i have been on this scheme for 4 years, entering the 5th year

dont tell me torrent or folding

mine is a webhost and mostly gaming
yes, i do torrenting too ( when bandwith demands are low)

and the only days it gets rest is -

hardware upgrade
tnb power down (electric trip)
or reboot for critical upgrade

and erm, Windows is not the only OS i run on this thing

btw , i OC too and it hasnt given problems mah

so i dun think its bad at all
hope u understand what im trying 2 say

5 years is generally a nice number so dun condemn it yet
it might fail now, later , tomolo , watever

but 5 years on nonstop action , i think thats quite generous

iCute!!!! sohai psu, i got same probz like u ..now i use Power Logic

the amount of users using iCute i think its death defying resulting in a death defying amount of failures

Icute is okay. I have 1 four years old pc with 450watt icute psu still running fine till now. I even oc the pc a little and the psu still can tahan.
If you think cheap psu is bad so how about those unlucky one who have all sort of problem with branded and mahal psu? some of them only use the branded psu for 2 weeks and the psu already spoilt.
I think the main reason Icute got highest vote because there are so many people using Icute psu. If you want a more accurate statistic, we should take vote from let say 1000 people who use Icute and another 1000 peoples who use another branded psu (let say enermax). Only then we can see how high the spoilt rate of Icute compare to another branded psu.

Hmm..I am using ICute PSU also....The PSU came with the ICUTE 0408SL-BS casing...Till now No problem also...I do torrenting,overclock my pc..PLay game and all...my record..PC on for 3 weeks...Non stop torreting and playing game...Ok only.....Now also my pc on9 for 2 days 13 Hours...

the only thing that killed my PSU is lightning
replaced the ciplak MEC with enlight(still ciplak )
then sold off the enlight during last upgrade
bought seasonic S12 and also another silverstone element instead

hope they dont give me any trouble

Whether ICute can tahan or not also depends on the hardware you got lar. normally people use so-so hardware for ICute also it fail.Try plugging ICute into a high end system, then will habis lar. got see ppl fry their C2D motherboard because plug C2D, and Winfast 7900gs TDH Extreme and use ICute rm300++ PSU.

Those people who buy reputable brands almost always have a high end PC that consumes far more power, and then some people overclock and open 24hrs some more, that's why they fail. but some maybe got a bad PSU lar...

tat's y man created AVR... chapalang PSU can't start my rig... minimum is iCute 450W... tat also i can't overclock... and sometimes auto shutdown or restart when doing heavy duty stuff...

err... then u must be using a cap palang rig...

i got build a few rigs using iCute PSU for CCTV which is resource consuming and running 24/7... no problems found ever... unless OC'ed...

PowerLogic...? tat stupid brand short circuit a few mobo when i tried to assemble... then either integrated audio, graphic or LAN will be gone... and in some cases which happen to me twice... the whole motherboard can't start...

DS4 short circuit? How izzit now?? Tht mobo so expensive.. hope its okay lol

Not the mobo but the Power Logic PSU that short circuit the DS4 mobos. Power Logic PSU really not so reliable if the case happens.

so many ppl have problem with Icute PSU.....

the quality of the Icute PSU is really suspecious.....

i wonder why Icute is so popular in Malaysia? it isnt cheap either...

i am using the icute 480watt PSU now.. and got UPS also
after one and half year,
mb die, bios corrupt, dont know this matter to the PSU or not
using a 2nd hand mb now.. hopes it dont happen again..
