I bought my Macbook White used and loving it despite being 6 years old. Still very zippy compared to my Lenovo Flex2 with W10. Since then, I upgraded the RAM and hard drive to SSD. Now can fly.

tumpang thread ... I'm considering to get one as well. Which Mac is best for developing apps, photoshop and stuff, no gaming and movies every now and then.
Had multiple laptops + windows, upgraded to 16gb ram still runs slow. sigh |

What kind of apps? Web apps? Mobile apps? But in general, MBP 13" is good enough. with min 256gb disk space. 15" would be better since screen is bigger, got dedicated GCHad multiple laptops + windows, upgraded to 16gb ram still runs slow. sigh |

if you have the money then just give a try...
you will not regret on buying it... but you will under utilise it when you bought... because limited "FREE" applications... i'm 'under-utilising' one MBP 13" but no regret.... |

I'm running PS, AI, INDD, iMovie, Final Cut Pro X and a few other apps (not programming) on 2012 MacBook Pro with 8gb RAM. Still smooth.Had multiple laptops + windows, upgraded to 16gb ram still runs slow. sigh |

Also about the upgrades, do I need to go back to the authorized centers to make changes in the future? Thanks. |

If you don't play games at all, the MacBook Air is actually not bad.......so long as you don't need any Windows only softwares like most CAD softwares.

Sometimes Finder will hang. Only way is to Force Quit and wait few seconds. Same problem on Windows where Explorer.exe will crash or hang.
