BTW don't you find that AMOLED screen tends to have yellow-ish tint after some time?
*

Just test the Need For Speed No limits. Awesome look but the performance is oh ooooooo oh ah OMG! It is stucking here and there. Need more optimization!

Samsung shall not promote this games for S7 Edge as it is bad optimization!

Thanks for testing out...luckily i'm not the only one..so actually smooth is subjective for ppl, but since i come from PC world, this kind of frame rate is unacceptable for me. As i said, my S4 is smoother than S7 in this game.

It doesn't attract dust.

But it does attract fingerprint though. Not really an issue since gotta wipe down the screen anyways.

What attracted me is that it fits well into the hand, feel secure when gripping it and its advertised as meeting mil-spec ie 4 feet drop at all 6 angles onto plywood floor 26 times.
*
Thanks guys.

Considering the Ringke Fusion and the Spigen Crystal Shell case which attract dust and finger print respectively, I guess that I should not purchase a transparent case. I'm currently looking at the Verus VRS Design Single Fit case Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge which I found out to be quite good. link

Anyone here using this can confirm that the feature as posted 'Full degree of protection: covers all four corners and includes raised edges and a TPU lip to keep the screen from scratching or touching the ground' is really effective and how many mm is the lip in case the phone drops with the screen facing down? smile.gif

hi all,

I just called Samsung earlier today regarding the extended warranty for those 1000 pre-order. The CS told me that on the day of collection (17th March) they should have sent you the SMS for normal 1 year warranty being activated. For the 2nd extended year, the CS said, Samsung will send another SMS confirming the extended warranty for the first 1000 pre-order one month from the collection which means the first 100 people should receive their confirmation SMS regarding the extended warranty by end of April in my opinion.

I just tried the original Samsung Wall Charger (Adaptive Fast Charging) to power the Choetech T518 Wireless Charging pad. This combination delivers fast wireless charging to the S7 Edge (55 mins from 68%)

It so happens the Aukey QC 2.0 wall charger was also delivered today. This has 3 USB ports, one with QC 2.0 and the other two without. When the QC 2.0 port was used to power the Choetech T518, the combination also delivered fast wireless charging (also 55 mins from 68%). With the other two ports, the wireless charging was a bit slower but not by much (1hr 11 mins from 68%)

wait for 15 W wireless charger coming soon in the near future with WPC 1.2.1 specification for even faster wireless charging.

How to check for warranty? Only now put in sim card after bought 2 weeks ago
*
You can download the mySamsung app (link) which is a dedicated customer service of Samsung to serve galaxy smartphone users. In the app after registration you can use the toll free number to check with them. or you should have received a SMS when you purchase your phone from the reseller.

To me my s7e is pretty neutral, my old iPad 3 had similar white, so as my macbook air. Low brightness tend look slightly yellowish which I don't think LCD counterpart fare any better. Problem with many LCD is they tend to be bluish, so if you're used to bluish LCD, s7e will look yellowish to you.

I think Malaysia's stock has gotten better AMOLED display batch as AMOLED has been notorious for pinkish white or uneven display, ever since S3 or maybe earlier. Many had two toned white on different part of the display. My ex s6e not just had a pinkish white (totally acceptable), also faint pink tint along the side edges. Less than perfect display is not so rare in AMOLED display.

No, I bought non pre-order. Becos I'm a true hardware enthusiast. I know the performance is much more depends on software optimization, but what I paid is for high end hardware, and I know I own a high end hardware. One more thing, I won't buy non-AMOLED phone anymore since I use S4, no way return back even IPS screen.
*
AMOLED has gotten better over the years since the Galaxy S in 2010. However, very good IPS screen now also can have very high contrast ratio and very deep black like the iPhone. Yes, I still prefer AMOLED over IPS as AMOLED is the technology that gives you the true black.

Quick one:-

How to add double tap awake via Nova Launcher? On Nova Launcher I can set for double tap to lock the phone

Thanks!

As for games, certain games are lack of optimization & the Game Launcher sux balls as they don't really decent fps when you view back the recorded video (Mobizen have better fps but lack of recording in game sound).
