Is AS1M a better bet compared to Forex or FD or Buying Gold now?
*
AS1M you will always get 6.x% unless ASNB runs out of reserves. It's always better than FD. That's why me and some other people here are moving out our FDs to amanah saham fixed price.
Forex can earn if you know what you are doing. Just ask wil-i-am
Gold no. Cause now eveeybody buying gold. If you buy before brexit, then yes.

You aim for Asm? Thought most people aim for ASW
*
Asm is the easiest to get ma. Some more they all give more or less the same returns.

What happened b4?
*
MYR keep dropping, USD keep going up, news after news about a certain individual keeps coming out plus with uncertainty that ASX FP can become ASX VP
Lots of people liquidate their hold on ASX FP including people here on LYN. Some people here liquidate half of their holdings amounting to 6 figure.
You can particularly choose how much you want to topup. 5 figures one shot no problem. Every single day sure have. icon_rolleyes.gif

Now, looks like history is repeating. Just hope this time people press the panic button instead of not pressing it.

That was just few months to a year ago, so will it affect the upcoming dividend?
*
No. Unless economy remains bad then I dont know how are they going to draw from their reserves if it depletes.

QUOTE(aromachong @ Jul 22 2016, 06:19 PM)
wow.. low fd rates incoming... bad news

but glad we still have asw2020
*
Precisely. And some people laugh at me for recommending ASX FP. Thank god I move out 70% already. Another remaining 30% FD to move

QUOTE(Kamen Rider @ Jul 23 2016, 05:43 AM)
Question .... exactly the maximum we can have in ASM, AS1M, ASW2020 etc....
and is this really a safe heaven smile.gif

if i max out , then they distribue the units, then , willl cause any thing
*
There's no limit. The limit = the amount of money you have and also availability of units (if you are a non bumi)
Depends. Amanah saham is not a transparent investment. So you won't know exactly how much is your investment worth.
Eg, that year you suppose to get 30% returns, you will only get 6.x%. Same goes if that year, the fund is making 30% loss, you won't suffer loss as they are using the reserves to pay you.
Also it's run by the government. Keep that in mind. If ASNB don't bankrupt then is ok.
But if you are asking if anyone ever lose money from amanah saham, answer is no. How can one lose money when buy and sell = RM1/unit.

Like I said. There's no limit. The limit is how muxh of money you have and whether you can get get or not. Lagi with OPR decrease, less and less people are selling.

Was informed that some banks/branches have to pup and withdrawal limit per day, whilst earlier posts seem to contradict with this. Any views?
*
If cash limit is rm25k. If withdraw straight to account is unlimited. If post office, I only rm5k/rm10k.
Affin ba k only rm10k for now (new agent)

ASNB's dividend distributions will go in tandem with the falling FD rates too.
*
I highly doubt it. Give anything less than 6.x% and mass withdrawal might happen. ASNB is not FD although they can be considered as FD on stroids/hybrid FDs. rclxm9.gif laugh.gif

I'm prepared for lower dividends- <6%.
As long as higher than FD, I'll not be part of 'mass withdrawal' but will definitely top up more & more.
*
I thought you are not topping up anymore? hmm.gif

Only certain bank or all banks can have top up/withdraw more than 50k by filling forms?
*
If you meant the RM50k, is for cash topup. Should be nationwide as ASNB introduce it to prevent money laundering.

and u see my previous link. listed companies in bursa gave lower dividends in Q1  bruce.gif
*
Please la during 2 financial crisis, they paid out +- the same dividend. Don't see why they won't do it.

Are you joining ' mass withdrawal' if dividend <6%? Let auntie twinkle knows ahead so that I can Q for your ASW.

If it falls below FD for 3 years consecutively, I will let you know. But I don't see that happening yet.
