Within this week.. I dont think enough time to apply for different card even if can extend to another week.

Those are the only cards im holding now so i guess it would be either one for them. Points/cashback not so important.
Although i do have BigPay card.
*
too tight for new application.

no offer for your current cards anyway.

Refund of Overpayment on Maybank Card Account [ Maybank ]
24 MAY 2019

Dear Valued Cardmembers,

Effective 19 June 2019, we will no longer process requests for refund of any overpayment on an active Card which appears as a credit in your Maybank Credit or Charge Card account(s). In the event your Card account has an overpayment at any given time, the overpayment would be used to offset any subsequent outstanding balance of that Card.

For cancellation of Maybank Credit or Charge Card(s) with an overpayment, the Bank shall proceed to transfer the overpaid amount through the following options:

- Transfer to your other valid Maybank Credit or Charge Card account(s);
- Transfer to your Maybank Savings or Current Account(s), excluding Joint Account and MAE Account;
- You may opt to sign-up for a new Maybank Card or Maybank Savings or Current Account and transfer the overpaid amount to the respective account; or
- In the event you do not have any other valid Maybank Credit or Charge Card account(s) or Maybank Savings or Current Account(s), please do advise us on the Savings or Current Account details of another bank that you wish to transfer the overpaid amount to.

Just a quick sharing on my experience with a credit balance on MBB.

I did an AEON BT for the amount shown in my most recent MBB statement. However, RM8k+ had been reversed because of refunds for a dead laptop and hospital deposits. Therefore, there was a "credit" sitting in my MBB statement of about RM2k after deducting current month spending. When I asked for the amount to be transferred to MBB SA, I was told that MBB's "new policy" was to deny such requests unless the cardholder no longer had ANY CCs left with MBB. As long as you hold a CC, you have to either "use up" the credit or transfer to your other MBB CC outstanding balances.

Not sure if anyone had a similar experience. Thankfully my amount was small and can be used up really quickly.
*
yep, new policy by mbb

per transaction.

e.g. buy electrical appliances (e.g. fridge, TV, etc.) from merchant A with amount RM2k, swipe with PBB card, then after 3 days, call PBB to convert that RM2k into 9month Flexipay.

advantages: good for single large sum transaction. no additional fees. simple call-in to CS, done in 1 minute. if you have multiple flexipay done, you can also BT your upcoming statement to another card, further extending the period (e.g. BT to MBB's 12mth 0%).

disadvantages: not by statement (for this, you do BT instead), need min RM2k for 9month 0% flexipay, tricky when your purchase is near bill date (T&C: 3 days after transaction, 5 days before bill date).
here's what's shown in the statement:

I finally saw it, but how the bank know I pay for it if my current card still got some balance?
Ex: bt bank H to bank M, but bank M still got some balance, how the bank know I pay for the bt?
Also it like loan, so how to early settle it? Or pay more per month?
*
bt is just a payment-on-behalf. one time transfer per request.

balance from H, M will pay the amount you requested to H.

H received payment. that's all.

balance/hutang will be at M's side. H is cleared.

at M's side, the bt installment is paid together with your whatever outstanding. all in the statement.

to early settle, call bank.

While not really BT pbb does offer 0% 12 months easy payment scheme for spending above rm 1k if not wrong .
*
dont confused between flexipay (per transaction conversion) and balance transfer (whole statement amount to another bank)

while no good BT program available, PBB's flexipay is still good enough for large ticket item, but not the whole statement.

No confusion at all. Basically I'm trying to say u still can achieve 0% if BT way is not available anymore. Best part with flexipay is u are not limited to 80% of your credit line as compare to BT.
*
there are ppl dont have pbb quantum cards to utilize the flexipay. most want to BT to other bank instead (to free up current card's CL).

also, flexipay will still utilize your existing credit limit, hence the effective available limit would still be impacted for subsequent purchase.

It might sound like a silly question but if I do BT from one bank A to bank B, would the CC from bank A still active or it being automatically canceled?
