May be not related question , but want to know if any expert got the answer ,
For TNB bill , i want to make my credit card record easier,
i would like to pay RM100 for each transactions ,

with this , the bill would have excess or out-standing ,
My questions:
1. TNB pay interest for the excess fund ?
2. TNB charge interest for the outstanding bill ?
3. hOW do tnb charge for #2?
4. How long before TNB cut off power supply for the outstanding bill ?

Thank you very much .

ask in general Q&A section la >> https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4281854

1) no, and pointless anyway because it will be used to reduce next month's bill.
2) no, but there will be late payment fee.
3) charged into your bill
4) no idea, dont feel adventurous to try!

Hi, I'm new to balance transfer & need some help here
I'm planning to settle my ptptn loan with credit card (to enjoy 20% discount) & apply MBB balance transfer for 12 months by next year.
I tried to apply BT via M2U just now but my application was rejected. My MBB credit limit is 7k & the amount I applied was 2k only.
Can I know why I was rejected?

My ptptn loan is around 20k & I have cash in hand (but not in MBB). Prefer to pay back the loan by installment & enjoy 20% discount at the same time.

Anyone can help? Thank you

whatever the status, your current CL will not be enough anyway.

Hi guys,

I've been thinking of using Balance Transfer from either Maybank or Public Bank to make a pay off full settlement to my RHB Easy Loan.

My RHB Loan left
10,906.14

Payoff Amount
8,710.35

Reason is, RM2.2k differences is huge. If Balance Transfer could get 0% interest for 1 year and 3% for handling fees. Which if 8710.35 transfer to Maybank/Public credit card makes 8971.66. And no increase of interest since BT interest 0% for 1 year.

Question is, is it possible using BT for payoff amount?

bump u here

Of course it works.. the transfer OCCURS NEXT DAY
See sceenshots of CIMB & MBB. Even Citibank, Public Bank and others that i use states similar stuff for public holidays & weekends' instant bank transfers.
.. er.. unless of course U own the bank or U're a Dato Seri?
or perhaps an offshore bank that is 48 hours behind GMT +8 (MY time)?

you've been talking about INSTANT (IBFT) bank transfer, right?

all you highlighted is INTERBANK (IBG) bank transfer schedule.

recently i applied for mbb 12 months 0% BT through m2u, was charged the 3% interest and 6% GST, this will be refunded right?

remember i read sometime ago that some forumners say they didn't do the "charge and refund" thingy for this round of 12 months 0% BT promotion, so just wanna confirm
*
same la

refund within 30 days, usually by end of the month the waivers will be in.

if you dont want to see the charges, then apply via email instead.

let's say i perform balance transfer from my maybank card to public bank, am i still entitled for treats points & the monthly cashback for my maybank card?
*
yes of course, card features still maintain.

u just transfer xx amount of outstanding from maybank to pbb only. pbb, in turn, transfer payment to mbb card, just like any other payment.

ok thanks, really appreciate your reply.

remember, your mbb monthly instalment will still run.

if your BT intention is to clear the installments, then call MBB to request for early settlement. then do the BT of 12k.

i thought usually CC will deduct total installment amount to CL, in statement also not show the total amount of installment. just show monthly pay only. So thats means i need to call mbb to cancel the installment, then do BT to other CC. is it correct?
*
installment and CL are two separate matters.

you BT 12k to "restore" your CL (essentially overpaying), but the installment is ongoing.

your full purchased amount is temporary reserved elsewhere. mbb system still hold your remaining balance and programmed to drop the monthly installment into your monthly statement. you also said yourself, you only see the monthly amount, not full amount.

i have replid to you few days ago on this, how would UOB/other banks knows your actual full purchase amount?

as i said before, since your intention is to clear the installment balance, then call MBB to cancel the installment (i.e. full settlement). system will then drop the balance as lumpsum amount into your statement.

then you should start asking the earlier question by telling us what card(s) you're holding.

or tell us your plan to apply new card just for BT.

I had applied MBB BT 0% for 12 months on 26th Oct and was charged 3% SC. Until now the SC still have not been waived. Is it normally this late to waive or I should contact MBB soon?
*
yes. t&c stated within 30 days right? did u read this ?

on actual situation, mbb process the waiver roughly last week of each month. for u, probably next week.

yeah, good to BT to improve cashflow for the time being.

alternatively, u can use Public Bank cards and go for Flexipay as well. swipe from merchant, then call CS to split to 0% 9mth (other pbb cards) / 12mth (quantum cards only) tenure.
