Currently I'm playing WoW at 300-700ms ping on Illidan since 5 hours ago which is normal for me. Current IP is 218.111.xxx.xxx . What about others?

Definitely different IP affects different servers I think. Illidan has no lag at all for 218.111.xxx.xxx

I think my wow may have to be reinstalled..since I updated it to 2.0.3, it keeps on giving me the message that the login server is down! And seeing that you guys are able to login and play, i think it's not the connection problem for me.

Anyone had this problem before!?

I think I am having a similar problem as well. Each time I log into the realm server and am taking to the char selection portion, I get the message "Disconnected from server" after selecting my character.

Anyone else facing a similar problem?

Same, but this happens every now and then. No need for a reinstall, ur login session is just timing out is all. full reinstall will take about 4-5 hours lol, just let tak malu net sit on their asses while other ppl fix the issue. Then wait for the post on their announcments page saying "All lines fixed, C.E.O himself put on a wet suit and breathing apperatus and deep dived to fix the cable personally!" You know that's what will happen, they will take the credit for doing funk all. Then they will blame all for trying to access a US website too, and they have already tryed to pin responsibility on all companies who host outside of malaysia lol. Said something along the lines "We hope now that Malaysian companies will see the implications of hosting abroad instead of malaysia" LOL, imagine if ur a multi million dollar company dealing with the outside world, where would u have ur server? Damn right the US lol! Anyways, don't worry about ur game, i have noticed slow login response time, its just the ISP. I hear they just made a Roller disco in Sungai wang, go there and skate ur little heart out until it's fixedd lol.

There are tons of people posting the same problem about the problem that the patch caused, *unable to connect, dc etc.* But as of yet, no reply from Blizzard. Geez, how can they release a buggy patch to the public.

Use this script to get this 218.111 IP if you are using Streamyx.

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=265668&st=0

You can also modify it if you have knowledge about vbscript to use it on other ISP to test out some IPs.

I used to purposely grab 60.52.* to play with < 1k ping, average 400-700

Last week, this used-to-be-my-lucky-number do so bad, >1K ping, sometime 2k, even can reach 5k
and when I switch back to grab used-to-be-my-lousy-number 60.50.* its performancing around 1k-2k

yesterday I grab 60.53.* (1st time though), can play solo mission, hunting bugs in Silithus, around 1k-1.2k

Currently 10000ms+ for 218.111.xxx.xxx on Illidan. Login is fast but not Illidan sad.gif

Edit:
219.95.xxx.xxx = very slow login and having 3000ms+
219.94.xxx.xxx = fast login and having 900-1100ms and lag spikes that gives u 3000+ms

No IP is playable now on Illidan. Back to disconnectfest. sigh

Edit: Bittorrent seems to be affecting WoW. It's not even running at 50% of my bandwidth. WoW has no problem for me when I turn BitTorrent off. Looks to me that TMNet capped my bandwidth.

You can use Notepad and edit that vbscript to use 219.94 . It's my alternative if I can't get 218.111 .

I am getting 400-500ms latency. But once I see more than 10 mobs/hordes either in front of Dark Portal or in BG, the lag kicks in.

I suspect there is some limit not remove yet on bandwidth or something.

Capital cities are no-go zones for now. Same for BG's, even though getting ingame 400 - 500ms latency. Once a crowd of people shows up, I get lagged out and kicked off the server.

Give info on your IP as well, I've heard 219.94 is playable and that 218 is ancient history =/

218.111.xxx

Fast login, able to log into Durotar but all I see are naked people dueling verry slowly before getting disconnected.

Using 219.95.26.x. Outdoor areas are around 400+ ms latency.

However note that once you enter any heavily populated area, or go into the BG's, it'll lag you out. Suspect that there is a bandwidth limiter as another thread states. I can go from that 400+ to 5k once I run into the pile of people in AV, or even a firefight in AB.

I've never gotten better latency before , log in with a ping of 210+ then it climbs to roughly 300-450. Very cool , can farm and even BG now. Yesterday cant BG at all , keep dc'ing everytime theres a crowd .Today much better , can pvp all day.But still cant raid , ms 350 for 2 hours then zone into mc and ms climbs to 15k and keeps dc'ing me none stop, till i zoned out. Well hopefully this will be resolved in a few days. I suspect some form of bandwidth limiting ......

fingers crossed..this is 2 days in a row my latency has been stable between 300-600ms. Didn't bother trying 40man raid, but AQ20 ran fine for me. Still holding my breath though smile.gif

219.95 is playable for me for short times. At least I can duel outside of Ogrimmar today and yesterday. About 1-2 hours later it will spike to 3 to 6k, and I logged as I'm not in the mood to wait for it to go down.

No idea. This is expected for bad ISP like TMNet anyway. Can't do much about it but TMNet announced that it will be 80% capacity by 12th and 100% by 20th.

Latency seems to be the best I've had ever before... only when it gets to highly populated areas especially AV, I get lagged out.

Can't PvP but at least I can farm...

Same problem with Tristan, 218.111.xxx.xxx started lagging around 3pm, tried waiting but didn't improve. Switched to 219.94.xxx.xxx, back to normal latency; 300-700ms.

Go to this topic:

http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=265668&st=0

Modify this script using Search and Replace on your Notepad. Just search 218.111 and replace it to 219.94. You can even change it to other IP if you have other ISP but only the IP that your ISP has.

Yesterday (well.. technically it was earlier this morning) I logged in at about 1 a.m. and the connection was back to normal! I could AV in the front line with no lag spikes. Continued until about 3 a.m. then I had to go get some sleep.

Oh please please let the line stay this way.

60.xx IP.

From Penang, using :

218.208.x.x is still unplayable.
219.95.2x.x or 219.95.23x.x = Playable when soloing, or when there are no large crowds around. I get disconnected even in Goldshire for goodness sakes, when there are a lot of people duelling in front of the inn.

I believe that you cant send too much packets over at once or TMNet will probably throttle your speed. So what i'd normally do is start out in a normal area with hardly any players, slowly increase the number, and at last enter the main cities. I've been getting 250ms with 218.111.xxx.xxx in Barthilas.(Areas with little people). And i still get a yellow bar in cities, hardly red.

I believe TMNuts is doing some kind of bandwidth limiting at the mo before the cable is fixed. I've been getting smooth Latency 200-500ms all over Outland, but whenever I go into any crowded city, e.g. Honor Hold everything will start lagging and latency will jump to 1k..2k...10k then d/c every times. So it's like when u go into crowded area the server is sending you a lot of data to draw at the client side (many toons appears at once), because of the limited bandwidth, packet loss and u d/c. Same as multiple people using same connection to play....it lags and d/c, all due to the bandwidth limiting.

Experience with playing my BE pally:

Random questing seems to be fine. Went from Ghostlands > Silverpine > Barrens and had no problems at all. Ping was a constant 300-700 ms. The only problem, the second I step foot into ANY city, the lag goes through the roof sleep.gif Couldn't even do RFC so I think it may apply to instances as well. Anyone else experience something similar?

Umm this may be a dumb question but some of you in 4 digit lag hell...are there routers/firewalls, etc. getting in the way of your latency? It's been pretty normal for my connection for at least 10 days now. Just curious, since I know my connection still doesn't allow me to do 40man raids. It's a good thing my guild is all busy levelling again though and no 40mans for a while smile.gif

There is no other IP that is better for me. I still prefer 218.111 or 219.94 . These are the IPs that doesn't lag much no matter what time you play.

Ganking 1v1 is fine, ganking 1 with a party is a noob type of gank. There are plenty of bad players doing this cause they don't use brains at all. It's inconsiderate cause you know you will win and take advantage of it. They won't know when it happens the same way to them. Winning with number of players is nothing.

Is ganking an unprepared enemy or one who is in the middle of fighting mobs or one heavily injured and resting after a vicious battle with mobs honorable? I dont know, killing a wounded enemy or a distracted one is like stealing candy from a baby..no thrill... I would prefer facing off a guy 1 on 1 and burning him down to the ground ... then again I'm more warrior like for a fire mage lol.

Lagging like crazy since 8:30am. Can't play at all, I'm on 218.111.xxx.

I linked the news to my Singaporean guildies and they laughed at the "fishing hook" mentioned in the TM article.

Yesterday i logged at Honor Hold and do some questing over and there's no lag at all, usually when i enter HH, my ping will go up as high as 14k MS, but last night it was like 400-500ms only. Also did HF Ramparts and some world pvp and everything running smoothly. I will try again today after i got back from work.

YOU ARE NOT PREPARED!!

always open up with a sap first, if it wares off and they start to actively look for you then it's on. else if they /wave means they are either a) not interested to pvp and would rather quest or b) waiting for backup to arrive.

back on track : so far no major lag issues yet only the sudden disconnections out of the blue sometimes. anyone got the same problem?

edit : on 60.48. stormbreaker hold 2.7K MS >.<

have no idea what you're trying to mean by that quote from illidan. Nice response but doesn't answer the point of making ganking any better.

Opening with a sap? heck if somebody sapped me from out of the blue I sure as heck will start actively looking to find out where that came from but that doesn't mean i am interested in pvp lol.

so what you are telling me at the end is just this...whack him first to see his response, he moves..its on...kill him. He waves...he may be waiting for backup..kill him to be safe...lol pretty opportunistic imho

yeah thinking about it but the lag has been HORRIBLE...yesterday it was like a yo yo. One moment 12k then 1300 then disconnects...I really dont know what TM Net is doing. I'm waiting for TM to stabilise itself cos right now WoW is almost unplayable.
