I feel the pricing is not really fixed yet, especially the RM8-10? Then Auto-Pay get RM5 off?
RM80/month for unlimited everything seems plausible though

QUOTE(OKLY @ Apr 8 2016, 12:46 PM) What I meant was would you prepare the webpages if it was a staff-only plan which was never meant to be published out to the public? Even if the plan is for staff only, the brochure or images will get leaked out to the public also eventually. Public will still get excited because they won't read further |

QUOTE(joevo2 @ Apr 11 2016, 08:36 AM) LOL hmmm im bad at explaining stuff... What i meant is, you received a call and you go to the home screen (while the call is still on going) then you decide to browse lyn forum and ignore the caller (while the call is still on going) I don't think it can't be done yet unless webe introduced VoLTE. Otherwise, sure need to fall back 2G/3G network to make/receive calls. In essence, simultaneous calling and usage of data Btw is it true that if we want tethering we need to pay another RM10? You can do tethering now? Thanks ya for providing so much info... if is really Rm10 for 20GB on LTE really gonna switch camp from TuneTalk. TuneTalk is good though, but WeBe seems better |

QUOTE(webeofficial @ Jul 1 2016, 11:16 AM) Hi, our invites to webe members and TM customers are based on those within out coverage areas first. This is to let them experience our service better. How do webe checked for certified smartphone? And what's about the Fair Usage Policy? I saw there's a RM500 limit on voice call per month, no SMS blasting etc. How about data? |

For a start, they can look at your traffic pattern. Not certified phone means cannot tap into their 4G network. And for goodness sake, they are not trying to sell u a phone, they just don't want u to roam on celcom network all the time by using a non-certified phone. typical Malaysian mindset.
Ppl give you unlimited with a decent price (RM79) so that you don't need to worry bout running out of quota etc. But no, must abuse as much as possible by full time downloading etc |

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Sep 13 2016, 11:57 AM) Can't agree more. They don't understand that there is only limited wireless spectrum, and this will need to be share among how many xxxx users who connecting to a base tower station simultenously. Compare to Unifi/Streamyx which are a direct wired connection to your houseQUOTE(620omen @ Sep 13 2016, 12:03 PM) When they did advertise unlimited data.. everyone have same asumption, worry free on quota.. however, their responsibility to enhance their technology to cope with user demand with resonable drawback. They just started building their coverage like 1-2 years if you include TMgo. Give them some time.Unlimited data, but network unreliable, they could lost customer trust pretty fast i believe.. It's not a matter of technology. It's a matter of the spectrum that they have. 850MHz LTE (band 5) is not very common but it's at least a lot more better than 2600MHz TDD |

QUOTE(a2zextra @ Sep 13 2016, 02:23 PM) One of disadvantage of using 850Mhz spectrum, low capacity that can cover all the user in one time. They will (i hope so Still remember when GSM 900Mhz spectrum had been dominating our mobile telecomunication around years 80's to 90's. Lots of user complaining of reception problem when making/receiving a phone call. And very misleading on your 2nd statement. 900MHz GSM is better for covering blind spot and in-building coverage than 1800MHz GSM. Why it was bad in 80' 90' previously because the telcos just started to build their network coverage. This post has been edited by tohff7: Sep 13 2016, 02:56 PM |

QUOTE(kroul2 @ Sep 14 2016, 09:55 AM) The lower the bandwidth, the lower the download and upload speed. Although the coverage might be good. Yea, that's why I said, once an area get congested, TM/webe will use/build higher band spectrum. And it's not the speed, it's the capacity that is lower. And all of this not applicable to voice (in reply to another forumer that said last time 900 GSM service sucks) |

QUOTE(Rohan Odinson @ Sep 30 2016, 02:10 AM) Is Webe actually throttle our speed when we fallback to HSPA? Speedtest shown 8-10Mbps but downloading kinda capped at 270kbps. At forst i thought server problem so i download apps from Play Store which i am sure they have blazing fast server and there again speed is only 270+. I suppose it make sense for Webe to do it (or Celcom asked them to) so as not to clog Celcom network (3G). Btw, 270KBps speed not that bad lar. If really 270kbps then gg lorI got the feeling maybe webe is throttling the speed when falling back to H. So i do an experiment which i tunnel whole device into a proprietary protocol vpn so that they cant sniff the network, and test a download. Wallah, speed is at it should. Here is the screencap with and without vpn. [attachmentid=7646438] With vpn; [attachmentid=7646443] |
