nope. done that, error in orthos 90 minutes. so now use default 3-4-4-8 for 220. wanna orthos again 2nite. i suspect either oc is poor due to four slots occupied or apacer ram just sucks in oc..hehe
*
APACER also depends on the chipset on the RAM.What's the chipset on your RAM ?

biggrin.gif We not not migrate to better proc yet, else 775 thread also will be going fast. laugh.gif

QUOTE(Mooneyes @ Aug 9 2007, 01:05 PM)
crap...my mistake for getting mobo with VIA chipset..should get Intel chipset...i think thats why my 3dmark score is low mad.gif
*
VIA chipset....too bad...VIA is not so famous in overclocking. You should be glad because you manage to o/c at least 20FSB higher.

QUOTE(BurgerRI @ Aug 9 2007, 02:34 PM)
wow..this thread still alive and kicking strong....anyone here managed to get a sub 35s 1mb superpi time?
*
35s on Super PI 1M... sweat.gif Need very fast proc only can do that.Mine the best is on 37.5s only wink.gif

Cool all of you are now playing with the PAT.Actually the partial PAT on 865 chipset really didn't give the feel of boosting even in Super PI maybe due to the limitation of the chipset. But if you manage to clock > 3GHz..Totally you will feel the different from stock.

Haha! Yea.. Al tough is an old technology but still worth to discuss for us. Old sch user. Btw, P4C800 series mobo is running on 875 chipset right? drool.gif Just go ebay survey, there still got some ppl selling the mobo. Thou 2nd hand but still worth to own it if got the chance.. brows.gif

Btw, just got an old socket A heatsink from my workshop. Hehe! Anyone ever mod this heatsink to a GC heatsink before? Plan to mod it for my GC. But duno where to start. hmm.gif
*
P4C800 series a based on 875P chipset. They are very nice mobo. What's the price are they selling online? If is cheap then can get from them.Heatsink to mod on GC,nice project i have never experience before. You need something to cut the heatsink to fit in the GC,then drill screw holes to tie up the heatsink.

Nah.. I where got tat bad. Im not so fierce dont worry!! Haha! Anyways, tat really a good mobo for OC lo. USUS brand. brows.gif

Btw, i think my ram hit the wall already. I cant go beyod 230mhz. If beyond tat i cant prime stable. Almost get pc hang / system restart. I had rised my vdimm to 2.8v still the same thing happen. shakehead.gif
*
You bought the mobo from ebay there? Haha,Asus changed to USUS already. Usus besar atau usus kecil. laugh.gif Looks like your proc is not so good to o/c higher. I suspect your another Kingston RAM pulls your from going higher.

Calm down calm down! Hahah! Ic.. All cap palang stuff can get that high speed? Really sweat.gif eh! Im using the what iCute extreme cool type. Also got 2 fan la! Haha! Oh yea.. I found something strange. When i go clock over 3.5Ghz right? I cant touch the cpu cooler, it seems like cooler was charged with electric. sweat.gif When touched, my hand will get shock. shocking.gif But it ok if the clock is below 3.5Ghz....... Wad the heck is going on?? Izit something go short circuted? Or the PSU didnt get grounded?

Ar? Havent get any board from ebay yet! Just survey only! Haha! My current mobo was get from a emmier a forumer here! Hehe!
*
This may cause by PSU but not sure why.I also facing this problem before, the casing was charged with electric too. But after a while the electric was gone and back to normal already. sweat.gif

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Aug 13 2007, 09:15 AM)
Owh well, i came to this thread because i miss my old socket 478 PC.
It's the easiest to overclock. Seriously.

You don't have to play with NB voltages, can oc kaw kaw with just the stock NB heatsink.
And best of all, i can oc my 3.0E kaw kaw with just using a crappy Kingston Valueram that uses crappy chipset, not even TCCD. laugh.gif

If i have a lot of money that time, i wouldn't want to sell my 3.0E, P4C800-E-Deluxe & the Kingston Valueram, i love em.
But then, that time i don't have good source of income, so i had to sell it to upgrade my system to LGA775 & PCI-e sad.gif

That time i have P4C800-E-Deluxe & P4C800 Deluxe.

Both boards are able to let me OC my 3.0E to 4GHz with just using valueram and chapalang Icute PSU.
No need to seek high performance ram and don't spend a lot of money to get good PSU.

I miss my socket 478 hardwares. sad.gif

Your mobo can said the best one in LYN here. tongue.gif No one here can get 4GHz with their mobos except you.

oo......haha.. i google for it 1st. coz i thought is my sata hold me back as well. But yours is ic7, your p4p800x how?? ever oc with your other proc??
*
My P4P800-X is also using the PATA HDD,so i think is not the problem of that. I can run 250FSB with 5:4 divider on the mobo as my RAM only DDR333. Biso side cannot choose 1:1 divider. sad.gif

QUOTE(mazaziman @ Aug 14 2007, 11:05 AM)
dunno what happen. i guess something wrong with the AGP slot. the screen goes flickering, especially when running games. sometimes happen at windows also. well, previously my 9800pro got damaged. got artifacts all over the place. i guess the GC gone coz i tried it on other pc, same thing happen. bought new GC, X850XT, installed and the it flickering once in a while. tested the new GC on my brother mobo... nothing happened... runs perfectly... i guess its the mobo fault.... haihh... its really ruin my day...
*
What mobo you are using? Flickering....9800pro got extra molex cable to plug in one,do you plugged the extra cable on it ?

asus p4p800e-deluxe. yeah i do plug in the extra cable on the gc molex. if no power connected to 9800 it wont boot.
*
Like that just suspect that the display card got problem. Maybe you can try on other board using 9800pro.

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Aug 14 2007, 01:11 PM)
yours better la, at least can run at 250, mine not even reach 245 le...... but with sata la.
maybe try swap other molex and try, maybe the molex loose or what. Dont give up on this good mobo. Or you try get a low profile card and try it out, like g4mx etc that not require any extra power.
*
Erm...this one i'm not sure as i never heard that SATA hdd will reduce the o/c potential.
