btw received my statement & annual report booklet today.

seems like ASNB "combine" all the fund that's end 31 March 2016 into 1 page statement. the statement have ASM, ASB2 & ASG biggrin.gif

guess it's cost saving measure. so those have both ASM & ASG or all 3 will get the statement + all 3 booklet at the same time in one envelope thumbsup.gif

I went RHB Midvalley, and failed to update my ASG passbook where i opened my account here.
Where else can I update the passbook? Not even my home branch can do it
*
did the teller / staff say why cannot update? hmm.gif hmm.gif

btw if u don't do any transaction, April 1st yearly u update is enough thumbsup.gif

and there's no such thing as "home branch" for ASG. it's not bank account biggrin.gif

Today went to three places and all no available quota. laugh.gif

So ASNB HQ is my last luck.

Btw I went to RHB Sungai Besi , Sri Petaling Maybank , Kuchai Lama Maybank (as the #3 post said).

Sri Petaling one advice me to look around newspaper, online web for announcement of open account availability.

All bank staff same pattern, never key in computer, never give me form or anything for filling, directly told me no quota. I ask back you never check also how come you know no quota? Then they all answer me no need check one, no quota then sure no quota. So as a forumer told me, No need waste time.
*
wow 3 places rejected doh.gif bangwall.gif and dare to say no units without even checking when we ask ranting.gif
well ASNB is the only place u can try now.. don't give up hope..

I have a silly question here, if you all do not mind.

For those who plan to bring 4 to 5 digits or more in cash to invest in ASNB, do you withdraw your cash over a bank counter?

If I am not mistaken, the maximum amount for ATM withdrawal is RM 5000 per day, so it is not practical to use ATM card for such withdrawal.

Thanks for the advices. smile.gif
*
yup. withdraw at bank counter. put in bag..

and run away as fast possible to ASNB to top-up devil.gif

Usually I will withdraw OTC for 5 digits. Before and after the withdrawal, I usually will scan the surrounding area. Always carry a long tongkat umbrella with me as I'd normally walked from bank to home and then by car to another bank/ ASNB. Luckily for me,  the counter for PB customer is at the side end, away from prying eyes. For big amount, they usually asked me to enter a side room to get the lump sum of cash.
Yes, I've also walked with 6 digits in my worn out shopping bag.
If you're going by car, park at bright area. Always beware of your surrounding and don't get distracted by h/phone. Once you're inside car, locked and drive home/ next bank immediately.
Once you identified which is the best bank for your ASNB transactions, better open up an account & do instant transfer by IBG- 0.53c only.

Actually your track record is impressive for 6 digit/book.  rclxms.gif Some people who worked in the bank to topup RM15k, took a month! (someone posted)

BTW, for those interested, Affin Bank Bukit Tinggi allow one to leave your ASX FP book there with your Affin SA book there. The amount you can topup how much you want (depend on how much is inside your SA). No SA book, no talk. You don't need to be a priority customer to  do this. If you want to leave the book there, need to ask the staff can or not. The staff told me no problem. Can just leave it there but must have money inside SA then we can try for you.

That's why I love Affin Bank so much. High FD rates, no queue, never push any products to their customers; priority services without the need of one being a priority customer.  rclxm9.gif  rclxms.gif  biggrin.gif

wow so good of them to offer the "special service" to those ask them rclxm9.gif
