UI: phone system still very unstable, even after two firmware upgrades
At the time of this review, the latest phone software version for the M600i was R4A002 - and Sony Ericsson has stuck with this version for quite some time already, which probably means that they feel it is "stable" enough for use.
But after having used the M600i extensively since the upgrade, I am still finding stability issues with the phone. The biggest problem was with the phone restarting itself sporadically (at least once every 2-3 days) - and the reason given being "to improve overall phone performance". Yeah... fine, but just not when I'm in the middle of doing something - and without any sort of notification whatsoever!
However, when compared to the previous major release, R3A004, the upgraded M600i was indeed more stable (and problem-free) than before.
Usability: slower-than-expected response times from smartphone UI
The overall responsiveness of the M600i UI is no comparison to the lightning speeds of the P910i. Not to say the M600i was unbearable when it came to its use - but this will probably come as a major shock to those existing UIQ 2.1 users who've grown accustomed to the finer workings of their smartphone device.
This will be something that Sony Ericsson needs to work on improving. "Tolerable" is how I'd describe the responsiveness of the UIQ 3 platform at this stage.
Not sure about other problems, but the above 2, has been addressed in the latest firmware. Navigation is quite speedy and it seldom restarts compared to previous firmwares. So I guess its really improving by the day.At the time of this review, the latest phone software version for the M600i was R4A002 - and Sony Ericsson has stuck with this version for quite some time already, which probably means that they feel it is "stable" enough for use.

I've got no problems at all with my W950i.
