Today I woke up at 6AM to pick-up the parents from KLIA. No jam, smooth and only 25 mins to reach.

On the way back already 7AM and the jam starts after the Putrajaya exit on the NKVE. Jam for at least 30 mins until BSP exit and another 15 mins after the BSP exit.

Then I waited till 9AM and left Rimbayu via the old Persiaran Anggerik Mokara till KESAS. Jam about 15 mins but moving. Only after reaching KESAS, stuck there for 20 mins. Upon reaching the Seafield exit to NKVE, jam another 15 mins.

All in, took me 1.5 hours to reach Jln Duta for a site inspection.

Pointless to get up at 7AM to leave because the jam starts at 7AM onwards on the NKVE.

Overall, Rimbayu is perfect for those who WFH or working nearby KK or BSP. Subang, Damansara or KL, forget it unless as a spare home.

Thanks for the traffic observation in the morning.
According to Google map, the shortest time to reach Jln. Duta is via ELITE (~45min) compared to KESAS(~53min) despite KESAS having shorter path.
Again, it is still a challenging journey to travel in the morning to City center & PJ.

I do agree with your last point. Just hope our council + developers able to do traffic improvement for inbound and outbound traffic at leaset smooth exit to major highways.
*
The problem with KESAS is the huge numbers of lorries speeding from Klang until Bukit Rimau exit. If raining, these jokers also speeding. I guess better to keep the middle lane to avoid them. Dangerous. Only after reaching the HICOM, they will leave KESAS and smooth traffic all the way to KL.

well- this is the normal accident-free day right.

once got accident - then have to find alternate route. - and this week just to severe accident in kesas.
oh course, add on to rainy day.
but why someone work at Duta wanna stay at Rimbayu? It is just occasional travel right?
this cant be day to day travel,
*
It is occasional travel only. I mostly WFH.

I guess it is cheapest landed in TPG compare among other developers. So there is potential of price upward when this place get mature.
*
It will be a very long wait.

First, need a new access road out. Looks like long delays still.

Second, need banks to start opening branches at Blossom and Uptown. Maybe another 3-4 years.

Third, legalised the guard houses. Many declared illegal by MPKL. Why? Simply because the developer failed to submit the plans for approval. For example, the Perennia guard house is currently in limbo. Many others could be the same too.

Too many illegal daycare and taska opening inside the gated communities. MPKL won't shit about it.

Today getting out need to face jams at the new BSP traffic lights and original Rimbayu entrance traffic lights. Easily 20-25 mins wasted.

After that, jam at the NKVE heading to Putra Heights or jam outside the HICOM exit on KESAS.

Surprisingly no jam at the Damansara toll exit. Maybe some people still on leave?

Blackout again in this area. Almost a monthly event here. In a a year at least 9-10 times.

Each TNB always blame the user. WTF!?!? Entire neighborhood no power is the user's fault?

Last event somewhere in September and took TNB over 7 hours to fix! Today easily 3-4 hours.

Haih.

Wondering is this impacted the Rimbayu alone or also other neighbour township at Gamuda, Eco and Tropicana?
*
From what I see, only Rimbayu. Places like Perennia, Periwinkle and Chimes already at 80% occupied and probably the TNB systems were overloaded.

Eco Sanctuary and Tropicana Aman not even 50% occupied.

That sound worrying if that's the case like the yearly water pollution at Sg. Semenyih. Sept I was at the sales gallery and faced with sudden blackout during S&P signing at that time I don't even know it is like a yearly event 😂

IJM and TNB both have to do something for it.
*
Yup. As long no upgrades done and more people started to move in, the power won't be enough for everyone especially during the holidays where more people will be at home with their families.

Spoke too soon.

Blackout again!

I guess need to wait another 3 hours.

Started to be a terrible place to WFH.

The power is unstable and breaks down monthly. This is not a scheduled maintenance from TNB but sudden breakdown for no reason.

TNB as usual only can take the report and let their consumers wait for hours. Pathetic power company to boot.

May I inquire if there is any water shortages in this area? Also wondering about the frequency of rain fall in this area.
*
As long not Kuala Langat, no problems with water shortages.

If Air Selangor has water interruptions, Rimbayu is usually unaffected.

Ya. If got water disruptions in PJ or KL, Rimbayu not affected.

In fact, for nearly 4 years living here, I only experienced 2 water cuts.

Not sure you guys smell a disgusting smell like burning plastic during mid night around Rimbayu? Some time start from 11pm some time 12am, quite frequently these days.
*
More like firecrackers every weekend or holidays. Dunno which idiot kept wasting money here and there. Perhaps a firecracker supplier living nearby?

Generally I only leave for home after 8pm if already 5pm and still in the city. Pointless to queue up 50 mins at BSP or KK entrance + 3 roundabouts.

Because this, I packed my shopping bags, laundry and work laptops in the car and do everything outside before heading home.

Now considering upgrading to an MPV and turn it into a mobile office plus portable pantry.
