Also got my first bill
they charge me two months RM 56 (Aug- 14 Sep) and (15 Sep to 14 Oct)
So means what? Does it mean that I have to always paid 1 month in advanced? I thought I am using postpaid?

Also don't know why got -RM28 in my bill
*
So when your terminate your account, the advanced payment will cover your last month bill. If you have any unbilled amount, you have to top up to that amount. In short, it's more of like deposit. Even TM does that.

Perak.

The 4G connection was rare though. Now my connection is 3G.
*
Ipoh? Officially, U Mobile website doesn't indicate LTE coverage in Perak.

How is Umobile 4G coverage around Cheras and KL area ah?
*
Cheras is pretty good. KL is good enough for general usage except KLCC area.

Hi. Does anyone know what is the speed limit for the data roaming?
I plan to subscribe the p70 and roam it daily in singapore ( as I work here)

RM 70 for 15gb is cheap!
*
Speed limit is as fast as the network capable of doing so

Yes, I agree for this statement.
Currently only maxis/Hotlink and Webe has available for TriSIM one.

Since maxis and Webe can implement this, why other telco such as U Mobile, DG and Celcom cannot implement this?
This will save cost and time, not need keep replacement SIMcard between nano SIM and mini/micro SIM.

I think now other telco think that replacement SIMcard also can gain some profit, so don't use TRI-cut form of SIMcard. shakehead.gif
Some-more replacement of nanoSIM card not cheap at all, cost around RM20-25 (if I'm not wrong). puke.gif

I believe nowadays this nanoSIM cost not so expensive at all already. If around RM3 ~ RM10 max, that should be acceptable for us.. (Assuming this original produce SIM cost with high MOQ each only RM1)
*
FYI, Yes also provide triple cut SIM card.

anyone facing the slow download speed on umobile since yesterday night? the download speed only 0.6mbps.... upload speed is normal

U Mobile's network is crowded. If you're connected to 3G, this is pretty good I would say.

Guys... if i wan to downgrade my P70 to P50.. i need to go to the Service Center or just call?
and anyone facing slow internet speed in this week ? my UMobile using LTE in Subang Jaya very slow ... dunno why, is it because i cut my sim card instead of using nano sim?
4G LTE download speed oni 0.27 mbps, upload 5.31Mbps
*
Perfectly normal if you consider the congestion on U Mobile's network.

4G LTE also congested ?  blink.gif  cry.gif
*
Yes it is. Have to wait until July 2017 when U Mobile turn on their Band 3 LTE, the situation will improve slightly.

QUOTE(usmanjailani @ Oct 7 2016, 11:34 AM)
i just converting to umobile just because of the 3Gb free internet..the freebies consist of  free basic internet and free high speed internet..and i assume the free high speed internet is LTE eventhough im only see 3G on my phone..so what speed it use for the free basic internet?.is it 3G or slower?
*
Free basic internet capped at 64Kbps so it's pointless to connect to LTE unless 3G is so congested that it's slower than 64Kbps.

Guys, I want to ask if I switch plan from normal to power prepaid, still eligible for 1GB fast internet? I usually reload RM30 for 60days validity. Does it work with this plan or do I have to reload every 10 days with a minimum RM10?
*
Power prepaid gives you 1GB free internet every 30 days from the time you make a reload for the first time for at least RM10. For power prepaid, RM1 = 1 day validity.

anyone tried data backpack (postpaid) or u data roam 10 (prepaid) in india? what was the speed like?

thinking of using it for my trip to india soon.
*
Only 3G for both carrier in India and network congestion in India is very real, so probably good enough for surfing the net but not for streaming.

anyone is using the umobile postpaid free data roaming in korea? i will be going there next week to seoul and busan hopefully both places that i will be staying are covered.

by the way, anyone are experiencing very unstable data connectivity recently? the data seems very unstable and sometime i can no data movement in my data in/out .
*
SK Telecom(U Mobile roaming partner) had arguably the best coverage around South Korea, so no worries about it.
Unstable data connectivity is totally expected since U Mobile network congestion is pretty terrible right now.

Excuse me for asking, but does UMobile support Fast Dormancy? If it is, it would help with the battery life a lot. Thanks in advance.

Subscribed to UMobile P98 last week. Not really satisfied with the line quality. When can I terminate the line? Will the deposit be forfeited?
*
You could terminate anytime. Your bill will be prorated and raken from deposit. They will refund if any left.

resolution needs to be set at 480p max to fall under video onz
*
Bullshit. Video Onz is capped at 1.5Mbps and Youtube will automatically uses 480p if resolution are set as auto. You could run Full HD but you probably spend more time buffering than watching.

First, Youtube's 'auto' means YT will choose the resolution according to your connection quality.
Source: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/91449?hl=en

Then, U Mobile DOES NOT cap your speed. They cap your quality.
Source: http://www.u.com.my/faqs/15/291
*
Youtube adjust resolution automatically because the speed is capped so why don't you try to load at HD resolution? You are saying this because you had no idea about how Video Onz works. Hell even youtube stated it auto adjust resolution based on connection speed if left it auto.

The speed seems to be capped is because Youtube has a way to delivery you a cache version of video. In order to serve millions, YT have to deliver some parts first.
*
If U Mobile doesn't cap the speed, why do you need to spend significant much more time to load even when your LTE speed could hit 40Mbps? Don't try to throw all these jargons to me and doesn't try to answer the question.
