Chelsea manager-elect Antonio Conte has been cleared of any wrongdoing in a match-fixing scandal from 2011.

The 46-year-old, who will lead Italy at Euro 2016 next month, was accused of doing nothing to halt a scandal while in charge of Italian side Siena.

However, a judge in Cremona acquitted Conte because the accusations of sporting fraud were baseless.

Conte, who served a ban in connection with the case in 2012, will take charge of Chelsea after the Euros.

In August 2012, while coach of Juventus, the former Italy international was banned for 10 months for not reporting alleged match-fixing in two games involving Siena in the 2010-11 season.

This was later reduced to four by an Italian sports tribunal and Conte became coach of his national team in August 2014.

LONDON -- John Terry has cancelled a scheduled private party at Stamford Bridge as he continues to weigh up Chelsea's offer of a one-year contract extension, multiple sources have confirmed to ESPN FC.

Reports last week revealed that Terry, determined to play at Stamford Bridge one last time despite being suspended for Chelsea's final two Premier League matches, had been granted free use of the pitch and other stadium facilities by the club to hold a farewell party with friends and family on Monday.

But Chelsea's surprise decision to offer their captain a new one-year deal, announced by the club on Friday, has turned the situation on its head and raised the possibility that Terry's 18-year professional career at Stamford Bridge may yet continue.

The Football Association fined Chelsea and Tottenham a total of £600,000 on Monday for failing to control their players after the teams clashed at Stamford Bridge this month.

Chelsea will pay £375,000 and Tottenham £225,000 after both clubs admitted three breaches of misconduct during a feisty 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge on May 2, the FA said.
