it wasn't a crappy plan before ...

until maxis screw up big time and they had to do all sort of promotion to get back their customer which ultimately triggered the rest of the telco to compete
*
Agreed. It looked fine at the time of signed up. The difference however is that Maxis offers the same upgrade to those on MaxisONE Plan tied with contract. Many subscribers on iValue plan were offered to change to MaxisONE plan that is clearly better and provides better better value for your hard earned money despite they are still serving the contract under iValue plan. DiGi on the other hand isn't so generous in this regard. May be they need to experience what Maxis recently did else they won't wake up biggrin.gif

Meaning if I take Postpaid 68 More Internet that does not have unlimited calls, I can't get a supplementary line under it for Family Sharing?
*
Yes. So you really need to do the calculation because in this case, you are better off signing for DiGi Postpaid 78 that comes with unlimited calls to all networks and 7GB data for the principal line.

I am on digi 78, and i got charged 0.50 sens x 5 times for facetime activation.

Is this normal? The 50 sens was billed as SMS to United Kingdom.

Any1 encOunter this b4?
*
I was charged 6 times last month for the same thing. I believe we should always click cancel when we are prompted to activate iMessage or FaceTime so to avoid this kind of ghost SMS.

If Digi allows the removal of the unlimited calls add on, you can opt for this option 2.
(SP48+RM10 Internet Sharing) for principal line and (RM28) for supplymentary. Note that the unlimited call add ons is missing. This option will have 3 GB shareable between to devices but only the principal line has 100 calls & sms. This will cost you RM86.

Too bad cannot reach the desired budget of your but oh well... sad.gif
*
Unlimited calls feature is compulsory for the principal line but optional for supplementary line. Based on your suggestion, the monthly fixed commitment would work out to be RM96 + 6%.

Which prepaid plan is the bet for student??
Wanna buy new plan for my sis..
*
If she do not require long validity, go for Smart prepaid. 2gb 4G internet every weekend and free basic internet on week days.
*
But if she needs to make calls regularly, Hotlink FAST plan is probably cheaper in the long run as the call rate is only 24/cent per minute and 12/cent per minute to all Maxis numbers registered under Active10. But if she is going to make calls regularly only to family members or close friends who are also using a DiGi line, then DiGi Smart Prepaid is probably better as you can register up to 3 Buddyz line (all must be a DiGi line) and it gives you 3000 minutes of free calls and 3000 SMS to your Buddyz.

I thanks for the input..i saw prepaid plan got free social media like wassap, then she can use the wassap to call us family .me also using digi postpaid..that means she can register me as her buddy..also she also listen to spotify..
*
The call quality on Whatsapp is probably gonna be really bad as the free social media is capped at a speed of 64kbps. But since you're on DiGi postpaid, she can add you to her Buddyz list. Then she can talk to you up to 3000 minutes as long as her line is active biggrin.gif

Normally you should only switch to your new sim from your new telco only after your current sim stops working, as in no more reception.

Thanks.

One month advance is quite standard when sign up plan.
Do you know any penalty or charges upon termination?
I worry it will be a lot. Wish to find an easy come easy go package.
*
It is not tied to a contract. You can port out anytime after 30 days staying with DiGi.

Ohhh! Could be because I failed to receive the TAC from the banks since 11 sumthing yesterday! Till this morning I try again about 7.00am in the morning and it's still fails. Then it came back up everything from 8.00am onwards.
*
Same with me. I wasn't able to receive any SMS at all. I called DiGi hotline in the midnight and they confirmed that they were having problems with their SMS service since 9pm yesterday. Anyway, everything is working again now smile.gif

anybody change plan via digi website, plan to upgrade plan without going to digi centre.
*
It is possible to change plan via their website. Go to the Postpaid plan page, choose change plan and fill in your details accordingly. Change of plan will take 3 working days to process.

Interesting, I just popped into a Digi Store Express here in Penang to casually ask about MNP to Digi Prepaid.  They said they only do MNP to Digi Postpaid.  MNP to Prepaid must be done at a Digi Store (not Express).
*
Someone faced the same problem in Johor Bahru a few weeks ago. Perhaps you guys should lodge a complaint to DiGi. MNP to Prepaid can be done at DiGi Store Express run by dealer. The one at Suria KLCC is a dealer and they can do it but you need to pay RM10 for the SIM card whereas it is free if you do it at a DiGi Store.

im now with celcom,  rm70 after rebate is quite a bargain with no contact right?

Indeed it is. But as willaw mentioned, this plan doesn't come with free SMS. If you're a heavy SMS user, then this plan is not so good for you. But if you are still using SMS but only sending a few SMS every bill cycle, this is still a very good plan.

I'm still using SMS now as I noticed it takes some time for some people to reply WhatsApp messages. Besides, some people also do not switch on their data all the time to save battery. So these days I'll use WhatsApp only when I do not need you to reply me fast (something akin to a casual chat). SMS when I need a fast response from you but not necessary an immediate reply. If it is urgent then I'll call right away.

My current DiGi postpaid number has been active with them for 7 years (doesn't include the years it was on DiGi Beyond Prepaid Plan) and i am not eligible for this offer either. Then again it's probably because i am not done servicing my current contract tied to an iPhone 6S purchase late September last year.

It seems that almost all DiGi Postpaid customers on DiGi Smartplan 65v and DiGi Smartplan 75v received this offer. Both plans are relatively new plans that were originally promotional plans that DiGi came out with in October last year. My mom signed up for DiGi Smartplan 65v October last year when she switched from Maxis to DiGi. But too bad that she went back to Maxis already in April this year. Else she probably will get this offer too...
