One forumer WA me he only paid RM 2399 for it from Seven Mobile his ZF3 Deluxe ( 6gb ram/64GB ) version
It is sad that till now many still think Asus is an inferior brand in smartphones
My perception of it has change drastically after experiencing the ZF3 Ultra - a simply magnificent piece of gadget. I still feel it is worth its asking price though many still think is pricy

Yup
Asus is definitely a superior brand by any means.
They just lack of marketing like Sony

for me, I think zenfone 2 is a failed phone cause of the intel SoC. For a 1 year old phone, it is laggy and it's camera also is bad.

I think Asus learned from that mistake hence they improved a lot based on past mistakes. They improved the SoC, camera and design. All of which were the top issues with Zenfone 2.

Two things that made me stay away from Asus Zenfone is the non-back lit keypad and the amount of bloatwares it comes with.. I still can't fathom why Asus is still adamant in 'keeping' this two features

IMO, if intel hadn't stopped supplying atom soc this time around, we would have seen ZF3 with intel in it. may be Asus would have gone with Snapdragon SOCs anyway, but i think they would still have ZF3 versions with intel.

That wasn't my point, my point was even other more expensive phone than Zenfone 3 Deluxe gets more sales and hype than Asus, I do believe that branding matters a lot, but for RM2599 is actually quite normal for the specs, like I said, people are more willing to pay more for lower end specs, why they're not willing to pay for Zenfone 3 Deluxe?

Zenfone 3 Deluxe is very very cheap considering crappy Zenfone Ultra with crappy redmi note 3 processor selling at RM2599.

Sorry, your opinion on what asking price for a phone will not be in consideration for 99.9% of people in this forum and you know it. LOL

For me, I stay away from Asus because it always restarted for no reason. Padfone and Zenfone 2 also the same.

For those who plan to buy Zenfone 3, i can say this is a good phone for mid range. I know some will say expansive but in term of quality it is good (Not applicable to Imported Set).

ASUS phone have this "Auto-Start manager" which is very useful but other phones do not have this feature, correct me if there is other brand have this feature xD This is why i pick ASUS because i installed a lot of apps/games thumbup.gif

I think they will drop the price because new XiaoMi is launched =O

By the way, anyone here bought Deluxe version with SD821? is it good?

Of course got Auto-start manager. Every China phone also got auto-start manager ranging from Xiaomi to others.

Unfortunately Zenfone 3 is using low end processor for midrange price. They should at least use SD652. But no. They rather use crappy processor like SD625.

By the way Zenfone Ultra SD652 and Redmi Note 3 is SD 650 different wor doh.gif

SD625 is consider the best among the mid range doh.gif

However i do agree that Asus should use SD 652 to win this market but mid range nowadays all use SD625 la,
i think u come here to kacau one, everything also crappy then which one is the best for u? xD

Please i need those who really used Zenfone 3 Deluxe give some opinions.

Got it on Tuesday.

SD821/256GB/6GB RAM

Design wise top notch.

Did a little benchmark, antutu score was a little over 145k.

Although 'only' 1080p, screen is great.

Speaker is above average but listening FLAC music with my Sony MDR-1A is a pleasure.

Have not checked the SOT yet.

Didn't really have the time to check it but so far I am satisfied.

Will I recommend it to anyone?

Not to someone who is budget conscious.

this is why smartphone nowadays to me does not differ much one with the other. for example, with the auto-start manager thing - you can get apps for it if you don't already have it. the apps will have different features, sure, but you basically get it to do the same things. on the extreme end, you can modify the software and strip it down so that they all become essentially the same.
once you "match" all the apps, the main differentiating factors that remain will be the design (physical) and its specs.

SD625 is no doubt on the lower end of the midrange group. however, i have a feeling it was designed that way so that qualcomm has an option for SOC that leverages power-efficiency, instead of just "power"
I have a feeling Asus took the decision to use SD625 consciously. I mean, they probably were aiming to make the ZF3 power efficient. for performance, they covered it with other ZF3 variants.
however, for people who don't actually make use of the more powerful socs like SD650 or even SD821, like me obviously, SD625 is just the right choice. only thing is, I think that ZF3 is overpriced. I'd like to buy it, but I refrain from it since I can get the Mi 5 (xiaomi official version) for 1399 now.

i agree the price of ZF3 is a bit on the high side. But not that terribly expensive. Cause it really have good quality built and SD625 is really not that bad.

I got it from Digi with subscription packages so had some discount on the phone. That is worth it for me else I would not have bought that phone.

Comparing between mi5 and zf3 5.2", I would not mind going for zf3 cause it is better looking than mi5 and personally, I am not a fan of miui.
