QUOTE(3antz @ Apr 29 2016, 11:06 AM) tumpang thread ... I'm considering to get one as well. Which Mac is best for developing apps, photoshop and stuff, no gaming and movies every now and then. Had multiple laptops + windows, upgraded to 16gb ram still runs slow. sigh What kind of apps? Web apps? Mobile apps? But in general, MBP 13" is good enough. with min 256gb disk space. 15" would be better since screen is bigger, got dedicated GC

QUOTE(3antz @ Apr 29 2016, 11:13 AM) web and mobile apps. plan to learn up swift soon. MBP is quite expensive, would MBP 13" do the job? Also about the upgrades, do I need to go back to the authorized centers to make changes in the future? Thanks. Yeah, it is quite expensive. But it can last for years, with careful maintenance. MBA can do the job too. Only heard it from other people, but haven't really know it, so I can't really comment too much on it. AFAIK, you can't upgrade the hardware on all new models. Maybe you can, but it's not that simple. So if you want to buy one, try and get the best spec you can afford. Usually 8gb(or better 16gb) RAM with 256 SSD is good enough.

QUOTE(PPZ @ Apr 29 2016, 02:47 PM) What consider under utilize macbook? If surfing, watching movie and do some office work will consider utilize them? That's considered as under utilised macbook for me. If you're doing any software development or designing, then it's good to buy mac. otherwise it's cheaper and better to buy non-Apple laptop
