Was previously a 500mb user. Downgraded to 300mb recently - already plenty for me. Free upgrade would be sweet but no no to paying more tongue.gif

No penalty that I know of. Contract restarted, maybe. No biggie since I only have 2 choices of unifi or time fiber and I definitely do not want unifi.

Was on 500mb rm249 plan (not rm299 since I was part of the earlier group of upgraded subscribers). Now happy to save more than rm50 per month and the 300 speed is more than good enough for me.

That’s possible, I guess.

Netflix full HD streams fine for me, though. Accessing US content via ExpressVPN.

Yes I have to use a US based vpn gateway in order to get US content. It’s not laggy or anything but the first 5 secs or so of the stream will start as non HD.

Netflix is available in Malaysia. You can sign up for free trial on their site. However you’ll only get access to maybe 25-35% of their total catalogue due to region.

The vpn thing is for getting access to the whole US catalogue. Not sure if there is a thread in LYN though. But feel free to Google and read up.

Cloudflare DNS seems quicker than Google DNS these days smile.gif

1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 are my primary and secondary now.

Impressive download speed offers from Unifi. Any mention on the upload speeds?

Maybe Time can consider upgrading 100 to 200, 300 to 600 and 500 to 1000mbps download and upload speeds smile.gif

I still remember the big hoo-haa about the lousy stock router right after Time upgraded speeds to 100/300/500.

Maybe this round, we will get another speed upgrade, a newer more powerful stock router and a restart of the 2 year contract period lol wink.gif

4Gbps is nuts. Way beyond gigabit ethernet.

My guess is 100 to 200 / 300 to 600 / 500 to 1Gbps. Synchronous download and upload speeds which is better than what TM offers.

RM139 Unifi 300Mbps is up and down at 300Mbps like the plans offered by Time? No experience with HyppTV, anything special?
