they gain by expiring ur miles. also they are public company. they will not do that to hurt investor  mega_shok.gif

Honestly KF has been very kind in extending the expiring miles so many times, while AM is super strict and do not entertain any extension request for those miles earned before 1st Jan 2020

Received a spending notification today, unauthorised transaction on TNB Auto Billing.

Called Maybank, they said it's not overseas fraud and normally will not happen especially for auto billing. Asked me send in dispute form, told them I've no time for that.

Told them to investigate who gave approval on the auto debit? Is it fraud from TNB, fraud from the respective payer who used my card, or it's Maybank's mistake processing the wrong credit card?

I can only think of few reasons:-
- someone stole my card number and requested for auto debit (very unlikely to scam on auto debit moreover amt only RM 100+)
- could it be the person who submitted the auto debit request key in the wrong CC number, I'm unsure are there are cards number with only 1 digit difference
- Maybank processed the wrong card for auto debit, though I not sure how it could happen

Told them they must let me know how this could happen, not just simply refund.

You have to be proactive to stop this as well, even though you genuinely never sign up for TNB auto billing. Can't just push this to Maybank

In the end you are the one who rugi.

They file a report for me already, so they will investigate.

is this 100k miles under the new validity rules?

If so, just convert the minimum amount and it's good.
*
If it expires in Sep means it's the old rule

Deleted my previous message. laugh.gif I confused myself. tongue.gif

OK, I have checked and this is under new rule. Thank God, so I will redeem something minimum then...

I have about 40k+ miles expiring in April and May next year which are under old rule.

I have 200k expiring in Jan 2022, stressed.....

I got 270k expiring Nov 2022. Hopefully everything is well by then
*
Should be quite safe, redeem 1 year in advance = Nov 2023
SQ so much more considerate than CX in miles expiry/extension

Those earn before the new rules will be extended also during this Pandemic, call AM after your miles expired snd they will provide to you with two challenges to comply, both by crediting miles into your AM account
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 28 2021, 12:29 PM)
Thanks for the heads up. I hope the two challenges are not challenging. sweat.gif

Easily obtainable. Don’t worry. Haha
*
QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 28 2021, 09:22 PM)
Thanks. I will do it in August then, mine expiring in September.

If I read it correctly, only can call to appeal "after miles expired", too risky to bet on this. I don't trust AM customer service had lots of bad experience with them, even worst than KF.

Just wondering, any with very low spending but still able to get the AF waiver? I've one MU VI spending <10k, a bit reluctant to cancel it as have lots of TP balance. Last time still can play BP, Boost, etc, now cannot already, no idea how to meet the min spending

I have been too busy recently and almost forgotten that my 100k AM is expiring this month.. So I quickly redeemed Starbucks eCard RM 100, at least it is small amount of redemption and may be useful for me though I hardly buy from Starbucks...

Hope this can further extend my miles for another 18 months. I don't want to further convert M2P TP to AM anymore.

I supposed your expiry is under the new system. How is the expiry shown in your account, based on what I read in their FAQ, it seems that the new miles system will never show the expiry, but we got to manually calculate which can be easily overlooked.

Below is the extract from the FAQ
• For Miles under the time-based system, an expiration date will be shown so you can keep track of the Miles’ due date.
• For Miles placed under the new activity-based system, you will only find the last Miles crediting or debiting date. You can keep track of the expiration date of the Miles in the activity-based system by adding 18 months to the last crediting or debiting date.

Yeah, that's right but I did receive email reminder about it and when I opened the app, it did show me a message saying some of my miles are expiring in Sept 2021.
*
I always overlook e-mail, guess I'll just set a recurring reminder every 18 mths.....
But I still like the "non-expiring" miles, will still continue transferring some miles to AM.
Headache with SQ with so much miles accumulated and can't fly.

Cancelled my M2P combo as I was not able to fulfill the minimum spending requirement. Straight showing account closed on M2U. laugh.gif Nevertheless, MBB CS told me I can reinstate the cards anytime within 6 months but I will still need to pay for the AF. I can reapply again 6 months later and I will enjoy free first year of AF. I guess I will apply again after 6 months since I can easily get it back, I guess. No issue on income requirement or minimum CL. laugh.gif
*
They waived my AF despite not meeting requirement, if not mistaken spent 30k+ but that's maybe because told them I have so many MBB cards, I cannot be meeting requirement for all the cards

Sorry about this, I am trying to read back the old posts before I apply for this card.

Would like to know why you didn’t focus your spending on just these 2 premier cards? What is the reason of having other cards? Since we meet to meet annual spending for these 2 cards

And reading through the post, I have the impression the minimum spending of 50k is the combination of total spending of both VI/MUVI and Amex reserve
Additionally, I would like to ask, if I top up to lazada wallet then withdraw it back to my bank account, is consider as minimum spending right?
*
Different cards have different purpose, and no harm having extra MUVI cards too.

There is a risk, better check with CS before termination.
Check with CS whether can transfer supp TP into yours, then you are safe.
Nowadays alipay can linked to foreign CC, so much useful, spent 0 cash for my recent trip.
*
I'm going to China soon, I read about the AliPay and have also linked my CC, but I read that is it they got to scan you, we will not be able to scan them to pay?
Can share your experience, is it close to 100% able to pay with AliPay successfully? I also don't want to bring cash if possible, maybe just minimal for emergency

I only got the email to recommend people to apply that Plat card. laugh.gif

I received it too, but I doubt the annual fee is waived, they did not mention about it. In fact, I think they want to earn the annual fee, lol
Probably can call The Platinum Service to ask if interested.
*
I received it, no way they're going to waive AF, seems quite desperate think they lost so many customers from M2P that now they hope some will move to Plat.
I was considering to reapply again but the promo only for "NEW" member, and they didn't define anywhere what they meant by NEW, it's common for other banks to spell out NEW = 6 months etc
