Not sure about the Tenda but the Xiaomi is able to support up to only 100Mbps. Anything more you need a better router. Not recommended.TIME [OFFICIAL] TIME Fibre Broadband™ v3.o, 500 Mbps of rocket science

QUOTE(uGinn @ Aug 16 2017, 01:49 PM) Guys , need help choosing for 300mbps router. Archer C3150 , AC66U or Netgear R6400? Setup have 1 access point (UBNT UAP AC LR). I dont see the incentive of gettting that Netgear over Asus or TP-Link.As for C3150, C3150 effectively have the same chipset as RT-AC88U. It is a faster device. RT-AC66U is better feature wise. It is only a matter of preference. Since you already have the UBNT AP, wireless performance may not be your primary concern. |

QUOTE(uGinn @ Aug 16 2017, 06:21 PM) Thanks for your reply, I just need a solid , fast and stable connection from the router. Not much of wireless power. Like kmrdeva said, you can consider UBNT enthusiast grade router. They are not as simple as your usual router in the set up part but their performance is pretty good. If you are looking for raw performance, the C3150 supposedly is faster with a faster dual core CPU. |

New installation will now come with the TP-Link Archer C1200. I actually have that router and it is much better than D-Link DIR-850L. |

QUOTE(RobMC @ Sep 25 2017, 08:40 PM) 2.4Ghz is a very congested frequency. Many wireless devices like dect phones run on 2.4Ghz. Even your microwave oven is 2.4Ghz as well. The interference issue is very apparent at condominiums where there are a lot of routers in close proximity. Theoretical wise, it can reach 100Mbps but the maximum throughput is limited by the severe interference. QUOTE(FusionXY @ Sep 25 2017, 09:02 PM) Hi, for 2.4GHz to get 90+ Mbps. 40Mhz on 2.4Ghz is going to make interference worst and not better. Not many devices in the market support Wireless N 300 as well. Your router must be AC1750 and above. Set the channel bandwidth to 40MHz and the channel to 11. Only DL speed can reach. UL speed can't. I'm using TP-Link Archer C9 AC1900. Set the channel channel bandwidth to 40MHz. My laptop can achieve full speed via Wi-Fi. |

QUOTE(ace-user @ Oct 23 2017, 11:55 PM) I'm honestly done with TIMES. My area is Setapak PV13 and I'm getting 1mbps download speed almost every single night for the past 2-3 weeks using WiFi on both 5ghz and 2.4ghz but using Lan I can get around 90++ Mbps. There's not much the technician can do. It is a common thing when you stay at a high density condominium where there are a lot of wireless devices in close proximity. Technician came just now around 8pm to upgrade firmware and do all kinds of nonsense and he speedtest can get around 150mbps. Starting from 9pm++ I'm getting less than 1mbps download speed. Even coming here to type this comment I can't even load forum lowyat are you fucking kidding me. I have to use my phone data to load this forum and post a comment. But I can load YouTube 720p just fine despite having 1mbps download. What kind of logic is this?! I've been talking to CS for 3 weeks already every night get same answer, will talk to technical team and get back to me, but nobody ever gets back to me until today technician came but didn't solve anything. My connection is not even very crowded, sometimes 10 devices connected and even 7 connections also face this problem. This is getting way out of hand. I can't even game properly without teleporting everywhere but can watch YouTube 720p perfectly fine. Paid for 300mbps but getting 1mbps download, well-done TIMES. 0.81mbps is using 2.4ghz 0.94mbps is using 5ghz 95mbps is using Lan. The Internet is working properly but it's just that the wireless condition at your place is really congested. I would recommend you to use LAN or buy a better router. |

QUOTE(stij @ Feb 26 2018, 11:07 PM) I realize many of you got ping < 10ms, actually how you connect and test? Wired LAN? 5GHz? What router? Such low latency (ping) is only possible on the Speedtest server owned by Time. Any other server will involve more hops and result in higher latency. Thanks Anyway, regarding the router question, I am using the TP-Link Archer C5400 and this is tested on 5Ghz Wireless. |

QUOTE(Pmc @ Apr 21 2018, 04:05 PM) Anyone gaming using TIME fibre? i notice there's always lag/spikes happening from time to time (no pun intended) while playing games. Didn't notice that issue but maybe that's because I am always on wired LAN whenever I am gaming.is there anything i can do to minimize that? other than gaming TIME broadband is unparralel for the speed and price! The wireless on the stock router is pretty bad anyways. Wireless is not suitable for gaming. |

QUOTE(herojack41 @ Apr 22 2018, 03:41 PM) disagree I should say that it is not optimal.it depends on how you optimize and what kind of wireless router + receiver ( usb dongle ) you use. I have same experience as wired when using wireless. You can never beat the consistency and the low latency of a dedicated wired connection no matter how well you optimise your equipments. If you live in a high interference environment such as in a high density apartment, it is very difficult. |

Item #3 is definitely a bug with the firmware of the router. You can ignore it since it does not impact usability. |

Welcome to the club Thanks to yeapch01 for the good service and rebate. Hopefully TIME will give free upgrade to 1Gbps and my friend will be super happy. ![]() |

QUOTE(vernon91 @ Sep 29 2018, 09:51 AM) my guess would be Wireless AX routers is coming soon300mbsp = 800mbsp to 1gbps? 500mbps = >1gbps? but i don think there is any normal consumer router that can handle more than 1gbps im more curious those from TIME jumped ship to Unifi or Maxis Singapore is already delivering 2gbps - 10gbps. https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tech-news-h...-wi-fi-problems |

QUOTE(CANONPIXMA @ Sep 29 2018, 01:55 PM) Guys, my current GPON is having 4 ethernet ports, but somehow only 1 port is working. How do I enable the rest of the ports? Not possible to enable, it is disabled by TIME by default. Time only allow 1 instance of PPPOE to be active at the same time as well. Please do not ask me to use the port on the router, I have my reason behind to use the ethernet port directly from the GPON. Thanks. |
