any frequent travelers here who travel with a kid around 1-2 years old, eating 40% solid food and 60% on formula?

how do you manage and what do you feed the baby? want some ideas as at the moment i'm thinking of 1 meal porridge and 1 meal puree (most convenient is steamed pumpkin, that's all i can think off)... 1 meal will be eating out, something the toddler can eat like pasta, egg, or something like that...

once my wife very rajin cook everything from home before going on a journey to her hometown. but now because quite busy and not enough time, we usually find fresh buns or bread will do the trick. my son is already 1y 4m, his eating is now 60% solid food 40% formula. but sometimes my son very picky wants rice, best bet is kfc nasi ayam combo or find any chicken rice shop tongue.gif

my son's favourite is kicap with rice, no kicap sure tantrum wan rclxub.gif

my kid (2 yo) travels and wife no longer packs food. just eats whatever is on the plane. just share. as long as not spicy. otherwise becomes very mafan to carry extra stuff. but if travelling with 2-3 adults, then can bring something. but even so, gotta wash up and all that, so now dont do that as the planes food normally not spicy, normally is liek a fish or chicken/beef and rice dish, plus they serve fruits too.

speaking of constipation, my son worst is only 2 days max. more than that my wife will go worrying shit out of it d, so we had a trick to feed him yakult or vitagen to make him poo. works like a charm yo biggrin.gif

note, doctors claim for 1 year old baby, once a week is considered normal for them. but i guess it doesn't apply to everyone, the parents should know their kids better

you need to pay for their ticket, but no seat allocation for them.

MAS - 10% of adult ticket
Air Asia - RM50

others, i'm not sure..

hahah. yeah you pay for the ticket, but no seat. i guess its for their insurance and service and such. you can order an infant meal, but they wont give you another adult meal. so just share, as their infant meal normally heinz.

yeah its normally around 10% or so i think for most carriers. not sure of the age they force to buy seats though. but if you are lucky, they will 'block' a seat for your kid if flight got space.
