QUOTE(zerohunter @ Apr 7 2017, 01:04 AM) i'm using the z2 non pro version, i must say the phone is worth the money. The standard Z2 is considered the best budget performance phone available for now, just that from what I heard those sold in local are with custom rom which cant be upgrade using fota (correct me if I wrong). For those which could afford more Z2 pro is quite a good option as 6gb & 128gb version could be found at 1999 rmb.

I'm now using a custom rom for daily driver, apart of the powerful sd820 and 4gb ram, the battery is incredible. I could get 8 and half hours of SOT.

I guess they are using the z2 plus rom now for the z2, does it have google launcher as default launcher? 5 inch screen with 3500mAh battery should be pretty sufficient overall.

QUOTE(zerohunter @ Apr 7 2017, 09:49 PM) It came with zui rom, zui launcher. If it zui then it should just be the chinese rom. Most likely they installed gapps using tools like gms installer instead of flashing it. As from what I know, zuk z2 only available in 2 form, default zuk branding z2 in china and lenovo branding z2 plus for india, where india one is with google launcher instead of zui. I had check up with a few local seller around august last year in lelong where they reply that it cant be update through fota. And one thing I dont like getting it here cause its not brand new sealed unit This post has been edited by sniperwolf: Apr 7 2017, 10:03 PM

Need some recommendation from the pro:
1. Brand. : reliable brand.
2. Budget. RM1000-2000
3. Specs. Ram: 4GB or higher, ROM : 64GB. Screen : Less than 6", but more than 5.2". Water resistance preferable. At least fullHD screen.
4. What you need in the phone : Generally use for messaging, twitters, web surfing from time to time. Do some music listening via earphone (speaker quality is not important, but good DAC for good earphone would be great but not compulsory.), prefers good quality Camera too.
My problem: I am using Sony Z2 now, was looking into Note 5, new sony ZX even Huawei P9+. But any HP outthere I should look at as well ?
Thank you.

Hi Sifu, PLs recommend some budget phone for elder people, below are the requirements
1. Brand. (Prefer Sony or other reliable phone, No Samsung/Xiaomi) 2. Budget. (Below RM800, unless the slight top up is really good upgrade) 3. Specs. (Ram preferably 3gb, ROM atleast 16GB/Camera to be decent for both front and back/Screen size more than 5") 4. What you need in the phone (durable and stable phone)
Additional notes, currently is using Sony C4 and he pretty like it, just that the phone suffer some serious damage lately so looking for a worthy phone
