Better. Quasar is dead. Elementun still updates

quasar is 100% alive n kicking.

I doubt it as they both operate upon the same principles, just that Elementum is more recent and has extra tweaks. I installed it yesterday to give a test run and it kept crashing upon each Kodi start. Quasar, no such problem. Perhaps, it could be it's clashing with Quasar? I wouldn't know and didn't bother to troubleshoot just then. Later I will.. In the meantime, I went to my library and began watching linked content using Quasar.. Smooth.

Quasar isn't dead. That's like saying Kodi Krypton is dead because it doesn't receive updates.. But you launch it and it does what it's supposed to do.. Same with Quasar, it's stable and definitely alive..

I installed Elementum on PC. Smooth and very fast. No issues but up to 1080P files only. No 4K. Trying to install now on android box Fail. Will try again. If fail again will try to install Quasar on box.

Hmmm, when you say fail. What do you mean? Cuz mine was installed on my Android box too.. Haven't tried on pc.. No much time to tinker these days.. I downloaded the all-in-one zip file. It installed successfully, just crashes upon Kodi launch. I can access it's settings, etc. Probably, a little hiccup I need to sort out to get it to work properly.. Judging from the settings alone, it does seem like it'll offer better performance than Quasar and that pleases me cuz dev still on-going.. Just not motivated atm as Quasar still does fine. Plus, Quasar does 4K, HDR10, etc..

Do let us know how yours go.

Nope yours is not related to monitor..

Ghost Iptv is back up again... Would highly suggest test which channels you like and save as fav in Kodi just in case

wana ask all sifus that do we need to enable vpn to install those add-ons?

i googled and found lots of add ons but it stated there need to use vpn else might risk getting caught..

also, any1 can share link for hd eng movies with subtitles included?

I've managed to install quasar addon and able to watched few movies after that. today morning when opened kodi, quasar pop up the general setting request me to set back the not fat32 folder where i checked the folder i set earlier have changed to other format. (i set the folder in usb thumbdrive).

restart again and promptly get message internal server error and quasar daemon restarting.

what seem the issue?

u did not say what device u r using.

some devices are problematic when it comes to setting path to ext storage.

also, fat32 is limited in file size, so if u do a big file, it may give error.

use ntfs formatted drive as storage for quasar.

im using himedia H8 and my usb is 16gb ntfs

not entirely familiar with yr box but if using current firmware and kodi 17.6, should be fine.

suggest:

.. try with a bigger portable HD.

.. remove everything kodi and reinstall.

.. note that whenever u change anything in quasar, u must click on all the "OK"s on the page(s)... and EXIT kodi, go back in for changes to be effected.


if u can get it to work but then fail again, u may want to check your box memory.

1/8gb boxes are not good for large apps/addons like kodi/quasar.
