patrickyeo21@ after looking at the pics sorrie to inform you that you / installater did wrongly on the door panel...

not saz it doesnt work, but later you you find problem on sound and vibrations... most of the MyVis usually cut the hole on the door for the speakers to fit in...

i think normally ppl will use ready made fibre panel to fit in the speakers instead of wood panel
so a bit weird ler....

moreover, normal car will screw the speaker on the door frame instead of door panel... laugh.gif

1st of all, but cutting the hole, you will give more space for the speakers and interms in speakers reflex, the bass will sound better, then with soundproof that part, it sound even better... if tuners tune youre system, they will feel that the system will feel not right (this i dont know how to explain)

the advice was given as some of my member also done the same thing, and after redo it, the difference can be felt... understand that most ppl dont want to spoilt the door, its up to individual, if you okay with it then its fine... just want to let you know...

as for your sound proofing, more likely its like sound dampening, as mostly sound proofing will be on the steel door...

seriously if u guyss had sound proof ur whole door panel at the inner frame and outer panel, then the response of ur mid bass will had some changes which will result in poor freq response, non natural sound, stage & depth prob and some others....this is thru my experience....and my car are having this prob now...

just sharing it, if u wna a real sound from ur mid bass, try find a enclosure for ur mid bass which is not too big...then u will know how exactly ur mid bass sound....
