QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Dec 3 2017, 02:46 PM) Yes this is 1st. Then u call CS when is your BT due date? Settle the last by the due date to avoid early penalty lo. Yes, after checking my due date and my statement, last installment will be 4th month installment. My due date is the same as my credit cards due date. By 3rd instalment payment, i will make sure I have only rm1 outstanding balance. So by 4th instalment I will just settle it. Just to play safe if it consider as late payment, interest rate will be charged on my RM1 only. Thanks for helping though.. By the way how did you vheck your last instalments due date?

QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Dec 3 2017, 03:22 PM) Ya. The best way to avoid the huge early settlement penalty I call CS to confirm my due date. Yea.. I will call customer service later to enquire on my due date. Thanks. QUOTE(justanovice @ Dec 3 2017, 03:35 PM) I just settled mine, special rate expiry date 30/11/2017. I make payment to settle the balance on 1/12/2017. BT account gone on 2/12/2017. No penalty no charges. Thanks for the information. Will monitor mine closely to avoid any unnecessary penalty imposed.

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Dec 3 2017, 10:14 PM) For those who took up the HLB 3 month BT, how long did process take from the day the CS called? I got my call on Thursday, and opted for cash to my savings account. Never done this before so not sure how long it takes from the date of call to actually receiving the cash. Thanks in advance. It will takes 3-5 working days to process. You can log in everyday to check if there is new account for BT pops up. If yes, means your BT application got approved. I am also receiving cash to my savings. Call > BT accounts pop up > after 1 working day money will be in your Savings Account.

QUOTE(MGM @ Dec 5 2017, 03:21 PM) I just talk to a HLB CS regarding the 3-month 0% BT and was told that there is a cash interest charged even though full payment based on statement balance is made by due date. Anyway he sounded inexperience. Anyone can explain? Just monitor closely on the due date, call CS on when is your due date of the BT. You won't get any charges. Otherwise, late payment/early settlement fee.

QUOTE(kop2299 @ Dec 5 2017, 04:09 PM) If my expiry date is is 28/12, Can i settle full on 28/12 using instant IBG? or settle on 29/12? From what i read, try to put RM1 outstanding on 12/28, this is to prevent early settlement and also high lat payment interest rate imposed. Then on the next day, settle the RM1. You are done.

QUOTE(rainbird @ Dec 18 2017, 05:09 PM) So far this is the best, no other bank can match MB. Lol Yea. I heard it is strict, but my current salary only can get 2 cc from 2 diff issuer banks. Hence, I cannot apply MBB CC anymore. As it is strict, the chances of getting approved is so thin.

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Dec 19 2017, 01:56 PM) sorry.. im newbie for balance transfer.. recently my colleague told me balance transfer is some sort like MBB apply balance trasnfer 0% 12 months & 3% processing fee waived.. if i apply to move 3k from HLB CC, then i need to pay monthly 250.. So i got 3k cash in HLB or how? basically my HLB do not have any debt except some grocries expenses & misc exp which about 1k outstanding.. i will clear my statement every month for both side.. how is the logic works? let's say my HLB available limit is 4k, and can i apply balance transfer of 3k to my maybank? then i got 3k cash in hand? then monthly installment back for this 3k? Assuming if you are going to do Balance Transfer to your Saving Accounts, you may do it with HLB. HLB can BT 90% of your current available credit limit. Monthly repayment is minimum amount which is 5%, and you need to settle all on due date. BTW, HLB balance transfer 0% is for 3 months only.

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Dec 19 2017, 02:26 PM) thanks for reply.. i did call to mbb customer service and answer is unsuccessful for my application.. i have misunderstood about balance transfer cause my colleague told me that he able to cash out the money through balance transfer.. but as per my understanding after i tried to apply BT, only applicable for the outstanding balance in CC A to MBB CC.. example my HLB is outstanding 3k, then i can transfer 3k outstnading in HLB to MBB and monthly repayment RM250 for 12 months.. if my HLB outstanding is 1k and i apply 3k, which is unsuccessful cause they cant process it. so i did confirmed my application is unsuccessful already.. so it's fine to me now.. basically i need some lump sum of cash for something but it's fine.. i may delay till end of month.. it's a deposit and i will back the cash after this.. nvm thanks guys. Yes, maybe you got it right. HLB is able to balance transfer into cash though. But MBB is not. Good luck bro.

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Dec 20 2017, 09:09 AM) oo.. my colleague told me that it is cash, but not MBB. he is using HSBC.. initially thought to use this for deposit for renovation. Recently got new house and bought & paid a lot of things. Some FD will mature by 6th Jan 18, then haha i try anyways to got cash without interests.. also, it's my first time to perform BT, but now i know what's Balance transfer already.. HLB to provide balance transfer 0% which is transferable to saving accounts. But repayment period is 3 months only. If you need cash for a small amount, maybe you can apply from HLB Congrates on getting new house though.

QUOTE(ChuanHong @ Dec 20 2017, 09:25 AM) erm.. small amount only.. nvm, better i wait till end of Dec to get bonus & Jan FD mature date.. haha im not really understand balance transfer in details, better dont play play, else, later screwed up with interests then not worth ady.. even MBB got EzyCashPlus like cash advance in 6 months up to 10k with 3.88% 1 off processing fee.. I feel not worth as well. After some consideration, i decided to postpone renovation 2 weeks later.. =) plus, i have my feng shui sifu to visit by this Saturday.. maybe can listen some advice first too.. but just got new house then feel excited and plan to buy everything in 1 shot. Yea bro. Feel happy for you. I am just too young for that. Hopefully I am at your stage soon All the best in the renovation.
