I think that mean no hold or patrol mode on SotNW. Maybe those mode only reserve to premium player.

i did read the website, but seems like the rumor is unsubstantiated. apparently it was a hotly debated topic over there, as hot as our own b2p/f2p/p2p debate here.

all kinds of ideas from what you described, to a time limit disconnecter for AFK, that is you can only AFK for a set amount of time before getting DC-ed and a few others. but from what i can tell, none of them were implemented. thats what i'm hoping anyone can confirm/deny.

but the suck factor is the one channel part. perhaps there really arent enough players over there for them to keep all the channels up. either that, or there's going to be massive overcrowding.

the new f2p thing means that there are no more premium accounts. all those who had active subscriptions will be getting rebates and points for the cash shop monthly til their subscription runs out.

I wonder is a family name is "asdasdasd" does that count them as botters? Coz it seems theres alot of familys with incoherent names or just random names.

Usually i find them at kings road farming the hell out of the creeps over there but they seem to be able to take item too plus all of the random family names usually go around with the same set up for 2 musk and 1 scout.

Everytime I run into these 'adaasfafad' families my chararcters started to 'freeze' on the spot for about 1~2 minutes. The only thing I can do then is to watch the whole family get butchered. So I assume these bots can cause the 'freezing' thing, correct? Or I just coincidentally have network problem whenever they're around? :C

Official client have safe protocol to prevent the server from overload. adaasfafad running unofficial client doesn't follow the protocol timing and force packets onto the server which causes either overload or network congestion.

^And yet it's still around in the servers ? o_o

Oh ic, so are they running a botter program or an entirely redesigned granado espada client in order to fool the anti cheat program which is supposed to be included with the granado espada client?

Shouldnt the anti cheat/bot program be independent and constantly updated to prevent botters such as "punk buster" which is used for americas army?

Plus it seems extremely sophisticated since its able to acquire multiple targets much faster than even me using the "space bar" afk option plus they can move around freely, pick up items and use spells. I dont think these bots may do well in a crowded situation since their set up for 2 musk 1 scout and cant handle hordes.

I'm playing in a non-pk server so im wondering if most botters go to non-pk servers rather than pk servers since ppl can just attack those who are botting in pk servers since u dont need a request to duel.

The server usually won't boot them as long as the server and unofficial client can 'talk'. What I mean is unofficial clients 'talk' faster than the real client so server might not catch up. Get it?

i dont know for sure, but i'm getting the same vibe that i got back at the old RO thing they did at Sg. Wang, where the whole stupid thing was in cantonese. no offence to my cantonese friends here on the boards, but it was so silly then as the demograph of RO players i'm sure was a nice mix of all the races in our country, not to mention that there are chinese too that dont understand cantonese (two of the other friends i was with). lets hope SMM does not make thes same mistake as Gameflier did.
