Reboot didnt fix the issue. I managed to enter Quasar setting by running Quasar and move cursor to the left side and click "options".
However, when I tried access setting through my add-ons, Kodi hang. So I can't uninstall it. Even the version is still 0.9.78 on the listing.
I also suspect the installation is messing my Kodi and Quasar. My torrent only manage to go up to 20kbps speed while the same torrent can go 1k++ speed in my Galaxy S8. Will try fresh install both Kodi and Quasar later on.
Also notice Kodi on Google Play has latest update dated 28/2/2019.

something is not right about that plugin, but u can make it work.

.. correct, after installation, the addon still shows 9.78 rather than 9.79.
.. when u first install the zip, it may hang... just exit, power off, whatever... re-enter, all will be there.
.. when u access the quasar or burst addons, do not click on "info" - kodi will hang; can click on "settings", do yr stuff.
.. the initial speed may be slow and can take up to 3 min to ramp up... the bigger the file, the longer this "waiting" time.

we to wait for a further improved plugin.

Ah.. I just installed the latest update from Play Store and seems okay too. Download speeds and behavior is still normal. However, I checked the Quasar addon version and it's still as you reported.. Also, pressing I or seeking information on the addon will freeze Kodi. Want to access Quasar's settings? Just highlight the addon, bring up the context menu and choose settings. It'll pop-up and can save when done. That and being able to download and play fast smooth is more important to me. But for your slow speeds, it could be your storage location is too slow? Using external storage?

Try small file size around 2gb and download to internal storage on neo u9-h, still slow.
Try big file and download to micro sd card also slow. I'm using sandisk extreme pro a2.
Will proceed with fresh install both Kodi and Quasar.

Yeah.. Do a fresh install. The internal storage is plenty fast enough.. It's probably the same 16GB eMMC 5.0 Storage type with my Neo U1. Which is capable of sustaining high read and write speeds. I did try a Samsung Evo Microsd card once.. But it couldn't handle it. Fully download at fast speeds and no problem.. But simultaneously playback while downloading? Nope. Now using an external USB powered HD with spinning disc. Yep, try a fresh install.

Yup, don't think either the internal storage or the microsd that caused the slow download speed. Definetly gonna do fresh install.

There's a new addon called Seren but I'm unable to play any movie yet... Anyone knows of special setting for this as it seemed potential

I've read on reddit that this addon required real debrid or premiumize.
Maybe other member who have tried the addon can confirm.

Will not work now without Real Debrid.

Good day, kodi community, im here to invade your hood! Haha... not sure if this has been asked before, is it possible to switch between addons just like u switch btwn apps on android devices? Does this thing even exist at all? Task manager to manage running addons, kill inactive addons, lock some addons to always stay active etc...

Each time i tweak a few settings of kodi itself, i cant directly get back to where i left off in an addon, had to start all over again!

Obviously the Native app will work better on the Shield than the addon. For kicks, i tried it on my Neo U1 and it works but res was 960 X 540 and stereo audio.. So definetely back to using the TV's app instead. Easier to navigate and nicer looking UI too..

Kodi is an app, not an OS.. So while it's powerful on it's own, there are certain limitations. There are addons that can run in the background.. i.e. Plexus, url resolver, quasar burst, etc.. Now how they work and why is a lengthy conversation that I can't go into at the moment. But summarily, just dive in and you'll learn along the way.

Check your keymap file and ensure that pressing the back button on your remote actually sends a back signal and it's interpreted as going back one level..vs backing out of the app or section completely.. However, when you completely exit an addon? Yes, only way back in is from the beggning again.. Certain links/functions in an addon can be set as favorites and or linked to the library.. So make use of those as shortcuts.. Again, lengthy explanation required as it's a matter of what you want done in the first place and if the addon was coded to allow it or not.

anyone facing any problem with SportDevils add on recently? cannot access the LiveTv.ru to watch 1080p HD football last weekend. One weeks before that still ok. got block by ISP or add-on issue? already reinstall the latest version of SportDevils still the same.

Device: Nvidia Shield (Android TV)
Kodi: 18.1 Leia
ISP: Maxis 30mbps

so last weekend just use the RedBox app to watch live soccer (quality at most 720p and not so stable, use BEIN channel 2 (arab) or channel 11 & 12 (english commentary)).
