QUOTE(vez @ May 4 2016, 02:42 PM)
but for Maxis MOP98 + MOS48 + MOS48, you get 15GB of data @RM194, is double the data
*
MOP98 can only have 1 supplementary line. To have 2 supplementary lines you need to go for MOP128. So for MOP98 with data pool the max data you get is only 10GB (unless you're on Sabah/Sarawak MOP 98 then it is 15GB with data pool).

QUOTE(vez @ May 4 2016, 02:42 PM)
which one better suit you, depends on your usage and how you understand the plan work out to be biggrin.gif

perhaps, my doubt is why not i go for postpaid RM68 which give 6GB of data and then add RM38 for supp line, RM106 for 6GB of data to share... wonder if the gadget and unlimited call is mandatory add on or optional... if add everything up, it will be EXPENSIVE than Maxis i believe, since supp line does not add any data

p/s: just comparing as per my understanding...
*
You must have unlimited call to begin with. So for this DiGi Smart Plan 68 with more data, you'll need to add another RM10 per month for unlimited call as DiGi Smart Plan 68 with more data doesn't come with unlimited call. So it should be RM68 + RM10 (unlimited call) + RM38 (supplementary line).

Do note that the supplementary line only gets unlimited call. If you want to share your data with your supplementary line, you need to pay another RM10 every month (RM68 + RM10 + RM38 + RM10).

So cannot not have unlimited calling for Sharing plans?  Then it's even more unattractive for me... sad.gif

Yes. But you need to add only RM10 for unlimited call (those not on unlimited call plan). Some may still think it is worth it.

Why have

SP68i + RM10 Unlimited Calls + RM10 Sharing >> 6GB

when you can have

SP78v + RM10 Sharing >> 7GB

for the same price (RM88)  bangwall.gif ?

Those who don't do their maths properly before signing up will be caught out.
*
Yeah... 7GB vs 6GB for the same price

DiGi Smart Plan 68 with more data (RM68 + RM10 for unlimited call + RM10 for data sharing + RM38 for 1 supplementary line)

DiGi Smart Plan 78 with unlimited call and 7GB data (RM78 + RM10 for data sharing + RM38 for 1 supplementary line)

I just noticed on my 78v account I can no longer purchase the 3GB weekend add-on.  It has disappeared as a purchase option.  But the 8GB for RM10 top-up is still there.
*
I've never seen the 3GB weekend add-on on MyDiGi app. The 8GB for RM10 was never there too. I'm on DiGi Smart Plan 78 tied to an iPhone contract. The biggest data add-on I can see is 6GB which is valid for 10 days only for RM65.

Hi guys,  if I port from other Telco to Digi Prepaid and any idea what plan would Digi offer me? How much I have to top up for 1 month Internet and my usage is around 300-500mb per month.
*
You can choose between DiGi Smart Prepaid and DiGi Best Prepaid. RM20 for 650mb of data and it is valid for 30 days.

No. It's not free. The fee is RM0.10 per SMS.

No wonder I got charged. I tot is unlimited calls and sms.  I was wrong.

DiGi Postpaid 68, 78 and 80 all come with data and unlimited calls only. SMS will be charged on pay-per-use basis.

By the way, anyone knows anything about this yet to be launched DiGi Postpaid 88 Plan ? Saw a leaflet about this plan at a DiGi Express Store but staff there told me this plan is not in the system yet. On the leaflet it say 15GB data + unlimited calls. I guess it is something like 10GB all-day + 5GB weekend + unlimited calls ?

Current plan 7+3 and unlimited calls already cost rm80.. while add rm8 get 5GB more? Erm.. Digi... errr... 5GB for 7am till 1am plus 10gb for 1am till 7am maybe?

Malaysia Telco = Blood Bank.
*
I don't think so. I suspect it is very likely to be 10GB + 5GB because the DiGi Postpaid 78 comes with 7GB all-day data. But for just RM2 more, you can upgrade to DiGi Postpaid 80 and you will get an additional 3GB data for weekend. So it is not a surprise if DiGi can offer 10GB + 5GB data only RM8 more for this yet to be launched DiGi Postpaid 88 plan.

I think the rm88 is same as what it is offered at other places, which include:

Rm78 7GB +
Rm10 8GB (7days validity) +
Unlimited calls

And i duno whether can add rm2 for 3GB weekend or no...
*
Woah. Then the staff at the DiGi Express Store at KLCC gave me the wrong information. She told me it's a new plan yet to be launched.

How did you get the rebate?
*
By going into 12-month contract with DiGi. Having been with DiGi like forever, if you are on SIM only plan, as in not on a contract with device. Normally their people will call you about a month before your current contract ends and offer you the same rebate for another 12-month so they can tie you for another 1 year.

U sure 12 months contract? I spoke with them during porting in to digi and they said no contract. But I might heard wrong.
*
As far as I'm concerned, normally when you take up their rebate offer, a 12-month contract will go into effect. Anyway, you should clarify with their CS again. Or you can check if you are tied to any contract through the MyDiGi app.

I'm on 78v plan and I noticed that I am being charged for calls.

Based on my understanding, I've paid RM78 for my initial payment (1st month) and apparently based from my statement, Digi owes me RM15.

But with that being said, I am still being charged for calls. hmm.gif And btw, what is stamp duty lol
*
Did you use any SMS service ?

As for the stamp duty, Maxis doesn't have such charge for new line or new port-in. Not sure why DiGi is charging this RM10 stamp duty.

Looks promising. Now if only they can simplify their plans. DiGi is probably the only telco now that has so many different variants of their postpaid plans (even their prepaid too).
*
More choices are always good. Just like Singtel and Starhub in Singapore. There are so many types of postpaid plan.

Anyway, the DiGi Postpaid 78 and DiGi Postpaid 80 are special promotion plan and will be available for subscription until further notice whereas other postpaid plans are permanent ones until they decide to change the plan rates or features again.

You need to sign-up for DiGi Postpaid 80. Then subscribe to the internet pass (8GB for RM10).

Definitely can win Celcom as Celcom is investing RM1.8 to RM2.2 billion only over the next 5 years biggrin.gif

Celcom can certainly catch up, but not anytime soon yet as laying down fibre backhaul requires time. Maxis and Digi is way ahead of them and I don't think they can reach where Maxis and Digi is now in this year. Although so, I am interested to see how well will Celcom's network grow.
*
It's gonna be slow unless they dramatically increase the budget they intend to increase their LTE network because it is RM904 million just for this year (DiGi) vs RM1.3 billion just for this year (Maxis) vs RM1.8-RM2.2 over a period of 5 years (Celcom). The Yellow Man will invest more than RM1.8 billion already in just two years but the GLC Celcom only intend to invest the same amount of money over a period of 5 years. Hard for them to catch up biggrin.gif And don't even talk about catching up to Maxis already.

Ok. So now we know DiGi and Celcom are charging RM10 stamp duty for new postpaid sign-up or MNP to a postpaid plan whereas Maxis doesn't have such charge. How about U Mobile ?

I am confused about their internet sharing plan.

I am on the old RM75 7GB unlimited calls plan. My mum's on U Mobile prepaid. If I decide to port her number in, can I put her as my subline, so she can share my internet quota and get unlimited calls as well?
*
Not sure if internet sharing is applicable to legacy plan. You'll need to confirm with DiGi again. If it is possible, it depends which DiGi Postpaid plan your mom is using now. You'll need to pay RM10 every month to enable the internet sharing service. Let say your mom is using DiGi Postpaid 48 (more internet - 3GB data + 100 free minutes to all networks + 100 free SMS), you can either pay another RM10 a month to enable unlimited calls to all networks for your mother line or you can also choose not to pay the RM10 for unlimited calls as the RM10 for unlimited calls feature is optional.

QUOTE(jack2001 @ May 14 2016, 07:49 AM)
I guess I read the article wrongly, I though 1.8b each year for 5 years. I guess they never learn...
*
If Maxis is too expensive then always feel free to switch to DiGi. My main line has always been with DiGi since year 2004 (started out as prepaid as I was only a student then, it was the same year that having a mobile phone started to become a norm for student). DiGi isn't the inferior wireless service provider many West Malaysian think it is or used to think it is.

There is so much truth to this, I have been using Digi since 2010 and they rarely disappoint me. They used to be known to have crap network and crap packages. Now look at them, surpassing Maxis and have somewhat comparable network to Maxis and Celcom.
*
In terms of voice call Celcom still has the best coverage. That is why it is still popular and relevant in many parts of Sabah and Sarawak. But for LTE service, they fall far behind Maxis and DiGi. In fact DiGi is the second best now for LTE coverage.

I do agree on the part that Celcom has the best network for call coverage.

In my experience, Digi is the best in rural areas(in Sabah and Sarawak that is), I speak from my experience.
*
DiGi line is quite bad in the rural areas in the Sabah west coast. I have cousins and uncles staying in Kuala Penyu, Beaufort and Tenom they all use Celcom because it provides the best signal in these places. Only one of my uncle in Kuala Penyu is using DiGi and it is very hard to get hold of him sometimes due to bad reception.

QUOTE(tat3406 @ May 14 2016, 11:40 AM)
I use Digi already 10years more, because of the competitive price. last time the Digi line was no so good at ulu area, at my grandma kampong 10 years ago even don't have 2G line, now the 3G speed is very fast! Digi was not the best, but still keep on improving, and always keep the price low to compete with other telco.
*
Yes. Even in KK the line was so bad a few years ago when they were in full swing to upgrade their network. I think that was in year 2010 or 2011. At that time data was still not so important as not many were using smartphone. Besides, mobile data was still very slow then and coverage was also small. DiGi users regularly experienced dropped calls or no signal for the whole day. As DiGi has always been a big player in East Malaysia, almost everyone i know is using DiGi and they were all complaining about it. But right now there isn't such issue anymore. Many people stay put with DiGi because DiGi has always offered a very competitive postpaid and prepaid package.

QUOTE(Zhao @ May 14 2016, 12:44 PM)
Hi guys I just port in from celcom 38 yesterday.
Is it normal for digi to set my billing date start from April 21 to may 21? Shouldn't  it be prorated for 1st month? And the quota part is also 10gb..while free call is 0minutes  and Foc sms [attachmentid=6646858]
*
Are you on DiGi Postpaid 80 now ? Free minutes are shown as 0 minute because it is unlimited. But SMS isn't FOC with this package. You should check with DiGi again.
