Since a viable tempered glass on curved screen is currently non-existent. came across this PET (soft, dry) type protector which claimed to be 9H hardness, anti-scratch and anti-shatter. Can we believe those claims? There is also a similar screen protector (soft, wet) which claimed can be reused after washing with water.

From Chipworks tear down of the SM-G930FD, the wireless receiver used is made by IDT with the model number IDT P9221S. According to the closest model number on their website which is the IDT P9220, it supports WPC MP 1.2.1 standard that can output 15 W wirelessly. Waiting for this Incipio Ghost 15 W wireless charger to release for much faster wireless charging. rclxms.gif Current fastest wireless charger has a maximum of 10 W output which is the Cheotech.

For those using Adoptable Storage through adb, do you notice any slowdown after moving system apps to the microsd card?

hi all,

I just called Samsung earlier today regarding the extended warranty for those 1000 pre-order. The CS told me that on the day of collection (17th March) they should have sent you the SMS for normal 1 year warranty being activated. For the 2nd extended year, the CS said, Samsung will send another SMS confirming the extended warranty for the first 1000 pre-order one month from the collection which means the first 100 people should receive their confirmation SMS regarding the extended warranty by end of April in my opinion.

I just tried the original Samsung Wall Charger (Adaptive Fast Charging) to power the Choetech T518 Wireless Charging pad. This combination delivers fast wireless charging to the S7 Edge (55 mins from 68%)

It so happens the Aukey QC 2.0 wall charger was also delivered today. This has 3 USB ports, one with QC 2.0 and the other two without. When the QC 2.0 port was used to power the Choetech T518, the combination also delivered fast wireless charging (also 55 mins from 68%). With the other two ports, the wireless charging was a bit slower but not by much (1hr 11 mins from 68%)

wait for 15 W wireless charger coming soon in the near future with WPC 1.2.1 specification for even faster wireless charging.

How to check for warranty? Only now put in sim card after bought 2 weeks ago
*
You can download the mySamsung app (link) which is a dedicated customer service of Samsung to serve galaxy smartphone users. In the app after registration you can use the toll free number to check with them. or you should have received a SMS when you purchase your phone from the reseller.

No, I bought non pre-order. Becos I'm a true hardware enthusiast. I know the performance is much more depends on software optimization, but what I paid is for high end hardware, and I know I own a high end hardware. One more thing, I won't buy non-AMOLED phone anymore since I use S4, no way return back even IPS screen.

AMOLED has gotten better over the years since the Galaxy S in 2010. However, very good IPS screen now also can have very high contrast ratio and very deep black like the iPhone. Yes, I still prefer AMOLED over IPS as AMOLED is the technology that gives you the true black.

Looks like S7 Edge has the best heat dissipation among last year flagships and its little brother.
