HI have anyone signed up with exchange vacation club best western. We signed up early this year. AT the beginning there was so much promises and the guy told us that for malaysian holiday booking need to book two weeks ahead, and if overseas need to book one month ahead. They gave us free stay at Anantara group. so we planned a trip to phuket in august. We informed the person in charge to do all booking required , at that times was told no problem, everything done. When called to clarify on somethings early may , we were told no booking done as fully booked. When i checked online booking , plenty of rooms available. When queried further, the manager now telling got quota lah thatlah, thislah, the same old rubbish all other vacation club also says. SO we told them to list out other SPG hotel, but the booking department said even that is fully booked. i feel this is utter rubbish.
When we were asked to sign up , no such thing mentioned, the guys told everything is smooth with their travel club. ( comparing with other travel club but we did not sign up with them, just listened to their talk ). THis booking 5 months ahead also they cant guarantee us. When we want to cancel the programme, due to their inefficiency, their team are saying got penalty almost 2K+, i want to make an official complaint against them, anyone can guide me further. We really felt cheated .

As for my case, i did not manage to report as when we went in a group to ask further , they refunded our full money on the spot through IBG. We were lucky in that way.

Hope whomever signing up do a thorough research and get everything black and white on the spot, Dont give them their own sweet time to send you the terms and condition. It is alot of money involved.

yes they did but we went in a group. if u read the the blog i mentioned. there is a guy name andrew. u can email him and maybe he can guide u. we all got together through him.
if u see the blog. alot of the best western personel r in it trying to blame we the customers for their mistake.
we should have just complained to tppm n the request for refund.

Since we got full refund we didnt proceed further.

i did ask last time to book in hotel then the story everything come out. up until today i still pay monthly fee because they said if i terminate all my money will gone.

I signed this package since 2016 too. So far i only claimed 1 time and forever can't claim for the free night. Its Actually not worth at all if you compare the night with the hotel on the website agoda. They try not to pick up my phone and not even reply my message.

I also bought package with best western exchange in march 2015. Now similar to all of you they are refusing to help stating many restrictions to bookings which were not mentioned during sales. Many empty promises made during sales thus I only managed to use 9/42 points. Was told by sales person that as long as package is fully paid, i will be able to book as many rooms as i wanted however when i tried to book maximum allowed was either 2-3 rooms. Paid 9000 for package. Customer service is very bad as they are rude and unhelpful. They avoid your calls and emails. Any ideas what can be done in order to get a full refund?

Your contract is they will buy back if you did not use it? If yes, they sell back to them.

Here mainly bad feedback and most of them never try the service but instead cancelled it after reading this forum. I dont think is a SCAM but have to see how's the service.

Hi, just to share my experience. I signed up in 2015 n have used it once during school break in 2016. Stayed at Residence Inn, Cherating for 2nights., 6 pax, one executive suite n one std room. Based on the hotel's rate (quoted in the website) both rooms costs rm680 per night. For the RM1360 i was deducted 10 days of the allocated vacation days in the package i signed up. I've just made a booking for this upcoming december school break, hope that it will work out as planned. The package i signed up is exchange club vacation package under the Best Western Sandakan Hotel and Residence (as printed on my membership card) but i noticed that it is now under Gloria Plaza Hotel Sandakan (as printed on the booking form). Hope this helps.

lodge a police report on commercial crime. fwd it to ssm and bank negara. bring to kpdn for tribunal. those ppl will surely settle in 3 days.

Signed up the so called Trial Package for RM6,000 + RM1,600 for Anantara fee. So total RM7,600

This package entitle me 7 point per year and up to 8 years. I can sell back the point to them maximum 3 points per year with RM180 per point.

They started with RM13,800, then cut to RM10k ++ then finally down to RM6,000. The reason they cut because i request what is the lowest package.

Not sure whether it is genuine but then would like to know you guys's experience who have used before.

My experience : They screwed up both my Bali and Taiwan trip. I have to go over to the office; sit down and ask them to confirm on the spot; even i have wrote / email / called / messaged them. send them 3 months before; they say to earlier; send 30 days they say fully book

Those of you are thinking of selling back : if you tried to sell before; they say you have to wait till it expires; if you go back after expires they say you did not write in earlier.

Please check your contact date : that is the actual expires date; not on the card which only mentioned year.

If you thinking of selling back : 6 night per year x RM180 = RM1080; wait till you see the exchange fees which is "RM 423 per year. So at the end; I just received RM 234.

My experience when i tried to sell back :
Went to their office; the receptionist simply says give her your membership number.
After a few second; says sell back is impossible because already expires. I told her; i called in few months before; her colleague says have to come back when expires.
I said i am unhappy with her reply. Demand to meet with her management. She says PIC not around. I told her is my right. Even if you dont accept my sellback; i have the right to see your management.
As usual; they gave me a number; says will call back.
2 weeks pass; after i follow up; they said accept my sellback. It took them another 3 week; for the PIC to send the confirmation letter
As mention earlier; if you thinking of accepting all full RM1080; ( will never happen). They deduct RM846 for 2nd and 3rd year exchange fees.

My suggestion - go to the office; sit there and demand to talk to management. If you call... they never reply.

I'm officially out from this membership. Thank god.

I would also like to check with other victims who have used the voucher. Did they cap the voucher amount of RM300.00 for 3 days 2 nights?

When i wanted to use the voucher and requested to book, only then they told me about such capping. They have never informed me prior to signing up. Give free voucher but not sincere.

I actually "join" on 15june with condition to pay 50% only rm5400 to lock the package offer, but still can decide on 16june whether to join or not and if cancel to join is with full refund.
So immediately next day I call to Hanim (the marketing personnel) to cancel.

I also went to this Gloria Plaza Sandakan Hotel. My first impression was, head tittle and exact address was different. I been told Rm14800 for 10 yrs, my example value each point is rm80 but selling price is rm150. If I buy low and sell high, I must be rich already. Luckily I didn't sign up for their scam

As there was a term stated inside the offer letter different from the term being offered before I sign up the program, thus I have communicated with the Customer Care's Senior Manager via WhatsApp before MCO for the said matter. Although he has promised to revised the letter for me after MCO, but I couldn't reached him for the update until now. After I searched the internet for the alternate contacts of the company, I found this forum which has made me more worry about my investment. Good morning everyone, I signed up to their package in February 2020 but I cancelled it after 2 days by going to their office. I was told that the refund process will take 60 days which I said okay. So happen, MCO came into effect and the company has been holding on my refund until today. Hundred of reasons given such as company is still not in operational and tell me to be patient.

I've lodged a police report and also filed a case to KPDNHEP. I also read that if we do a group report, it will be more effective.

recently i received call get free voucher for NOVOTEL HOTEL MELAKA, they ask me go to NOVOTEL HOTEL KL collect the voucher, after i reach there they say will present some plan for me, then i feel very weird but i still continue listen on their presentation, after listen around 15 minutes, i keep say no and Agoda is good that guy Raj face change, i also don't want waste my time, i just told him i no interested then they did no giving any free hotel voucher to me

After i saw this post, this scam things still alive, after RMCO i found out our personal details spread out due to we need to fill up our personal details, hope all please beware of this kind of "FREE"

I did a srm search and it is actually under swiss img berhad. They really cheat a lot people. I log polis report and more than 4 months, the polis not even start the investigation.
