QUOTE(FusionXY @ Sep 26 2018, 05:10 PM) Check your Self-Care until you see the pop up showing Redeem Your Free Router. Yesterday one of the forumer got the pop up. Mine got it today. What's your TIME stock original router? Thanks. Redeemed mine a couple of weeks back and got it installed last Friday. The tp-link ac1200 is definitely inferior to my current Asus ac68u (AP) or UBNT edgerouter-x (wired router) of course. Have set it up as my 2nd AP in the study room. Can't argue with free.

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Sep 26 2018, 05:28 PM) So you use the free C1200 as the main router or as 2nd AP? How's the wireless coverage? Boot time very slow? Can test 5G can achieve 100 Mbps? ( If you have 5G supported devices ) Wifi coverage is maybe 50% of the ac68u, good enough for my study room and 2nd bedroom. Now can have 5GHz all over at home. Not sure about boot time, didn't monitor. All my wireless devices are 5Ghz clients - yep, more than 100mbps on my 300mbps line.

QUOTE(prs516 @ Sep 28 2018, 03:24 PM) I'm using Dlink DIR-850L for my TIME 100Mbps now. Wifi slow and coverage is not so good. Will TIME charge me or extend my contract if i request them to change a new router? Probably less hassle to just buy your own better router to replace the dlink.

QUOTE(izwanikhsan @ Sep 30 2018, 12:19 AM) I am good with 100mbps (casual downloader ans streamer, household of 3) and prefer reduced price instead of increased speed. Unifi also allows users to change to cheaper package if they refuse to be turbo-ed by higher speed. Maybe Time will create a new plan for 100mbps with a cheaper price plus some sort of quota for those wanting a lower monthly bill.

QUOTE(Plotong @ Oct 3 2018, 08:49 AM) Means old 500Mbps is same price like old 300Mbps now, since both upgraded to 1Gbps? Hope that this is the case. Simplify down to 2 plans. 100 to 500 at x price. 300 & 500 to 1000 at y price.

QUOTE(gin&tonic @ Oct 3 2018, 09:51 AM) My android box only get about 95 d/l & u/l on my 500Mpbs Time on cat6 lan cable. Pls tell where can tweak in router settings for better speed.? My PC speed test is up & down speed is close to 500mbps. Am using TPlink ac1200 router. Your android box has 100mbps lan port or 1000mbps?

The TP-Link Deco M9 Plus mesh wifi solution seems to be getting a lot of good reviews. Reportedly better than Asus Lyra.
Gonna check it out after the official announcement of the plan upgrades by Time. Time to retire my ac68u lol.

QUOTE(wirelessbuyer @ Oct 4 2018, 12:05 AM) Don't forget to share with us your review later Btw, have you consider to buy another Asus router and make use of their AiMesh feature instead? Probably purchasing the deco m9+ by the end of this month. Yep I considered adding an ac86u to build an AiMesh network with my current ac68u. Still just a 2 band solution while the tp-link has a 3rd dedicated 5ghz radio for node to node backhaul. Around the same price either way. Might as well try something better.

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Oct 4 2018, 12:18 AM) The firmware is definitely better. But, it is really limited. It is totally sold out currently. Lelong has, I think. Don’t need so many features, tbh. Planning to use it as my AP pair. Read your review which was well written, but does it support this mode? Planning to maintain my er-x as the router.

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Oct 4 2018, 01:25 AM) Hi bro. Do test out the speed in the room and the furthest away from the Deco Set. Wanna know whether speed is more stable when using Bluetooth to pair per set. Can get full signal but I don't know about the speed. Do let me know after the results. Buy high end router or Mesh Wi-Fi whole home router Signal low on 5G is a problem for us. Your plan upgraded to 1Gbps? Thanks. Haven't bought yet, will test when I have it. Just need one in the living room and another in the study room (1 wall, 10-15m away). Decided after reading bro blacktubi's review at https://www.blacktubi.com/review/tp-link-de...m9-plus-review/And saw his reply to my question - AP mode is supported This post has been edited by kmrdeva: Oct 4 2018, 01:46 AM

QUOTE(idoblu @ Oct 4 2018, 11:52 AM) initially the m9+ was my target but now I sked like not fast enough. It’s suitable for my 500Mbps package for now but not above that. Still undecided which to get. Deco M9 or C2300 or C3150 I want to move away from single AP operation to a Mesh wifi network
