you must know, there's a lot different in iCute PSU and Enermax, or watsoever PSU it is...
FYI, i got old system with 200W capalang PSU, which been running almost 9 years (once help my higher end system stay in temporary state though), but it's very risky ok, sooner or later, it'll burn your critical component such as HDD, Graphic Card, Motherboard...
i dare you (Jcsy), burn 4.7GB of data, mutilple run of Prime/Orthos/SP2004, encode/decode video files, run Real Time HDR Lightning, surf site - LY.Net tongue.gif, and check your voltage fluctuation suffered by your PSU - of course run all in simultaneously and overclocked state brows.gif

Cap helang/ayam/kapak. It fried the PSU together with my processor and my motherboard. Maybe it is because I didn't plug in properly(because it isn't that fully inserted, like a quarter of cm away or less)?

been there, done that, and probably went beyond

not exactly the example u have given, but a stress test would be sufficient
prime 95 and do my daily routines, for weeks ( forgot tat it was actually ON)

ive played Counter strike on 1 core , compress a RAR on 1 core, and convert an .avi to .rmvb on 2 cores

yes, it lagged but not that bad smile.gif

ram was 0, cpu was 100%

and erm, all this was in overclocked mode.. btw
i havent mentioned i do this for fun smile.gif
i enjoy watching PC performance n stretching it abit biggrin.gif
perhaps its my OS which is featherweight tongue.gif

i wouldnt even want 2 mention my taskbar layer and taskbar notification area
they are sometimes a pain 2 any normal computer user

and i do use abnormal applications biggrin.gif

has yet 2 fail me , iCute
as long as it didnt give me data lost or crash my pc or spoil my hardware, im ok with it

i guess the people buy icute is because of affordability.
however please rethink, many people buy icute therefore chance of getting bad psu also goes up. For example if u apply 1/10 rules on icute products vs enermax for same volume like 10,000. then you would get back the same figure of bad psu. I am still using Icute all the way and no problem with it. While enermax sales volume lower than Icute therefore seldom hear they encounter bad psu problem which people summarized it as good psu.

I doubt you will get the same figure of bad PSU. Enermax PSU is good PSU not because it have less reported bad PSU, but the quality and performance it can give compare to capalang PSU. Do you think that those branded and well famous PSU get their name for nothing? Anyway, I do not have intention to start a war here, and this is just my opinion... icon_rolleyes.gif
