So, they're having their launch now as I'm doing this thread so everyone are updated at the soonest!

FREE UPGRADE
They will be upgrading the follows Maxis ONE plan users only.
PERMANENTLY & FREE;
RM98: 1GB to 5GB
RM128: 3GB to 10GB
RM158: 5GB to 15GB
RM188: 7GB to 20GB

There will not be any funny terms like 10 + 6 + 4, Peak/Off Peak or Weekend/Weekday or WiFi
I thought this was funny laugh.gif

And, every ONEplan user should be receiving SMSes like the one in attachment : )

DATA POOL
Secondly, they're introducing Data Pool.
A pool of Internet Data that multiple users can use and share the data.
For example, 40gb for 5lines to share so there shouldn't be wastage(supposedly).

iValue USERS
Maxis also mentioned that they're planning to convert iValue Plan users to ONE Plan so they can enjoy more!
They're in the midst of discussing to see if they are able to cater to the waiver of contract.
So, let's wait and see.

DATA ROAMING
So far, they have already covered all SEA except Vietnam.
And I heard something like free extra 1GB (Will update once confirmed)

My thoughts on this:
It may be slightly more expensive than other telcos, yes. You must also put into consideration of their network coverage, quality and stability.
For this price and those benefits? It's pretty worth it. I'm actually surprised they are giving so much data now.
Of course, also because of the public reaction towards their recent issue (YAY to us) laugh.gif

Those that received bad service like special treatment, understandable.
I did not get those so choose which you think is best ya! thumbup.gif

That's all.
Share you thoughts on what you think of this! thumbup.gif

More info on Maxis website.

Expensive, yes. But no one can fight Maxis network stability.

I'm currently enjoying DiGi RM80 for 10GB.
Still thinking hahahha laugh.gif

Supplementary line profit mainly this new announcement. The new OnePlan 98 still stuck at 5GB. No changes in their data addon passes no use also.

Yup, my quota is always 7gb. I requested for extra complimentary 1gb which Maxis obliged for being a high payment customer. Also received extra 3gb for one off data upgrade few weeks ago. Total, i have 7+1+3+20=31gb for the month of may! Can anyone resists? No! Maxis is still the leader in telco providers. Those who ported out recently, are you guys crying in your sleep now?

Ya, my wife is on iValue 1 as well and still on contract. Waiting to see if maxis will move her automatically or if we'll need to go and shout and scream at their centre first.

*
Nice, is it rm188/mth? You didn't port out so it's not rm88.

I'm crying so much now in sleep because i port out from maxis. Now with digi, rm120/mth only get 44gb.

Just to clarify.

Under the new Maxis One Plan 98, 5 GB, RM98 / month, is that what I will be paying monthly if I have another supplementary line with me (principal line)?

Or RM98 + RM48 = RM146 ???

Yes, MOP 98 with 5GB can have additional one more sub line, but you will get additional 5GB if u pay 48 for one sub line, which mean total is 10GB for 146RM

The exodus of Maxis subscribers who ported out is probably the reason why you're getting what you got today. So a gesture of gratitude would be appreciated compared to mockery, no? Me just a small fry still stuck on iValue50.

Sifus, I am on RM158 plan with device 24mths contract. Now with the new plan, I don't need so much data. Am I allowed to downgrade to RM98 plan?

I am thinking, if cannot downgrade, I rather terminate the contract and pay the RM100 penalty. Any thoughts?

Btw, how did you all get the RM158 rebate RM90?

The only good thing that Maxis can offer and not other telcos is the multi-sim for tablets. I have a multi-sim where I pay extra RM15 and I can now utilise the same data from my ONE plan.

So meaning if take MOP 98 + supp line RM48

Total RM146 for 10gb data . Meaning each line is RM 73 only?

The supp line i can get my friend to take up also right?

So meaning to say

MOP 98 + 1 supp = RM73 per line
MOP 128 + 2supp = RM74 per line
MOP 158 + 3supp = RM75 per line
MOP 188 + 4 supp = RM 76 per line

I think this is genius from Maxis!

They plan is .....Is Better to lose One Tree than the Whole Forest.

Yes is a clever plan but also a risky too. Price look slight cheaper but compare to $$ to data value...is still consider expensive...

Digi RM 80 x 1 = RM 80 / 10 GB vs MOS 98 / 5GB

Digi RM 80 x 2 = RM 160/ 20 GB vs MOS128 128+48 =176 / 15 GB

Digi RM 80 x 3 = RM 240 / 30 GB vs MOS 158+48+48 = 254 / 25 GB

But now the difference of price packages compared to others are smaller now (compare previously) and Maxshit is bagging on their network quality & this is their only advantage....which i think most people here agreed.

Good move maxis, though their price is still more expensive but seriously guys I think you need to know how to weigh the pro and cons properly. No point paying cheap but get lousy service coverage and quality. My company force everyone on a celcom corporate line and the amount of complaints I hear from the colleague due to the line stability is horrible. Even the 4G is unstable. I am happy with the extra data i got from Maxis now because their 4G is so much faster and stable as compare to the Unifi Shit i am using at home sometimes.

hi,
lets say my wife is using maxis oneplan 128 (business plan and currenly under contract) which gives 10GB monthly data. my line currently with celcom (normal blue first plan), can i move my number from celcom to my wife business one plan as share line number (5GB for RM48) per month? Do i tie to contract if i make move as share line on my wife business plan? If i want to move to other telco (after i'm with my wife business plan as share line), my same number still can be move to other telco (without change new number).

does sub line gets spotify premium too?

Totally agree. Maxis more stable compare to other crappy telcos. Thats why i said one can shop in jaya grocers or speedmart88/giant depending on your affordability. However, the goods you buy makes a buge difference

I hope Maxis will seriously consider to make an upgrade for iValue and Surfmore users. Kinda happy seeing that Maxis took their action to improve their service but it's still unfair for those iValue and Surfmore users.

Get it clear, supp line means it's owned by the principal. So whatever principal is, it is still is.
U can move n be supp for ur wife, ur wife contract is still the contract. Contract is on principal, not supp.
Supp no Spotify, only principal has
U can use the ID register with the principal to sign in on supp, but 1 only can play at a time
N supp no 15gb for streaming

Maxis nvr go for price war with their competitiors. This is because they know that they hv the best coverage and speed. Digi is damn slow la. Some people are ok with slow speed. So then u may take Digi.

Some people want fast, then its definately Maxis.

Its like Mercedes. U dont see Mercedes lowering their price to compete with Honda or Toyota. Cuz they know they hv a good product. No point compete on price cuz the if compete on price then it will nvr end. U want to lower the price until how low? RM5 for 5 GB?

Umobile is way faster than celcom . Speed is really good. I am really surprised with the speed. Majority of hotspots have good coverage. No issues . If you are around kl, subang , pj then no issues.

For umobile there are certain places where memang no line. But no big issue unless you are at the same plc for the whole day.

Celcom line really teruk. They might hv good coverage but the line/signal quality sucks. Always always 1-2 bars only. And alot places slow speed.

Am beginning to wonder how many of those who jumped ship when this whole fiasco started are now beginning to come back smile.gif

Could have easily happened to me too if not for my existing contract with maxis and a hefty RM900 it would cost me to terminate the contract.

I was never tied with any contracts, so now that I've jumped off and back, I'm still saving a whole lot of $ compared to my previous plan cool2.gif

And just now that cashier asked me why I left in the first place.. since now that I'm going for a new plan, I'll lose some benefits. I told her, I never had any benefits in the first place. Unlimited data got cut down to 10gb.. she's also using the same plan, so she agrees.

Suggestion is to walk in and settle over counter...
for numbers not "owned" by you and from other telco
certainly the "owner" has to be there for the port request (could be your parents themselves, the principal)
and you yourself (the principal) be there to sign up for new supp
should be doable, hassle maybe...

Ask ur family member to convert to celcom postpaid 1st. Then change ownership to ur name . then only mnp to Maxis . after that change to MOS

I see, is that the simplest way to mnp from different telco with prepaid? Thanks for the explanation.

For this MaxisOne Share, does it requires principal line to be the MaxisOne plan holder in order to enjoy the MaxisOne Share for its supplementary line? Or it can be vice versa.

*
True, i'm paying more than rm200+ with data topup every month before February. Save rm120+/mth since porting on feb 2016 to celcom and digi. My data usage when i'm with celcom and digi is about 8 - 9gb/mth.

I think you need principal line first and after that add mos as your sup line.

Come2. The highest i can get for other telco in my house is around 3 - 5 Mbps. With Maxis, easily 59 to 69Mbps full speed stable 4g network.

ok thanks guys... seems I was on ivalue plan instead of maxis one plan, so no auto upgrade. Requested them to upgrade to new maxis one plan. Was upgraded within 2 hours and able to see it in the maxis app already.

Heads up for anyone trying maxis call center, had a hard time trying for someone to pickup @ 123. In the end used the online chat to get it done in 5 minutes.

There is a minimum 30 days period before you can port out from DiGi. Mine got rejected. Celcom allow?

I just cancel my Astro last month. Last few days receive a call from Astro retention dept .... They said so. Offer me a monthly rm21.20 plan including gst for almost full package.. Almost except Astro best , Astro first I think.... But monthly just rm21.30 comes with dinastry, on demand, sports and so on....

They said this is during promo period. My existing plan since I already cancel so I don need to pay anymore but just monthly 21.2 only for next 4 months. After August I can choose to cancel or keep the account but drop back to my default old plan....

Since is just so cheap...I ok with the offer. Hope next month my bill will not bill shock will do.

ported out to DiGi from Maxis almost 1 week plus, but the line coverage within the area that i'm mostly in that area are really unsatisfied.
With this new maxis plan, thinking to port in back to Maxis and get the supplimentary line for my wife.
Monthly should be RM98 + RM48 + 6% GST right?

Exactly. People have to realize that Maxis is expensive but its worth the coverage and network stability.

For me, DiGi is cheap and not as stable as Maxis but also not THAT bad.

suffer 1 years from maxis congested line. stability and quality my ass. Contact Maxis CS, temporary network problem their mom, 1 year is temporary huh? I report it to the CS because years before it smooth and no problem. Using maxis since 2008. and this "quality and stability" has been shitty.

This is the exact meaning of YMMV. I ported from Maxis to Celcom, jumped back after 1 month cos "no signal" in house and office (in PJ!) as well as many places showing 4G but can't connect. Jumped again recently because my Surfmore 50 reverted to 2GB for rm50, so Digi Smart75 was more worth.
But I find Digi pretty good wherever I go (again YMMV), even on a recent trip to JB, coverage on the NSE was good, as good as I remember Maxis to be. And LTE speeds are fast most places. So works for me.

Demn, maxis line in my workplace is full 3g bar with unstable intenet connection. Weird before i port out, maxis is the best here in jerteh. Digi and celcom is the best in my workplace and maxis is the best in my home.

They're truely good. I'm having problem with them only in my house. Everywhere else, they're better than maxis. Thank God i have digi broadband for my usage at my workplace. I don't know what happen to maxis in those 3 month i left them. The 3g connection seems unstable.

True. Really depends on which area you are mostly around at.
But overall, Maxis has like 70% or 80% network stability.

Only for some app like iflix. You'll use the vod data if you use iflix.

Anyone have idea how the Maxshit data pool works?

I just change my plan to MOS 98 and 1 share line. Phone show 5GB both and apps show 10GB.

But there is a note stated for share line Limit Usage 3GB? Why? Not 5GB? What happen to the 2 GB?

Can the Principal use the Share line data when principal data plan finish?

** Did ask the CS, said can't share or use between lines?? Funny...but they highlight is a datapool sharing?
** Did ask Livechat they say can share...but there is limit of usage for share line? - 3GB

Use the maxis app and change to no limit so both can share full data.

this VOD 5gb quota is very strange. According to FAQ, its for Viu, Eros Now, Hopster and iflix. I dont use any of these but i check in my maxisapp its already at 4.8gb today and ive used around 155mb (3%) of the quota.

I always suspect that telco always simply calculate your quota usage since we have no way of checking it anyway.

Example u use 200mb download and 100mb upload, they will say u use 300mb and since we cant check it anyway, they will say u use 500mb maybe? Im not really sure if theres any real way to check this but this VOD quota that i never use saying i have used it for 155mb makes me extra suspicious about telco cheating customers.

Any thoughts?

I received the SMS too.

I don't think there's any cons because:
-save RM2
-extra 3gb data
-contract period still remain the same as iValue contract.
-unlimited call & sms to all network compare to current iValue 1 plan 333mins(all telco), 1000mins(maxis), sms(maxis)

I called just now to upgrade it, waited 10 mins for the CS to pick up and CS explained everything and I decided to change it. Besides that, I do have a sup line
Surfmore 75 with 5GB data and I subscribe it to the data pool and get extra unlimited call & sms at lower price.

There's no contract to the sup line and CS did mentioned that there will be some pro rate due to the billing cycle. Need to wait for the bill then only can give the final comment.

The plan is good if hv  multiple sub line
The plan is pull more customer with sub line package
Under 128 package with 2 sub line , the price is equal to other telco but offer wider and better coverage
*
if MOP98 + MOS48 = RM146 + GST = RM154.76
paying for one person is RM154.76/2 = RM 77.40

consider main will get VOD data 5GB everymonth forever ( maybe they will add youtube in their VOD list)...it is like main will have 10GB to 15GB. supplement line will get from 500MB to 10GB of usage of data pool.

I'm consider it reasonable if u got supplement line attach. if single use not cheap.

If you don't travel oversea then you are ok. MOP plans got auto roaming charges of RM38 per day.
Ivalue plan don't have that RM38 auto roaming charges (according to Maxis shop counter).

I remember last time when iValue plan was still new back on iPhone 4.. they kinda charge you right away if you use data more than 1gb.. in the end the bill end up RM500+ instead of the normal RM100. Well they kinda gave me a rebate.. So the first time they let it go and I only have to pay RM100. Now they kinda throttle the speed after you finished ur quota.. Who knows ig they charge right after.. Well it's the after effect of having so much people being angry to them, I'm just hearing things, so it's better just to ask around before I opt in on the upgrade.

Before the "event", it used to say that only MOP 158/188 can have SurfMore30...(other than the Surfmore50/75)
now read from page seems no longer such restriction...apparently any principal can have SurfMore30 as supp now...

I remember I sign up SurfMore30 under MaxisONE 128 last year, that time don't have the restriction yet but for now better confirm with Maxis Center then
I believe the SurfMore50 sub plan should be open to all principal subscribers, hopefully

I changed my current Maxis One plan (postpaid RM128) to RM98.
With my supp line upgraded to 5GB data, unlimited calls and sms, previously from the Surfmore plan.

So, 98+48 monthly for us. 10GB data, shared.

I received the SMS to upgrade from iValue 1 to MOP98. As suggested by ^Ware^Wolf earlier to communicate with Maxis via twitter, I did the same and I have switched to MOP98 with 5 Gb data. According to the person I chatted with, my current contract is untouched, i.e. I will still have to honour the original duration. Everything else stays the same, including autodebit details.

Will report back if I face any problems. Thanks for the tip again, mr Ware Wolf.

Yes, no penalty but previous contract duration remains the same. We did it over maxis live chat. Done in a matter of minutes, in fact got the SMS in less than an hour.

And ask to wait for 3 working days and will receive sms confirmation once the plan changed. Now, still waiting for the sms and for the plan to change. Will update and let u guys know, once everything in order.

Awesome.
So they did think of helping other users in different plans as well.

Maxis's Customer Service call me to brief me on the MOP98 plan.

She say
1) Call to landline also unlimited and free
2) Data 5GB can use for roaming, no extra charges
3) MMS is chargable

The 1 & 2 is it for REAL?

I just read the terms and conditions.

Its NOT free. Once you are in oversea, it will automatically suscribe to ONEWORLD -RM10/28/38 pass if u receive any calls, SMS, or uses data. NO WAY OUT.

2 is true IF you pay RM38/day for Maxis One World, bear in mind that Maxis One World might be auto subscribe the monent you call someone or sms someone when you at oversea
From Maxshit website:
MaxisONE plan customers will automatically be on the MaxisONE World pass upon any usage (receive call, make call, send SMS or use data) in mentioned ASEAN countries.
Maxis they set a trap for all Maxis One Plan user, by reading the FAQ, it is auto subscribe when you send one sms... which usually cost 50cents or RM1... but you pay RM38, and maybe you dont realise and come back home country... you confirm will #$%^&@*#()@#@ maxshit

Meaning that if you pay RM38/day, Maxis give you 500MB data, after that it will consume your 5GB data which is "FREE" at no extra cost... SO you have pay RM38/day
IS RM38/day, if you travel 5 days, and want to consume your 5GB domestic data, you pay RM38 x 5 and get 500MB x 5, after 500MB daily will consume your 5GB domestic data

please correct me if anything got better understanding or i am wrong smile.gif

Switch off your phone when oversea or don't ever call or pick up any call, don't sms and don't switch on data.
Forumer also suggested to use non-smart phone when you oversea.

Or connect to non-preferred network when oversea. But need to confirm if you can actually connect to non-preferred network.

I have kept my line open when I was in Japan in March, but was not charged for roaming because I switched roaming off on my phone. I do received some marketing calls too but was not change any RM38 by Maxis. So I guess you just need to switched of roaming on your smart phone.

If technology always works the way it's supposed to then it will be a peaceful world. Alas, the reality is contradictory. Maxis' system is not infallible, and we all had heard stories of people being charged roaming fee when they weren't supposed to. There are people who worked in Singapore who switch on their phones with data roaming off just so they can know if banks called them. Not necessarily answering these calls, but only knowing who called them through the missed calls. Yet these people became victims of unjust charges, and to make things worse they had to jump through hoops to revert these charges. Is that fair? Is this the right way to approach customers' problem?

The One World plan shouldn't be defaulted to auto-subscribed. It should be an option that customers can opt in if and only if they decide to use that service. Not every customers will spend time reading through the plan's online FAQ and T&C just so they can use the service. Fair enough they are supposed to, but how many of us who signed our phone plans have actually read the fine prints before we signed? Telcos shouldn't not activate or opt in a chargeable service without the consciousness approval of customers. That's the crux of the issue here. Because if they do, these charges become debatable and will results in complains and problems.

You are lucky you didn't get charged because somehow your phone didn't trigger any data because you off data roaming. But some android phones had data-trickling even after data roaming option set to OFF.

Who should be blamed? These telcos should be sympathetic to customers feedbacks and rectify them asap and at times please the customers out of goodwill if investigations revealed that the data was activated by accidents. They can do it, yet sometimes the telcos couldn't be bothered.

But how can you possibly receive a phone call if your roaming is not activated ? Overseas roaming needs to be activated by Maxis. It is only possible to switch off data roaming yourself on your phone.

By the way, I understand this OneWORLD roaming pass just started recently. Chances are our MaxisONE Plan lines are still not subscribed to this pass in March. That should explain why you only had to pay-per-use when you were in Japan two months ago.

Surfmore plan is not applicable? iTalk plan should be excluded as well.

Extract from their FAQ.

I am subscribed to Surfmore 50, am I entitled to purchase the MaxisONE World pass?

The MaxisONE World pass is exclusively offered to MaxisONE plan subscribers. To enjoy MaxisONE World pass in the 8 countries, we recommend that you switch to MaxisONE plan before you travel

Hi Maxis,
I'm on MOP98. For the free Spotify Premium, after free 30 days TRIAL, i will get 15GB data for Spotify free. But that does not include Spotify suscription right? Meaning I still have to pay for Spotify 9.99 suscription?

thanks

128 eligible for 2 Share lines...
and currently adding Share line for 48 get additional 5GB also...
so will have total of 15GB (assume just u n dad)
if both of u can't finish that much, suggest better to downgrade to MOP98 (if no contract binding)...then 5+5, cheaper...

Nope the share line won't be contracted since you are not taking any device offer, you just sub under yr dad's line only

Up to 4 supplementary lines for the most expensive MOP. The cheapest MOP can have just 1 supplementary line.

To be precise, the restriction is on OneShare
I think u can have other supp line, from other plan
Just not the one share

Value plus internet give u 25min/25sms/250mb for 30
Surfmore 30 give u 0 call/sms n 1gb

Yea, MOP restrictions are for supplementary lines that shares the DataPool. Can always opt for RM30 for 1GB for supplementary line as well which won't be part of the DataPool.

to clarify about maxis one plan specifically looking for 98 plan. so for 2 lines (1 principle and 1 supp) we need to pay RM 98 + RM 48= RM 146 + GST 6%...so we get 5 GB X 2 data= 10 GB? unlimited call and sms also?

First you need to upgrade your principal line from the current 68 plan to 98 plan. 68 plan is not eligible for supplementary line.

It means there will be a waiver of RM30 X 24 months to your account.

it work as a pool
so you already has 15GB as main line, adding your mum with 5GB = 20GB
you can set restriction to her up to 5GB, or unrestricted (meaning both of u use the 20GB at will)

Hi mrfarhatadib89,

Log in to MyMaxis app, check under show details and set the supplementary line quota to no limit. Now both numbers can share the total data pool.

Hi Maxis, how to manage my quota for MOP98 of 10GB which is 5+5, i just added a supplementary line yesterday. I want to make something like 7+3 or 8+2 instead of 5+5, is it possible?

I couldn't find "show details" in MyMaxis app as you said from previous reply.

Thanks.

Hi Mr Taka,

Are you able to change the share limit through this steps: Login to Maxis App > Swipe to the left (grey arrow) until you reach to your data pool allocation > Tap Show Details > Tap on the supplementary line that you wish to set the limit > Select the amount of data to be share > Tap Save ?

This can be done only on principal online account. Alternately, we have PM you.

Thank you

What about calling 1800 and 1300 numbers? Are these calls free too?

I am also with Celcom now. First Platinum.

Call quality has improved and crystal clear. A lot better than maxis and Digi.

My location is Kuching.

No regret.

For the 1300 number, is it a one time charge of a certain amount or depending on the call duration? What is the call rate for this type of number?

Thank you for your reply.

So, now it is better to call the standard number itself instead of the 1300 number.
Since now all calls are free on Maxis Postpaid.

The supplementary line need to be set as a standalone first by changing its plan to mainline plan (minimum rateplan will be Maxis ONE Plan 98) You will be only charged prorated from the day of change of plan till the number has ported out.

If you want to mnp your supplementary line,
First, change it from postpaid to prepaid (Hotlink). Then only mnp.
MNP from prepaid to other telco, they cannot say that you have outstanding payment not settled, they delay the process.

Hi cucubud,

Please note that the cooling period is 30 days for Hotlink period before you can proceed with the MNP port out.

Hi guys,
I got this issue for my parents using Maxis, they are charged heavily for visiting Singapore frequently under this Maxisone World. Thing is they don't even use internet and just make/receive calls and get charge the full RM38 per trip.

My dad's got over rm200 n my mom's got over rm400 for this. I roughly know they charge u as long as you're overseas but after a few calls and get charged full RM38 is too heavy la imo. At times it's just receiving 3 calls from Malaysia and get charged RM38

Anyway, can anyone recommend counter measure for this?Possible to cancel MaxisOne World? Things to note is that they are not phone Savvy, so they won't know how to switch to diff SG operators and stuff when they travel.

Otherwise, any other local operators that are not so harsh in terms of roaming in SG? If u give a rather fixed price per call it's still acceptable rather than charging full RM38 after making/receiving a few calls?

Anyone face similar issue and found a solution? How can I stop this nonsense? Pls help!

Hi Maxis

Are you going to offer a new plan similar to Digi Infinite 150 soon?
Current my MAXIS plan used to be the best with unlimited 1 to 7 am data (webe can be ignored due to tethering charges). But now with this new plan offered by Digi I am really tempted. I have been a Maxis user since 2001 and do not want to port out yet. I am afraid that once I port out then Maxis suddenly comes up with unlimited data. So could you please tell me if there are any "unlimited data plans" in the near future?

Looks like they scrapped the RM68 plan which was the best cheapest one. The RM98 plan does not even compare to Celcom & Digi 80 (what more Digi Infinite 80).

Of course it will. The rm1 offer is only for those service subscription not data usage.

Find it not really worth it as it is tied to 1 year contract and if terminate early got a fixed rm300 charges.
Unless u are sure that you are sticking to maxis for sure, and not going to change telco even if there is super good deal from any telco. Then maybe this is worth it.

Actually I find that their 4g 8gb weekend data and daily 1gb for 1 hr (30gb) is very attractive that one can sign the plan as low as rm30 per mth and use all the data comes with it. And it is more than sufficient if one does not call much.

The extra data such as 10gb basic internet for the speed of 64kbps is totally crap. At least maxis gave something that is fast in speed and it is really usable.

Celcom has 1 feature up, which is if you add another rm10, you get to combine the weekday data and weekend data to become all-day
which means instead of 15 weekday, 15 weekend, u get 30 24/7 by just top up 10
worthy for those data usage trend consistent for day-in-day-out regardless weekday/end
if maxis has 1...i may consider that...

it is good that Celcom has it but I would think that it is even worth it to add rm10 more to upgrade to first gold plus that comes with unlimited SMS. and get even more data then not even need to convert. Of course for those who subscribes to first gold earlier is even better becos they get unlimited SMS for the same price at rm80 comparing to now.

yup, it is actually ok to have one telco in bolehland to do this way. At least users have a choice to choose over quality than price.

For telco that offers cheaper plans, it also indirectly means more users who value price will choose it and it will eventually cause network congestion. But instead, paying a bit more to be in a network that most ppl do not choose due to price is actually a good thing because one can enjoy a more dedicated and better service due to this.

Yes. Agreed but they simply won't give much higher than other Telco data.

They want to limit so that it will not caused congestion to their network.

Put it this way, for the free phone (mid range phone?)for as long as you are with Maxis you will be paying extra RM50/mth. Do you have need for the extra data and free calls. If yes go for IT but beware of the T&C contract. Once you give up your Maxis Go plan I don't think you can revert to your old plan. That's my view.

As a current maxis customer, I am actually happy to see this, because it means the no of users in network will be lesser to compete for the bandwidth, less congestion and faster speed, it is actually a good things, comparing to a telco that is cheaper in price but full of subscribers but speed suffer. Not to mention maxis is no 1 in terms of speed, original the maxis users are enjoying good speed all the time. Now with lesser subscribers, it should be even better. So it is actually a good news. thumbsup.gif biggrin.gif

Maxis, Celcom and Digi really has their own problems but overall still ok reliable enough. Anyway, since I got my iPhone I am gonna try umobile to fit on my android. Reason so is iPhone tethering somehow drains more energy than I would like as compared to my Android phone. Doesn't make sense for me to have my secondary phone tethering onto my iPhone for my data needs.

1st im Hotlink prepaid user,
then change to Maxis postpaid - Surfmore 50
for so many years,
then notice Celcom new plan First Basic 38,
shift to them July 2015
but this month shift back to Maxis One 98.

Still like Maxis the best,
Celcom's coverage really too poor,
even my house area could be no phone line (not even talk about slow running of data)

Same Telco as maxis for both postpaid and prepaid, why would there be differences in terms of coverage?

Requested to port in on Monday through telephone. They promised this process can be done up to 3 business days.

Argument and confusion happened on Wednesday and frustrated that they ask me to go Maxis center to do thumb print as they cannot find my account number doh.gif
I am a new customer so how the hell I have account number?

Yesterday a lady called me to ignore the Maxis Center stuff and I will receive SMS from telco to reply port out. This has gone past 24 hours and I still have nothing. I thought porting should be easy breezy but not in my case doh.gif

I guess I have to give up in porting in. Kudos to Maxis rclxms.gif

porting is not really easy, u need to deal with two telcos for such request. And a lot of time it could be yr own telco did not forward the request to the new port in telco u requested.

Like this case, likely that it is stacked at ur own current telco.

Hi maxis

I read in the website for RM98 package, you can buy a galaxy J3.

But when I went to Curve maxis, the brochure they gave only for the zte phone.
And for new port, you have to pay 4 months in advance if u want to take the phone. Is this true?

So if I port to Maxis, deposit RM98 will deduct from next bill, then if I take the phone another 4 months of advance deposit, meaning for the 1st 5 months I will only have to pay for GST?

Hi epsonstylux,

For port in customers, your first bill will deduct from your rateplan advanced payment and will follow by your 4 months device advanced payment. However, the charges would be depending on your usages (SMS, Calls or Value Added Services) and added 6% GST.

seriously I do not see a reason to use the postpaid now.

Maxis One 98
1) 10gb 4G weekend data
2) Unlimited Calls and SMSes
3) 10gb all-day data

Hotlink RED pass RM60
1) 8gb 4G weekend data
2) Unlimited Calls
3) 8gb all-day data
4) total 30gb of hourly data daily

Agreed. The new Hotlink internet pass makes their MaxisOne Plan super uncompetitive. Is there any plan to revamp your MaxisOne Plan in the near future Maxis ? Otherwise it actually makes sense for almost everyone currently subscribing to MaxisOne Plan 98 to change to Hotlink and subscribe to this internet pass that only cost RM60/month. Not only so, the new RM60/month Hotlink internet pass also just makes the MaxisOne Plan 68 Sabah/Sarawak obsolete.

That's not port in or port out. That's called changing your Maxis postpaid service to prepaid service (Hotlink) and the procedure is so much easier. You don't need to wait for any port out confirmation SMS or to reply any SMS. And to change from postpaid service to prepaid service and vice-versa within Maxis takes very little time. On a working day, this can be done in under 1 hour. Sometimes it takes longer depending on how efficient the particular Maxis Centre is. On a weekend, sometimes it takes around 4 hours. You may change from Maxis postpaid to Hotlink anytime as long as your number isn't tied to any contract.

I feel only MOP98 and MOP128 is worth it, the higher plans seem to be too expensive for that amount of data. I believe previously each MOP plan you upgrade to gets you 2x more data.

my monthly billing is on middle of the month, before upgrade 10GB, the data was around <10GB.

But what I can see here is refresh to be 60GB rclxms.gif

Guess next year telco will upgrade more data for postpaid plan?

Now lowest package offer 30GB.
Later in 2020, Maxis offer 50GB for RM98/month... brows.gif rclxm9.gif

Hi

As indicated in our website, we have revamp all our MaxisONE plans. It will refresh with a brand new data pool on your bill cycle date. Should you have sharelines, you will have an additional 5GB (from each shareline) into the data pool.

Thank you

Hi Maxis Rep,

Referring my case below, am I eligible to downgrade my MaxisONE Plan?

Day 1 - March 2016
Signed up MaxisONE 128 with Zerolution (24 months @ RM93/month)
Together with a supplementary line at RM48/month

Day 2 - April 2016
Terminated supplementary line RM48
Downgraded from MaxisONE 128 to MaxisONE 98

Day 3 - October 2017
Upgraded from MaxisONE 98 to MaxisONE 158

NOW - December 2017
Zerolution Contract Status (21/24)
Proposed to downgrade from MaxisONE 158 to MaxisONE 128

Can I downgrade from MaxisONE 158 to MaxisONE 128 since my day 1 contract is MaxisONE 128?

You will need to wait after next billing cycle to renew your 15GB quota, if u choose to buy one time pass, it is bloody expensive:

Time based:

1 Day 1GB RM8
1 Day 500MB RM5

One time:
1GB RM30
500MB RM20
200MB RM10

Time based is valid for that one day only, one time is valid until your next billing cycle.

yeah...i saw that...the addon cost is too expensive (if i compare digi, cheaper).

so, if i want go and on maxis, i have no flexibility of going beyond 15gb (for example). So 30gb might be good. But if 30gb finish, hehe....good luck.

MaxisONE Share is Share Line under 1 account. Add another 1 line for RM48/month & get 5GB weekday + 5GB 4G weekend, Unlimited Call & SMS.

Hi GamaX320 and Anime in HD,

Please be informed that MaxisONE Plan and MaxisONE Share has no difference as the only difference is data sharing capabilities. MaxisONE Plan is unable to share data whereas MaxisONE Share can share their data via datapool.

Thank you

Hello, would like to check out more about the Maxis One Plan, I saw that the RM128 plan is 40GB all day data, which means each day is 40GB limit? How about the data for the 2 share lines?

Also if I want to get 2 Maxis Shareline, approximately how much would my monthly bill be?

128 originally 15GB all-day + 15GB weekend
after Maxis given +10, its merged and now become 15+15+10 = 40 all-days, means the 40GB quota is available from start to end of monthly bill cycle, no weekday or weekend, or 3G/4G

MaxisOne Share when you subscribe each line (RM48), you get 5GB all-day and 5GB weekend
if u get 2, means 48+48, each got 5+5
the 5 all-days is part of the pool with 40 (scalable and you can open up your 40 to share with them, in a total quota 50GB)
the 5GB weekend 4G for the share line, is only available to them during weekend

total bill will be 128+48+48+xx(whatever you may spend extra) = yy*1.06 (GST) = zz
expect something close to 240

Nah. It's okay. Too lazy to follow your normal procedure to 'rectify' things. If you would like to help, please improve Maxis's connection within Setia City Mall itself. 7/10 outgoing calls will fail whenever I am there.
