AMD Turion 64 X2 is much faster.. From my knowledge GeForce GO 7300 is much better compare to Intel GPU. Pls don't choose intel GPU.. u will regret!

do you have any article to proof your saying since it's just your 2 cents? not doubting you but just need some concrete answer... i heard from some one that Intel is better and faster then AMD.. that y im confused, traditionally AMD is faster, but i've been off the market for sometimes now and not sure how it's like now.. that y need some expert out there to give some comment.. how about heat wise? AMD should be hell lot hotter right?

Yes, it worth to buy cos market price RM3599 but u need to sign up streamyx for 2 years at least.

My brand new presario v3222au comes with only 512mb of ram. I'm thinking of upgrading to 1GB but not sure what is the type and model of ram to buy.

I guess buying from hp is going to be much more expensive but if i upgrade myself will i void the warranty?

Since AMD introduced Turion 64 X2 (Pure Dual Core) + Mobile Technology, it was eleminated overheated issue. As i experiences it now. Don't expect it cool like 'ICE' ... CPU used to be hot... not to be frozen!

One thing that AMD can't matched Intel is a Battery Power Consumptions which is i feel that AMD sucking it faster compare to Intel. At least V3000 (AMD) can use about 2-3 hours on batt power supply anyway and it was acceptable still.

Performance wise... AMD is yummy! Lazy to type o..le..dy..

Hope other sifu can add in or comment on this..

basically Intel GPU suckkked at it!!! Past Present and FUTURE too!!!!
they have D3D and OpenGL but the level Intel GPU support is relatively low and the tweak they offer is limited!!!! and GAMES CANT SUPPORT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

although performance is abit on the low side (BUDGET$$$)

Intel some games cant even allowed you to run!!!!

I just bought Compaq V3218 yesterday
as instructed by person who sell that laptop, from lowyat
he asked me to install driver from HP.com

i think i installed all related files given inside V3218TU page Drivers & Softwares...
but till this morning, i can't hear the sound...
mean, still not installed d sound...
i confirmed i already download and install AUDIO Driver given tru that website

Please HELP
i need da softwares to enable the SOUND

Yeah...! You're absolutely right! I used to play NFS carbon with NVIDIA 6150.. The result is great no hang at all.. Loading time also fast enough.. Details graphis so smooth.. Like i said before V3... AMD+NVIDIA Spec is yummy... Even it's the best spec at best price item in cheap lappy category on market currently.

DELL AMD Spec also not bad for your info but i just doubt on ATI 1150 performances. Still more trust NVIDIA capabilities, cause i was tested NVIDIA already and appreciated!

Seems you have the problem exactly same wit me.... this is what I do!!

makesure the most important the LAN and modem is usable!!!!

when U detect sound driver select Search from Internet..... Microsoft XP will search the net and install.... I did that and all my stuff are now working perfectly!!!

Bro, maybe U should update your BIOS driver as well (can obtain from the link at page 1 of this thread), I had the same problem too, then after updating the BIOS driver (but first you must make sure you have installed all the drivers on page 1) it will autodetect the soundcard.
