based on reports from HK, seems like there are some gamers that stacked their PS+ subs using discounted price are charged back to full price when they tried to upgrade their PS+

best check your charged amount with a calculator first before you press subscribe

Sony very smart at how they calculate the top up amount. Also facepalm to all who stacked, now need to top up for such long stacked time frame.

I think Sony should give option subscriber to just top up for certain period instead of whole stacked period

it ain't smart, it's all about greed of Sony

eg:
some that stacked their PS+ at discounted price at RM119 for 2 years, wanna upgrade to extra
by right they should just pay the difference of current PS+ Essential RM159 and Extra RM269, which should be (RM269 - RM159) x 2 = RM220

but instead they'll be paying more based of their discounted PS+, (RM269 - RM119) x 2 = RM300

I've check my PS+ that still has 482 days left, and they'll be charging me RM215.77 for the upgrade, the math doesn't add up because I stacked discounted PS+ previously

gamers who invested in the discounted PS+ previously are penalized if they wanna upgrade

Sony basically is telling us to cough back the savings that we had if we wanna the upgrade

You are right. My ps+ to upgrade is rm171.62 for 385days.

Using the difference between extra and essential rm269 - rm159= rm110 per year. Rm110/365 days = rm0.301/day.

So by right for 385days they should charge me only rm0.301x385=rm116. This means sony is charging me 50% more.

I think either will wait for discount or just pay if cannot wait. Damn this sony.
