Can we have RM28(principal line) + RM10(unlimited calls) + RM35(7GB) = RM73 unlimited calls 7.5GB
Or RM28(principal line) + RM10(unlimited calls) + RM50(12GB) = RM88 unlimited calls 12.5GB

without having supp line?

as these 2 examples are cheaper than current RM78 plan although dun have the weekend RM2 3GB top up  blink.gif
and it is really confusing... ><

I am going to try to clarify this tomorrow at a Digi center. icon_rolleyes.gif

I think they allocate less speed per user so that no one can abuse the connection. You are only promised 5mbps and above 80% of the time. Thry might not be able to show off their speed, but atleast no one will complain it is congested.

We should also take a moment to appreciate Digi's website too, theirs is the cleanest and easiest to navigate compared to others. Maxis is not too bad. Celcom's webpage is abysmal. laugh.gif

Some Takeaway Points

QUOTE
Subsequent to the group's annual general meeting (AGM) today, chief executive officer Albern Murty told reporters that service revenue will continue to be Digi's focus, instead of market share.

QUOTE
Murty denied that the company is sacrificing profit just to compete for market share.

QUOTE
"We have always emphasised on growing service revenue; we are glad that about the subscriber numbers, but it is just a seasonal factor that drove the numbers, we have also surpassed our competitors in terms of subscribers few years back," he said.

Definitely can win Celcom as Celcom is investing RM1.8 to RM2.2 billion only over the next 5 years  biggrin.gif
*
Celcom can certainly catch up, but not anytime soon yet as laying down fibre backhaul requires time. Maxis and Digi is way ahead of them and I don't think they can reach where Maxis and Digi is now in this year. Although so, I am interested to see how well will Celcom's network grow.

It's gonna be slow unless they dramatically increase the budget they intend to increase their LTE network because it is RM904 million just for this year (DiGi) vs RM1.3 billion just for this year (Maxis) vs  RM1.8-RM2.2 over a period of 5 years (Celcom).   The Yellow Man will invest more than RM1.8 billion already in just two years but the GLC Celcom only intend to invest the same amount of money over a period of 5 years. Hard for them to catch up  biggrin.gif  And don't even talk about catching up to Maxis already.
*
I guess I read the article wrongly, I though 1.8b each year for 5 years. I guess they never learn...

DiGi isn't the inferior wireless service provider many West Malaysian think it is or used to think it is.
*
There is so much truth to this, I have been using Digi since 2010 and they rarely disappoint me. They used to be known to have crap network and crap packages. Now look at them, surpassing Maxis and have somewhat comparable network to Maxis and Celcom.

In terms of voice call Celcom still has the best coverage. That is why it is still popular and relevant in many parts of Sabah and Sarawak. But for LTE service, they fall far behind Maxis and DiGi. In fact DiGi is the second best now for LTE coverage.
*
I do agree on the part that Celcom has the best network for call coverage.

In my experience, Digi is the best in rural areas(in Sabah and Sarawak that is), I speak from my experience. This year I went on a trip circling Sabah. Drove the entire trip and went to really rural areas. I was also monitor all 3 telco there. Namely C,M,D. Digi has the best 3g coverage is only slightly behind Maxis in terms of 4G LTE coverage. Digi was faster thanks to LTE-A. Celcom had pretty good 3g but 4g is abysmal. In fact, all the people that stayed in rural areas uses Digi.

Sarawak, my grandmother resides in Bau, Sarawak. Pretty rural if you ask me. Digi was the first to bring 4g LTE there. They have the best 3G AND 4G there. thumbup.gif
Celcom had pretty good 3g there too, so far no idea if there is 4g yet or not. Maxis is the best tho for Kuching. I don't know about other towns like sibu or miri.

All in all, this is my experience and YMMV. Take it with a grain of salt and test for what is the best for you. In my case it is Digi.

PS, i think i kinda deviated from the main topic and sound kinda like a Digi fanboy Lol sweat.gif

If we look at spectrum allocation by MCMC, celcom is allocated with more compare to Digi. how is this going to affect Digi in future?
*
I think it won't affect them that much, after all they have Telenor to help them brows.gif
As for Celcom, they always had much more bandwidth as compared to Digi, they lost more than Digi did. The spectrum allocation is going to further equalise the playing field of each telco. thumbup.gif

Hi guys I just port in from celcom 38 yesterday.
Is it normal for digi to set my billing date start from April 21 to may 21? Shouldn't  it be prorated for 1st month? And the quota part is also 10gb..while free call is 0minutes  and Foc sms [attachmentid=6646858]
*
Digi has a few billings dates. On the 8, 16 and 21 of each month is all I know. They will prorate from the day that you successfully MNPed and deduct the amount from your account as you are required to pay when you first sign up. The myDigi app shows 0 minutes even if you have unlimited calls. I only know that FOC SMS is not free of charge SMS.

It's actually the other way around. 3GB comes with the standard DiGi Postpaid 68 plan. 2GB is the extra data given to East Malaysia residents.

SMS
LTE or lte to 20000, most likely it is your sim card that is to be blamed.

Update : After SMS LTE to 20000 it said "You are 4G LTE ready"

Any solution?
