Has anyone tried before transferring the points to a frequent flyer programme under different name? Is is allowed? I'm asking because I might have huge company spending in future, hence I'll definitely have too much points balance. Thinking transferring some of it to my family members and relatives. I know for Enrich, I can buy the tickets on behalf and for Asia Miles I can maintain up to 5 friends and families account. But it's troublesome each time I have to buy for them. Moreover if I really have too much points might consider trading it too (not sure if it's allowed though if I trade the points through transfer directly from credit card to others' frequent flyer account). I know ethically selling points are not allowed. Need some help here as I'll really be flooded with points very soon.

Unfortunately u're not allowed to transfer your Maybank treat point to 3rd party frequent flyer account anymore. They cross check the name.

Thanks for your reply, yes called Maybank earlier confirmed not allowed.

Of course I took it up with TGV la. All they say is counter close. Please join the normal Q. Sue I bark at MBB la.  MBB committed this as a benefit when they informed the cardholders. If they dont want to be responsible, they shouldnt use this promotion for advertising. Disgraceful.
*
I agree. Our "relationship" is with MBB and not TGV. There are many reasons why people are using their cards, i.e benefits, miles, etc. Hence bank cannot just simply publicize "attractive" promotions but customers do not really enjoy or receive what is promised. Disclaiming responsibility is to be condemned and most deplorable. I believe they don't have that much say in this, but at least they can highlight this to TGV and not sending a standard reply to customer.

This became cheapo cards now after they revised the minimum income requirement. Lol. Highest tier still their diamanté
*
I'm curious that after reducing to 120k requirement, they no more have higher tier card to target high earners. Diamante is by invitation and super high end, how about those with 180k to maybe 400k annual income, there's clearly a gap here. Not sure if they will have another card soon, else they really might lose out on this tier of customers

Didn't know that, quite hard to track as they don't have another column to show the points earned by transactions.
Thanks for sharing.

Anyone encounter fraud cases on M2C Premier cards?
Is there a frequent breech in maybank security?

I personally encounter twice on my supplementary cards.
1st happen on VI, a sudden 4 transaction on Google*Glu Mobile at midnight.
Luckily i received sms regarding the transaction and called up CS to verify.
But they told me tat Google is a valid company so is not consider a fraud case. She ask me whether gt any family sign up google account  and google auto update apps then charges on card.
But i told CS that we r using iOS not android and we aso din store CC details in the PC or phone.
Anyhow, i insist blocking that card then reissue a new card and maybank charge me for rm50 card replacement.
Later i send in a dispute form to maybank and luckily they reimbursed me all the unauthorized charges and i request for waive of card replacement fee which is still pending.

Now again..same issue happen again. this time on AMEX card by the same supplementary holder. Same transaction by google as well..called CS again told google is not a fraud comp cannot block the transaction. Again they ask me to check whether is google app auto update.

I was wondering could it be a breech in the whole batch of CC..coz it happen on the both card that was issued the same time..

anyone have experience in this "so called google company" transaction?
Hopefully tis time can get reimbursed in full again.

Touch wood have not encountered any fraud case with these cards, despite using them for online, overseas, etc. I've encountered on my Citibank though when overseas, total fraud amount about RM 30k, fully waived by Citibank. I don't think they should charge you the card replacement fee, if they agree to waive and believe it's fraud case. Card must be suspended and replaced for all fraud case, so it doesn't make sense for them to waive but then charge you RM 50

Regarding using CC for cars. I've signed about RM 25k on Nissan, no charges at all, but they only allow Visa, not Amex. On another case, Mercedes allow Amex but they charge you 2%.

It's 93,500 KF miles on saver for return. I plugged in SIN-MEL.

Looking even one year ahead is not enough for popular routes like SIN-JFK. The miles and points game is much more nuanced than simply accumulating miles. Finding award space is an art form. There are many ways to actually get the dream flights/seats you want. You can lock-in 12 months' out then pay the change fee to get the actual dates/flights you want.

My point is this: nothing of value comes easy. I found out that accumulating the miles was just the first (and easiest) step. Sure, it's easy if you are satisfied with MH J and the timing works. But for me, the extra effort is worth it, especially crafting out a complex multi-carrier award redemption using AsiaMiles.

My avoidance of MH has absolutely nothing to do with the recent twin tragedies or superstition etc. I just find their redemption really poor value for my hard earned miles.

Well said. Can't agree more

just performed my redemption to 30k asia miles
indeed earning treats points was very easy with the 5x thingy.

RM 1 = 5 TP
4.77TP = 1 mile
RM 1 > 1 mile?  thumbsup.gif

question now
how long does it take for it to be processed?
any members can share?

Most of the time 1 to 5 working days

Exactly, devaluations are perfectly normal and expected but, in the case of Enrich Miles, they've had two big devaluations in two years and right now are almost worthless compared to competing airlines.

It's a pity because Malaysia Airlines used to be my favorite airline and I would try to fly them but between this, them cancelling their direct flight to France and the overall service going downhill I almost don't fly them any more and I certainly don't convert my treatpoints to Enrich Miles.

In the short term, I think this devaluation will save them money by allowing them to decrease the liability they have due to members having miles. The problem is that airlines earn money whenever customers convert treatpoints or other credit card points to miles (or on each transaction of credit cards that directly give miles to the airline).
This can be a significant revenue stream. Some airlines in the US earn more than half of their revenue by selling miles to credit card companies or other credit card partnership.

In this case, by devaluing Enrich Miles to effectively be worth much less than Krisflyer Miles or Asiamiles, they become less competitive and it's likely that this revenue stream will dry up. Especially since Singapore Airlines is unlikely to have a new devaluation in the next couple of years since they've already had one (which was relatively minor). So, in the long term, this seems like a bone headed move but that seems to be the norm for Malaysia Airlines in the past couple of years.
*
Well said. Airline do earn money from bank on sales of their miles. Major part also comes from unutilized and expired miles.
Totally disagree with some that devaluation is common so nothing to shout about. If one spend a little more time to compare or read more online, Enrich is easily one of the worst in value for ticket redemption, further devaluation means they are no more competitive at all. Guess they couldn't be bothered now and willing to sacrifice their loyalty program and frequent fliers. Yes redeeming with other airlines are harder, but with a little bit of time spent, securing a ticket is still possible, unless many out there prefer to pay double the miles for the little extra convenient of redeeming through MAS which has higher ticket availability. Again don't forget they only fly to very few destination now, so redeeming through One World Alliance can be as painful

That means you can't wait for them to win a match then buy on the day itself. You need to buy first and based on luck whether you get 5x points.
Since UK is 8 hours behind, if the match is at 12.30am on 30th Dec in Malaysia, UK time would still be 29th Dec.

QUOTE(or_ca @ Dec 29 2017, 11:34 AM)
Correct!
*
Yes based on UK time, but can also plan for some early matches i.e 7.30pm match, and decide if to spend later, anyway not worth it unless have large transactions which you're flexible enough to spend any time.
One thing to note though, please monitor if you really get 5X points, I tried to monitor one of the days when MU won a match, I was only given 2X points

7.30 matches are quite rare lol.
Are they usually correct with their 5x giving if MU wins? Ughh having to monitor everytime is quite troublesome...
*
Yes rare and MU has to win, that's why it's not worth the trouble unless you're spending substantial amount which doesn't accept Amex.

I only checked once and only got 2x points so I not sure. Think you just need to verify if you spend big amount, for me I couldn't be bothered since I don't really spend a lot with MU card (for me normally when amount is huge, Amex will normally be accepted)

Omg, diff CS gave diff answer. This is really bad. The one I asked was their FB Page, so they should be more knowledgable?
*
It's confirmed follow UK matchday, so spend on Monday. I've had 2 written mail from them before this, and also a recorded voice call.
However, I not sure if you all do check the extra MU points, I've checked all my previous statements recently, 80% of the points awarded were wrong.
They award manually so it tend to have many human mistakes, if you're spending huge amount, remember to verify.

Thanks for clarifying, mine normally correct, but i only spend once in a month...
*
Maybe I've too many transactions, I didn't plan my spending during match day, I just spend as normal hence I do have many small transactions falling on the day when MU won. I guess if you only have 1 or 2 huge amount every month that will be easier for them to award correctly.

I msged them again to reconfirm saying there are some CS mentioning it’s Monday but they keep replying confirm on Tuesday lol. Maybe I’ll call CS ask them to email me a formal confirmation to be safe as well.

Yes drop them a formal mail, so far all their reply to me was consistent.

Hi. Want to ask for opinion. I have just started using my M2Premier cards. I went to apply supp cards for my wife, so that we can combine our spending to earn Enrich Miles faster. However, the lady at maybank card centre told us that the Enrich miles cannot be used to redeem flight tickets for others (only can redeem tickets for the Enrich account holder). Is that true? I have read that many people redeem tickets for their wife and children.
Instead the lady asked my wife to apply for the M2Premier cards for herself.
*
Can redeem for others, maybe what she meant was your wife supplementary cannot transfer to her own Enrich account? But for sure you can redeem tickets for her

Thank you for the feedback. The staff told my wife that her spending will contributes to my Enrich account and the Enrich points under my name are for my own redemption only.
Or maybe I misunderstood the staff.

Anyway, glad to find out that I can use the Enrich points to redeem for my wife and kids.
*
Maybe the staff doesn't know lor, they're bank side, unlikely they know the details of Enrich redemption.
