What specifically did you do and how did you do it? As mentioned, the Phoenix addon is already dead. Hey, take some time, go back to page one and read thoroughly. Seems you don't understand what Kodi does and how it works. Start there first.

yes you need to authorize trakt to link to addons.
go to the settings of the addon, most of it has a tab for "Accounts" or something.
if there's Trakt, press on it. follow steps on screen.

of course the pre-requisite is to have a trakt account...

This one used to work long time ago, then died.

That new link is suspect.... warning from pc when dwnlding; one device refused to install it; crashes on another.

EPL... can get with kodi project cypher,  uktvnow app and mobdro app.

With sky sports main event and premier league channels.

As expected, the hd links not so smooth, sd ones are fine.

Badminton.... i have not noticed any badminton matches in any kodi addon.

I think its easier to find them on youtube.

No they won't go missing. Just make sure that currently installed addons are also Krypton compatible (most popular ones are)... Also, change to default confluence skin before updating to avoid launch issues after install.

Yeah, I disabled automatic updates on all apps when possible and on the Play Store, cuz I like to manually initiate an update and watch for changes instead of being surprised and not immediately know that the app was updated. Good thing, the issue was an easy fix. So no biggie. 
Install the official YouTube addon. Use that to test that Kodi is able to connect and stream.

like everything under the sun, not all links, all videos work all the time... whatever app, whatever device.

becos these are free and owners don't do it 100% for free!

if some don't work, find others that work.

if ALL don't work, there is a problem, discuss in relevant thread.

Weird.. I’m assuming that you installed the YouTube addon from the Kodi repo using the Kodi app. Which means that the app is able to connect to the internet. Try GuyM’s suggestion above.

I am guessing:-

Internet is normally based on best effort, fair competition or highway congestion type.

IPTV is probably dedicated path with minimum QoS guarantee type of connection.

But I am not knowledgible enough about the market if any service provider is providing this kind of IP connection to subscribers.

Good that was an easy fix and should have been the first port of call  . The dedicated IPTV LAN settings is probably there to accommodate an As*** or other IPTV service partnership.
I do believe there are As*** - TIME IPTV packages.
It's okay bro... It's like how TM's UNIFI routers are setup as default. The LAN port 4 is configured/tagged only for Hypptv purposes and won't allow normal internet connections through. For one to regain full usage of that port, one has to login to the router settings and manually change its config. Then can use all four ports as normal.
