Is Webe actually throttle our speed when we fallback to HSPA? Speedtest shown 8-10Mbps but downloading kinda capped at 270kbps. At forst i thought server problem so i download apps from Play Store which i am sure they have blazing fast server and there again speed is only 270+.

I got the feeling maybe webe is throttling the speed when falling back to H. So i do an experiment which i tunnel whole device into a proprietary protocol vpn so that they cant sniff the network, and test a download. Wallah, speed is at it should.

Here is the screencap with and without vpn.

I suppose it make sense for Webe to do it (or Celcom asked them to) so as not to clog Celcom network (3G). Btw, 270KBps speed not that bad lar. If really 270kbps then gg lor
