QUOTE(Alan Yee @ Mar 25 2016, 06:50 AM) Huawei Honor 7? Huawei G8? Huawei Honor 5X? ASUS Zenfone 2? Oneplus X? There is also super long battery life Lenovo P1, and Lenovo K4 Note, all with metal casing, dual front speaker, fingerprint. Still, the Redmi Note 3 is the best buy. Thank you, sounds pretty much like my conclusion so far. Any comments on camera comparison? That's the thing she would like the most.

QUOTE(Alan Yee @ Jun 10 2016, 11:41 PM) You should able to get Oneplus 2, 64GB, 4GB RAM, SD810 processor, 5.5" 1080p, less than RM1499 at GemFive online store. Local Malaysia Bright Star warranty. Personally don't suggest AP set, very bad AP warranty. Many AP phone network not compatible to Malaysia FDD-LTE. Thanks, that one looks really good. Noted on AP, I'm aware the issues, but the price savings really quite significant. That plus the fact I do have backup older phones available for downtime if need to send for 2 week+ warranty claim means am prepared to face that consequence.

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Jun 30 2016, 11:09 PM) 1. Brand: preferably not xiaomi, plenty of bloatware. 2. Budget: rm600-800 3. Specs: preferably 32gb if possible. 4. What you need in the phone: durable, for parents. can whatsapp, take basic pictures and video. side note: what's the difference between 5x and 5c? which is better? Padfone S +. After voucher on Lazada can even get below RM600. Snapdragon 801, 64GB storage. Only disadvantage is battery life not too good. For parents who are low usage and don't game it's a good phone.

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Apr 15 2017, 09:04 PM) Redmi Note 4 or wait for Oppo A57 as they usually shoot better photo than Redmi series even on their entry OPPO phone. Others you can consider like Honor series phone. How does the Mi 5S compare though, about RM1k also right?

QUOTE(NightFelix @ Apr 22 2017, 08:49 PM) Sorry I meant Mi 5 Prime (Xiaomi models quite confusing). Can be found for just <RM1.1k, so still close to the RM1k budget, and camera should be quite a bit better than Redmi Note 4? EDIT: Even can find AP Mi 5 phones for below RM1k. Brand: anything 2. budget: 500 max. 3. specs: best bang for buck for parents 4. others: screen needs to be big, 5.5' and above Thank u sifus. A bit beyond your budget is Lenovo K5 note. Can be found on Lazada, if there's any good vouchers (or use shopback) can bring to just about RM500 prince.

QUOTE(Axell @ May 13 2017, 12:24 PM) My budget is around 1k, should I get second hand Samsung Note 4 or Note 5, or a new Huawei P10 Lite? Need advise Just got a Mi Max 128GB/4GB (AP) for about that price on Lazada. Specs will blow any of the above out of the water (except camera, if that's important go for Note, but secondhand you dunno how long it'll last).
