QUOTE(pengster @ Jan 31 2007, 11:09 PM) yeah at least with HT there's another virtual core,am i right? me myself also feel tempted to change to a 1MB cache 800fsb + HT tech proc instead of upgrading the whole system QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Jan 31 2007, 11:13 PM) my prescott dont have HT... but if i can choose, i rather get 3.0E, hehe.... Yes a HT core is really better than the one which doesn't have.HT makes you feel less lagging while doing applications and gaming.

QUOTE(shinjite @ Feb 1 2007, 02:59 PM) most applications doens't support multithreading, thats why XD I agree with you. That's why we can open more than 1 application at the same time wihtout feeling lag. QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Feb 1 2007, 08:08 PM) i dont dare to lap cpu. haha.... many program doesnt support HT, but run multiple program uses HT. At least when ripping dvd or compressing files wont hog all resources. I try on doing encoding on EO video and playing Zero Hour, will slow a bit in game but doesn't really made the game lag.

Very good in overclocking. Asus mobo if not mistaken sohuld be having 1 year warranty only on new mobo.

QUOTE(kingmax @ Feb 3 2007, 04:52 PM) my motherboard already 2 years plus almost 3 years. So if i give back to the shop will they send back to the factory and fix it ? or something else they will do ? Added on February 3, 2007, 4:53 pmMy problem is this , my last post http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=401028&hl=http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=401326&hl=If like that maybe they won't help you to send for RMA or they might make some charges upon your RMA process as they need to use the delivering service to send to overseas.

QUOTE(kingmax @ Feb 3 2007, 07:01 PM) I don't even know how to OC .I am just an average user. So normally how much they will charge to RMA back ? any idea? So does it sound my mobo is dead , i still haven't send it for repair This need to depend on the shop wants to send for RMA for you or not. There are some of them after 1 year warranty they won't bother you if your mobo spoil. You can ask around the shop there if you want.

QUOTE(rainingzero @ Feb 5 2007, 06:44 PM) 865PE/GB is the chipset that support p4 soc 478 supporting 800fsb. there is also 875,like Asus, gigabyte and abit produced for their highend series.this intel 875PE support PAT.. some of the manufacturer produce mobo with VIA chipset (dunno much about this).but still can support soc478.... Got VIA and SIS also.As long as their mobos are built with S478 socket then any 478 proc can fit in already. But usually for SIS and VIA mobo ,need to check on their max proc spec capability first before going to use them.

But is sad to say that SIS is not really a famous chipset for overclockers.I think even forummers here don't even have one of them is using them according to those reported in this thread here.

VIA is ok for normal use.But in terms of overclocking sitll left very much behind from Intel chipsets. VIA and SIS are normally found out on those budget boards.

So right now irangan is using his 1950 PRO ? His signature is written incoming status for the display card. @ irangan, show us some print screen on the 3D marks. I read the reviews online that the x1950 pro did quite well on the 3D mark 06 too.

irangan like that you can consider to get a prescott 3.8GHz proc.I saw one is selling in the garage sales there.Use the proc to o/c a bit,i think it's very easy to get 4.5GHz and above. Then use that to run with your X1950 pro, then later should be able to get 4.5k in 3D mark 06.
