I'm at Shah Alam Seksyen 13 but still not get the speed upgrade. Already restarted both router and ONT.

for speedtest its the same speed as I subscribed.

But for fast.com, the speed differ. I think fast.com can't be relied for the speed

*
I'm using the 1.1.1.1 Internet's fastest DNS. Why?

so they are actually upgrading existing 100mbps to 500mbps? 300 to 800 & 500 to 1gbps, means they won't have 100mbps package anymore?
*
Maybe TIME will introduce 100mbps package for a lower price but I doubt that will happen as it will effect the company revenue at the moment. Its best they stay with 500mbps rm149, 800mbps rm189, and 1Gbps rm299 because its very affordable already. With this for years, they didn't need to change their package.

Price not adjust? Like that sure 80% ppl will downgrade
*
But the problem of Time when downgrade, u need to pay for 2 month fees for downgrade. I doubt many people want to downgrade because of that

Awesome

Just want to ask few question

how was it better then the google open dns i guess?

I see you set it on pc does it make any diffrent if i set it on router?
*
Actually don't fell any different before as TIME Internet connection was very stable at my place. Before this, I just use the obtain DNS automatically. On Time, I doubt will feel the different, but before i'm use Time, on Unifi can get feel the different when use auto dns or use google dns.

And for your 2nd question, when u set on router, all the device on your router network the previous dns setting. And when u only set on pc, only the pc get the benefit of the dns. That all the different to it. For more info, can refer to this, https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-differenc...-on-your-router

Depends tongue.gif sometimes almost nothing a month, sometimes a lot, like on october the download volume will be a bit bigger due to game releases like RDR2 or Forza horizon 4. but never face speed downgrade till last few days.
*
I on torrent 24/7 every day. No downspeed for me. Maybe your area got connection problem, pls report to time and take action.

This month on my pc only. But I usually have more than 10 devices connecting on the wifi at the same time usually on night. So the total usage will be more higher than my pc usage alone. But still I do not face any speed downgrade at all.

*
Hmm when check the service info, mine was still at 300Mbps. Can u provide screenshot where it is 1000Mbps?

Cook up a quick FAQ to prevent the overload of similar question.

What speed that I will be upgraded to?
No confirmation is provided as of now. Pending for announcement.
As of now, 100Mbps got upgraded to 500Mbps. 300Mbps got upgraded to 1000Mbps.

Why I am not upgraded yet?
Upgrade is conducted in phase, please wait for more announcement.

Why I am not getting the speed that I want?
Test it using a good CAT5E/CAT6 LAN cable as wireless signal is subjected to signal interference and degradation.

How to get good speed over wireless network?
Upgrade to a better wireless router. Consider a good wireless adapter as well.
Most phones and laptops in the market can only perform 500Mbps max and that is on super good condition.

The Archer C1200 can do 500Mbps over WiFi just fine as close distance.
DIR-850L is kinda weak, consider an upgrade.
As for all the older routers, upgrade them.

What router should I buy?
I suggest something at least AC1750 and above. TP-Link C7/C9/C3150 and Asus RT-AC66U/67U/68U/86U/88U

For more router related question, refer to this thread.

InNET server always quite slow, better test using TIME server
*
Well, as suggested on TIME server itself. Earlier seem like the TIME server was missing that why I use another server, but I tried again and saw the TIME server.
Can get about 840Mbps was good enough for me. So, do the 300Mbps upgraded to 800Mbps or 1Gbps?? Hmmm
