Hi,

I'm facing the same problem too, but with a TP-Link Access Point. After connecting the AP to Maxis Router, Astro would not work after awhile.

Are there any other setting that you made to your TM router aside from disabling DHCP? Would a normal switch do the same work?

Thanks.

Yes, a normal switch will do the same work.

Is Maxis bad?

From Worse to worse?

Heard many from Maxis but not from Unifi. Unifi under TM and Maxis also under TM.

Any idea why would a switch be required? The AP cannot be connected direct to Maxis Router?

If you want to connect ot to Maxis router, it makes no difference. You are still under Maxis Router. The reason ppl buy custom router is bcs they dont want to use the crappy router that Maxis provided. Not to tell you that, there are 2 more accounts which has higher rank level than the Administrator Account you have, and they are monitoring your activities. I hate ppl to stalk me.

I'm on unifi 10mbps rm199 package. Haven't upgrade to 30mbps yet.

Juz want to ask. Is it worth to switch to Maxis Fibre 10mbps? I saw the price is cheaper and i'm a Maxis One subscriber so got promo.

For me, to switch, i would want a stable, reliable, and problem free network for home usage. Only me and wifey are using it and occassionally, family comes along and stay at our house n use it too.

So is it worth to switch? Juz dont want to face any pblms if change. Later, regret and cannot get out of contract. Any advise appreciated. Tq

Maxis is worse than TM Unifi.

Too pricey. You will regret if you subscribe.

Maxis is more expensive than UniFi but, I dont encounter any issues about slow speed on fb, youtube and high ping on Asia game server. If in terms on quality Maxis won but if in terms on pricing, UniFi won. If you feel quality is the most important thing then you just go for it.

Thanks for both of ur replies. I'm quite surprised that both u say unifi much cheaper. Is it becoz i have looked at d promo price 4 maxis fibre 4 maxis one plan user (10mbps for rm128) n i think maxis is cheaper? 4 me, i hope that if i use maxis, the quality, speed and also stability is as gud as my unifi 10mbps rite now.
