I feel that With today's camera good performance in high iso and better kit lens, it should be a good as beginner combo and sufficient for non professional works.

used before the 24-105 on cropped sensor camera before and feel that it is not wide enough for some of my cases during travel as I need to capture some landscape and indoor scenes. the telephoto end is nice though especially with IS. the auto focus quite fast for me.
sold it after tried it for awhile and bought the tamron 17-50 f/2.8 non vc for general purpose shooting and travel. no thought of switching to full frame for next 5 or even 10 years unless the price is getting affordable or I get a lot of money by then |

Watched a few cases especially those during concerts. Kinda scary as the damage are seen immediately once it hit your camera sensor.

QUOTE(Ulysses @ Mar 17 2017, 06:03 PM) guys, is the tamron sp 90 non VC 2nd hand for rm770 a great price? steal price? New one around 1k plus as I last see on 11 Street. Don't have macro lens but I prefer got vc. You need lower f stop as you want to get more depth of field which means lower light coming to the camera and you need slower shutter speed to counter it for exposure.one more question... can we take good macro handheld using sp90 non VC? heard that VC version is better for taking handheld macro If you just plan to use it for studio works, non VC should be enough as you can always use tripod. |

QUOTE(kasey1314 @ Mar 22 2017, 09:17 PM) canon 600D used with 2 lens Depends on the condition of the camera. If around 20k shutter count or lower together with those 2 lenses, it is a good deal.EF-M18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM EF-S55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM @ RM 1500 , is good deal ? But as mentioned, ef m lens cannot be mounted on 600d and I think no adapter for it. I owe a 600d as well. You can only use the efs lens for the 600d. The camera and the efs lens for rm1.5k I think also a fair deal if the camera condition is good and got extra accessories such as bag or batteries. |

mirrorless like eos m3 have 49 AF points while dslr like 750d got only 19 AF points which are known all cross-type.
Does this mean m3 focusing is better in term of coverage? How about speed wise, I heard canon mirrorless one not good enough yet as their dslr counterparts. |

QUOTE(kasey1314 @ Mar 25 2017, 11:28 AM) Yup but again you can't use the ef m lens for the 600d. Just check everything properly if you decided to proceed.Ps: just realized you posted the pictures which both is efs mount after I replied. This post has been edited by teikboon: Mar 25 2017, 11:53 AM |

Here's what I might do:
1. check the camera's outlook whether there is any crack or not or it is as what mentioned on the sale. 2. before attach the lens to the camera, try check whether got any spots or not. if got some dust (not much), it is still ok coz lens over the time will collect some of it. You can check later whether it will affect the pictures or not. If the lens got other than dust such as fungus or some oily spots, better don't take it coz it might infect your camera sensor later on which is costly to repair. 3. try snap a few photos with both lenses to make sure the camera is working or not together with the lens. in the pictures try see got any spots or not. it might be difficult to check directly through camera screen but at least it is one of the ways. 4. for battery, ask the seller to charge for you till full so that you can test more during the COD. what's the purpose of testing if battery is not there. original battery cost more but it is better coz compatibility. I no use a 3rd party one before but it will be cheaper. for battery, you might can find a cheap one from shops in case they doing clearance sales. 5. if you not so familiar with camera, better ask a friend who is familiar with it to go with you. 6. if you just want a camera to learn dslr and plan upgrade for much better in the future (2 or 3 years time), 600D with lenses will be better than 700D alone. AT the end, the choice is yours. Happy camera hunting. |
