QUOTE(tbheng @ May 2 2017, 07:11 PM)
For HLB, yes only allow refund back to the source. Cant even able to refund to hlb casa.
I applied mbb bt to pay my hlb bt acct which starts with 8xxx. I tried submit by form via email has no issue. But if submit online via m2u, system said invalid cc #. So I tried transfer to wise cc instead, thinking can call hlb to transfer overpayment in wise cc to hlb bt acct. End up hlb said cannot transfer to bt acct, nor hlb casa nor mbb casa, only can refund back to my mbb amex. I lazy to argue. After refunded back to amex, I refund to mbb casa, no issue, just extra step.
*
Noted on that HLB part.

I believe HLB is getting more strict already.

QUOTE(bluemeanie85 @ May 2 2017, 07:40 PM)
I used UOB quite a few times already to refund the monies to MBB (charges RM0.11 for IBG). However on my most recent attempt they politely told me not to repeat this in the future.
*
Politely means still doable tongue.gif

Can UOB cash out to CASA? I dun think you have an account with them which is why you opt to refund the balance to MBB to cash out instead?

trying out M2U online for numerous times and it is always 'Service Unavailable'... day and night and working hour I tried, all time 'Service Unavailable'... Guess I have to walk-in then...  doh.gif

Email is a good option.

3 days can settle. And no 3% upfront.

QUOTE(LostAndFound @ May 8 2017, 04:10 PM)
Is it possible to BT to supp card not under my name, but supp under me?
*
IIRC, it's primary to primary for MBB's case.

QUOTE(zstan @ May 8 2017, 04:37 PM)
https://ringgitplus.com/en/balance-transfer...-Programme.html
"For the 12-month plan, you'll enjoy 0% interest on the first 6 months, and a low 0.30% per month for the final 6 months.

Similarly, for the 24-month plan, the 0% interest is applicable for the first 12 months, with 0.375% interest per month charged for the next 12 months."

Hi can i ask, it states that the for 2 half of the period there will be interest being charged. My question is will the interest be charged on my remaining unpaid amount, or the original total sum?

E.g i paid 5k for 1st year, left 2.5 k for 2nd year. interest on 5k or 2.5k? tqtq
*
BT 12k for example.

6 month no interest. Balance left 6k

6k * 0.3% + ( Your usage for the month *0.3%) = Your answer.

I assume there's no separate BT account to be created, thus your usage would be slapped with interest like HSBC's BT.

My BT application has been rejected, SMS received just now, submitted on last Friday.

Called to CS immaterially for checking, because the form that I submitted have no signature  doh.gif  doh.gif

CS then advice to re-submit by M2U... Ya, is fast and easy, just key in everything.

Just would like to confirm, I received email regarding the BT is approved with Ref number, is this meant "Approved " or ??
*
They will send another SMS to confirmed that the BT is approved.

12k outstanding.

BT 12k to MBB for 12 months 0%

Every month pay 1k.

BT 1k for 6 months 0% (HLB/PBB/Aeon)

End up also pay less than the BSN.

and for this to happened, need to own many  credit card from various bank right? at moment I only got CIMB and Maybank.
I got no account with other bank, will I still be able to apply credit card with them?
*
Yeap, have to be holding many many many credit cards laugh.gif

It gets tiring when you are doing multiple BT when the sum are big.

QUOTE(zstan @ May 9 2017, 10:22 AM)
No i am splitting a big amount into monthly repayments of RM1000 and split the RM1000 into further installments.. I rather have my money in FD.. interest rates earned there is still higher than the cover charge imposed.
*
Betol. Nothing wrong with doing that at all....

QUOTE(sj0217 @ May 9 2017, 10:42 AM)
Received the email regarding my BT application, it was still rejected sad.gif... not sure what is the reason again as my credit limit is sufficient to do the balance transfer.

Due to my due date is soon, therefore, I tried for the HL 0% interested for 6 months. Just make a called and provided all the detail, let's the result then
*
Credit limit =/= BT limit.

Sometimes you only can go up to 80% of your CL.

Try to contact MBB and ask why it is rejected?

Sorry, I meant BT limit

I have been asked two times to be confirmed whether is suficient fund or not and answer from card center and CS are same, confirmed sufficient

Will try to call and see then
*
I faced this scenario once.

My Islamic limit was about 10k. I had a BT from last time yet to clear, around 1k+

When I called the CS, they told me I can BT up to 9,000 ringgit.

As expected, when I put 9,000, It was rejected.

Lowered it to 7,500 and was approved.

Time to use FB and scold them. Their staff from HQ more "efficient".

Not high, average only. I'm looking for card that got no annual fee, and if possible got cash back.
Hunting for some at moment.
*
Some cards got AF but easily waived. Sometimes have to get the hassle just to enjoy some perks lor.

Most of the time, I will pay the AF if I am heavily utilizing the card.

An example would be Citibank. Their dining promotions in hotels are unparalleled to cards except for Maybank 2 Premier / Infinite level cards.

Paying 100+ is acceptable since I would've gotten at least few thousand in price reduction for the final price of the meal.

Once they remove those perks, I will then consider not to bother with the AF anymore tongue.gif

This is a BT thread anyways.

For cards with 0 AF and 0% BT -> PBB is the way to go.

I have 2 credit card which total around rm8000. I want to restructure my credit card and apply several balance transfer programme under different bank, all got rejected. I don't know what to do anymore. Both credit card is almost limit, and i only pay minimum payment every month. I still use the card for petrol though, and nothing else. Anybody can advise me anything?
*
What's your salary?

If you're making below 36k, you only can hold 2 cards.

And once you start missing payment, it's kinda hard to get another facility unless your salary is high.

It was previously reported that citibank allows the transfer of overpaid balance. And subsequently I did that. Nicely done by citibank. This was in january.

Not sure about other banks as I lost tracked of the posts here, do search back. Hlb do not allow transferring out.
*
Citibank allows yes.

I done it before for Citibank.

Above 10k but no questions asked laugh.gif

Maybank allows below 10k
UOB allows as well.

Public Bank and HLB can't refund d.

The last reply here indicated that PBB is rather reluctant to refund already.

We shall wait for more replies before finding out.

Nobody tried for RHB yet? laugh.gif

I tried RHB before and they rejected it after a few working days.
I called to appeal and they still rejected it, again after a few working days.
At last I sent a complaint email to BNM and CC RHB.
Finally got my money but whole process took 1 month.
So, my advice is don't try as not worth the hassle.
*
Can refund back to the originating source of BT?

RHB is a little lousy alright. I accepted that fact quite a while ago laugh.gif

You may do so, yes.

Hi sifus. I just submit my hsbc credit card application at sunway pyramid booth. Interested on their 0% interest BT. Anything that i should know. Btw the guy said hve to wait up to 3 weeks for the status
*
Don't use the card during BT.

You'll get slapped with Finance Charges if you do so.

Other than that, I believe there are no issues.

I think if you'd do above 1k for most banks, it's acceptable.
