All the sifu here, i am struggling whether to choose bandar rimbayu or other options like setia alam. As rimbayu is too far from the city, but i like the landscape for the whole canal city. Any sifu can give some advise why you pick canal city but not other township?

setia alam u no need drive more than 10 mins to nearby ameneties be it for cinema, for grocery shopping or for eateries.... rimbayu u have to drive to kk town to get the basic things u needed.... as for in and out of the township during peak hours... both jam abang adik nowadays.... NKVE traffic is getting crazier by the day.... same applies to ELITE or kesas when heading towards the cities.... where u working at right now and where's your constant social circle?

it took setia alam long time grow their basic ameneties and the mall... so dont put your hopes up that by 1 year plus u will get a matured township... working in KL basically it will be torturous for you to travel with the jam together as well... any outskirt township that you interested will be around 40km +- from KL.... unless u willing to start moving 6am everyday in the morning and able to go back on 5pm everyday in the evening... otherwise... 1 and half hour per journey to and from KL...

i can leave around 7am and i often work until 9pm. So the going back home should be fine for me. Just the morning headache part.

The distance bit is also what bothered me the most. I think when it comes to considering Rimbayu, it's a balancing act between what the place offers vs the travelling time to certain places i.e work or places we go for work.

Eventually I worked out a matrix of the time taken to go to common destinations, and see if there is an overwhelming impact to me should I shift to Rimbayu (both going out and coming in).

You can do this easily in Google Maps, but do bear in mind it tends to take you down the small road out of Kota Kemuning rather than the roundabout road. Also it assumes current average traffic at the BSP roundabout, which will probably get congested as the area develops.

Just put it down in numbers and it should give you a better perspective. Just my 2 cents on this

I am not rich like all the sifu here. The property that i interested is around 710k. I wish to buy freehold property also, but the whole Canal City landscape really make me feel comfortable. Everytime when i visit there, i got a feeling to stay there. But when come to rational, i will start thinking of i need to drive almost 100km a day for travelling to work.

Bean kor repeat and repeat again, how about the value of lishold Sunway, KD and PJ?

My office is less than 10km from my home. If i depart around 7am, i can reach within 25 minz. But if i depart around 8am which is bad luck, i take almost 1 hour to reach my office. But most of the time is around half an hour to 45 minz.

last time sunway kd and pj also not KL...

Actually what you mentioned,that is my point as well. But i see there is some properties selling near to RM600k with freehold at Setia Alam under SP Setia. Havent drop by their office for further inquiries. I have visited few township like Setia Eco Hill 2, Athira Bukit Raja & Elmina. Which i still prefer the Rimbayu landscape. Btw, the property i interested in is not G&G. But there will be fencing if MDKL approve within the Taman. So i quite enjoy to jogging and spend my time with my family in future next time.

LOL initially i quite like the place, its because my girl friend suddenly have doubt on the location of canal city. Thats why im struggling here. We did see many projects from KL condo to different townships. The only place we both are fine with the projects are Bukit Raja & Rimbayu. But somehow we still prefer the Rimbayu landscape. Woman is very good in changing their mind. So i just follow. But god know what they thinking.

Unless you're looking for high end condos, you will likely regret staying in a condo in or around the city. I've been staying in condos since moving to KL in 2002, and I've come to grow tired of it. The wait for the lifts, drive down to exit the condo, tagging at the guard house, and the same on the way back, not to mention lack of complete privacy and leisure space. I'd be so much happier being able to just walk out the door, straight to car, open gate and drive out.

The one bad thing for me about this place is the distance to work. But if it means I can enjoy peaceful weekends, the weekday hustle is fine with me.

Why would he do this? Does he get benefit out of this?

Wa... got so worst? You used MRR2? I stay at Setapak which now the whole setapak is developing, by the time all fully VP, it will be at least 10k units which i think the traffic will be worst than the current situation which i still need to spend like 30 - almost 60 mins to reach my office (the actual distance is just around 8km).

I feel angry if really take like 45 mins to reach as the distance is so near. Somemore i got did stuck in the traffic for 2 hours when i going home which i think can travel to Malacca. LOL So i assume by the time all the canggih condo vp, i cant imagine the traffic condition eventhough there are many construction on the road (expanding the road and new connectivity highways).

But eventhough the travel time is maybe 20 - 30 mins different. But the distance will be 10 times more which the maintenance of the car have to take into consideration. Really have to think deep deep... Unless i manage to find a new job around Puchong/ Shah Alam.

sometimes google map will varies by 20-30 mins especially during peak hours because as minutes goes by... more cars coming out to jam the roads... sometimes take abit of real life experience will be more suitable...
