I paid via Giro 3 days ago.
Outstanding balance on the website doesn't reduce. Called up CS, she confirmed payment is received.
She also told me that the payment will only reflect in the upcoming statement.

I was like, 'HUH"?!

their 'laoyah' online system doesn't reflect transaction until the next payment cycle is reached, that's what the CS told me.
since it's passed 3 Jan, just wait and see. but if you are still worry, call them up to confirm, like what I did.

The commitment they referred to is the total sum of your CL from all cards + other loan , etc
I have put it requests to reduce CL from other cards that are hardly used for big amount, so that my 'commitment' can be lowered.

better to cancel cards that are no longer required, or put in request to reduce credit limit on those cards that you will not use for big item.
when the total commitment is lowered, your chance of getting new card will be higher.

On the contrary, I thought that is an excellent value added service from AEON. They actually have to allocate resource to do this job out of courtesy.
For all you know, they don't have to remind you at all (just like any bank) and impose hefty interest on you, which is their source of income.

Again, one's medicine can be another's poison. Can't please everyone.

my experience was, paid but outstanding amount did not reduced for weeks. I called in to check and confirmed payment received.
so, if you're concern like i was, call in to make yourself feel more assured.

I remember seeing the 'counter' (x/12) in the statement every month that counts your number of transaction to-date. You can use that to determine which is eligible as 1 count.

You could have picked up the call and tell the caller that you were then busy and have them call you back later, instead of ignoring them. biggrin.gif

The credit department is of different department from the Customer Service, of which they are not there to 'please' the customer. Expecting good customer service from them is a joke.

When you IBG to Aeon thru Citi, you are paying to your own credit card, not to Citi account number.

There is no way you can find Aeon under Citi's payees.
