Wanna ask, once DASH up, will it faster to go Damansara from Rimbayu? As I know, DASH connects from Damansara Perdana to Shah Alarm if not mistaken.

Moving there soon. Selling the KD house. Need to find somewhere with broadband and less people but also convenient for the parents.

I moved to Perennia in 2020 and have been travelling in and out (with MITI letter of course) almost daily.
From Rimbayu to KL (KLCC, Bukit Bintang and etc) will use MEX. Expensive at RM 8 per trip. Another alternative is Kesas > Awan Besar and MEX, about RM 6 per trip. From Rimbayu to Kota Damansara, will use Kesas, Persiaran Kewajipan and link back to Ara Damansara. The cost? Free. If other parts of PJ (SS2, DU), from Kesas, Persiaran Kewajipan, Federal Highway and lastly LDP. Free also. If PJ Old Town, it will be Kesas, Persiaran Kewajipan and Federal Highway. Free. Conclusion. Rimbayu to PJ = free. Traffic needs to monitor from Waze. Rimbayu to KL = not free, tolled roads ranging from RM 4 to RM 8 per trip. Only caveat, every appointment need to be at least 1.5 hours early to reach on time. |

After living here for 1.5 years, the jam has started to become worse especially at both Kota Kemuning and Bandar Saujana Putra entrances.
Between 8-9 AM, both entrances are quite a jam but still toleratable unlike the jam at Kota Damansara which I moved away from. Every day, I made sure to leave home around 10 AM and leave KL or whatever by 4 PM. Any longer sure stuck in the jam on the NKVE or KESAS. As for the exit, forget the BSP exit on the NKVE, jam for 30 mins due to the bottleneck after the toll. Instead, I chose to exit at Pulau Indah and use KESAS and enter Kota Kemuning. Before 5-6 PM still alright and minimal traffic. If coming from KL, pay extra and use MEX. Zero jam unless exit at BSP due to traffic coming from the NKVE. So, the best bet is still KESAS but timing is crucial. |

QUOTE(Clueless07 @ Nov 26 2021, 03:48 PM) it wont get any better right? unless a new highway being plan and build- which wont be the case at all Yeah. After the new McD opened, even more jam. People who used to dine at McD KK now drive all the way to McD Rimbayu instead.now the area just got busy and prosper with more phases being VPed- traffic is definitely expected to get worse. there is simple don't have proper egress being planned or executed. the traffic light after gamuda is one big bottle next. after that jam at at KK going into kesas when enter kesas a long crawl....... |

Now every day, jam like F going in and out especially at 5-6pm. If adventurous, can use Kampung Puchong to exit at Subang Jaya but the roads are terrible with potholes and uneven surfaces. early30 liked this post

QUOTE(hustlerism @ Mar 17 2022, 11:31 PM) Exit BSP and enter MEX. Expensive but zero jam. Alternatively, exit BSP and enter NKVE Jln Duta. Cheaper but jam at Jln Duta and nearby. If free road, exit Persiaran Kewajipan and enter the Federal Highway. The journey is around 45 mins to 1.5 hours depending on traffic. Agreed with everyone here that Rimbayu is not for everyone especially those working in central KL 5-6 days per week. I moved here from KD because of the jam and mostly because of my parents. They wanted a quiet place to retire and work on their hobbies. Myself is running own business and most of the time I can WFH or occasionally drive down to the site. As for groceries, nearest for me will be Lotus's Jenjarom or Ara Damansara. Plus I can also do the groceries on the way back from KL or PJ. Another plus point will be to visit smaller towns like Jenjarom or Banting. Plenty of good food there. A plate of large Wan Tan Mee is RM 5! Where else can u get at that price? Overall, great for the elderly or those who WFH. Bad for those travelling up and down daily. No matter what nice car u may own, the roads are not that good yet. Many speed bumps in Rimbayu. As for security, pretty safe. But I installed 3X cameras at the front just got kicks. During the Raya or CNY holidays, no funny characters lurking around. Unfortunately, Pos Malaysia service is quite slow here. Many times, the parcels went undelivered. Had to collect from Pusat Serahan Mel Telok Panglima Garang. martialren, hustlerism, and 4 others liked this post

QUOTE(MAC5 @ Jun 5 2022, 12:09 PM) Me. Working on projects which requires daily trips to KLCC area to supervise. About 3 hours wasted to travel to and fro every 8AM to 6PM. Luckily, I only need to work 3 days per week so not so bad. If I leave every 8pm daily, the trip home will be about 45 mins. Same goes if leave at 10-11AM. Only 45 mins. |

As with any new housing areas, there will be illegal daycare or taska sprouting like mushrooms.
The most stubborn one refused to relocate despite receiving samans. Apparently, the house owners themselves don't want to lose the fat rentals. Outsiders come and go as needed without bothering to register at the guard house. In this case, why bother having the guardhouse for? And the parents don't bother and park everywhere blocking others from going out. When confronted they argued back. It is like fighting for a lost cause. To those who just bought properties in Rimbayu. Ensure u kick unlicensed or illegal daycare or kindergarten off the gated communities. They cause nothing but nuisance with extra cars blocking the roads and entrances. The Majlis either don't care or just saman RM 300 only. Right now, I'm having the same problem of stupid parents parking their cars and blocking my gate entrance making it difficult to go in and out. The parents don't care and are not even bothered to register at the guardhouse and some even complained to the Majlis to make the guardhouse illegal. The guardhouse is part and parcel as per S&P. I guess the reason dump their kids at these illegal daycares is because they too not bothered to take care of their kids. If so, please don't fucking breed! bigbang90 liked this post

One thing I have noticed is the blackouts for both Rimbayu and BSP. In 1 year, easily 5 times lasting from 2 hours till 7 hours.
Today at 10.30AM, I have lost access to my IP cameras and remotely connected PC. The reason? Blackouts since 10.29AM. Now already 4.09pm and still no power. TNB said one of the breakers tripped somewhere in TPG. |

MCH! Blackout again!
The township must be growing to the point TNB could not keep up. |
