QUOTE(herc @ Mar 23 2018, 04:55 PM) UOB Bronze Card, never heard of it, what is it about? New metal card but nothing new, OCBC had it for some time now. I signed up the OCBC one just as a favor to the RM. Just a fancy card, very thick and will never crack. Something to showoff to friends I suppose but I don't even carry it because it bulks up the wallet.

QUOTE(jtl @ May 17 2018, 11:57 AM) Where would you convert your points? Asia Miles? I am in a quandary now. I want to park my points somewhere in June (after abolishment of GST and before inflation of MBB points) but not sure to park with Enrich or AM. Enrich also sent out an email today giving a promo of 10% extra. So a little confused as what to do IMHO Enrich only has one clear advantage - availability. But since the massive devaluation, it's really hard to swallow. After all our miles are hard earned

hi guys sorry abit off topic - do we get any discounts if redeeming KF miles online compared to calling them up? Their website is a pain to use and there is literally zero availability to any destination. what sort of frequent flyer program is that

Not sure why you saying its hard for you to search, but i simply click any destination any date, there always a business class for me to redeem or in waiting list. [attachmentid=9932978] OK thanks for the info. I am flying from KL so somehow the flights don't show, did you log in to search

QUOTE(yoonyin @ Jul 23 2018, 06:12 PM) Yes, you need to log in and do the searching by selecting redeem flight. Here is the result, business return miles from KL to London. [attachmentid=9933143] I have always been an Enrich frequent flyer but since last year began accumulating KF miles. What is your experience with regards to the waitlist? When do you get confirmation the seats are secured? Difficult to plan travel when you don't even know if the tickets are secured... This post has been edited by Jack128: Jul 24 2018, 12:38 PM

QUOTE(raist86 @ Jul 24 2018, 02:58 PM) I just redeemed a whole bunch of KF miles for a trip to Europe last week. Availability TBH is touch and go and it depends on which routes you're flying to. SQ releases award seats for booking 355 days from departure. For popular routes and on business class, u need to book either way ahead or last minute. also, the day of flight plays a big role for availability. For example, i booked from KUL - SIN - ZHR, and i found available seats on Tuesday and Thursdays for the few weeks at the end of March and early April. I also think for far ahead booking >7 or 8 months, SQ releases only 2 J class award ticket for booking because after i booked my seats, the next J booking became under waitlist. Closer to flight date, if seats are not sold, SQ will release the seats for award booking hence waitlist would be cleared. I'd advice to keep trying different dates and flight combination. Sometimes, if you search KUL - LHR, the flight might show up as waitlist, but if you search SIN - LHR, the flight may be available. This is due to insufficient award space for the KUL - SIN sector which is hard to get. If that's the case, it's easier to just buy a air asia ticket to hop over to SIN to catch the outbound flight. Once you have the dates down, if you're booking multicity booking, call their call center to get them to piece together the sectors under one ticket for easier management. I'd say their call center is top notch if you have all the details down. Total took me like 15 mins to settle all the booking... My previous experience with Enrich took me almost 45 mins and after multiple calls to make one booking. Playing the miles game is all about flexibility and persistence. So far after redeeming Enrich, Asia Miles and Krisflyer, i find Krisflyer is the most straight forward and easier to find seat as compared to CX. Not to mention the cash outlay is also cheaper as there's no more surcharge on SQ metal. Looking forward to try the new A380 and singapore hospitality too. Thanks Raist86, your insights are most helpful

QUOTE(chiahau @ Sep 28 2018, 04:44 PM) If you have a Centurion, you can just call the Concierge and tell them you want to pay your new Ferrari with the card. They'll make the necessary arrangements for you But yes, I've seen people paying 300k for their mercedes with credit card. But you gotta be a regular for them to do your business la. If the customer is willing to pay an extra 1-3% bank charges, then I am sure the merchant will accept full payment by card. But are the points worth it? Maybe only for the Amex. I for one will not pay This post has been edited by Jack128: Sep 28 2018, 05:43 PM

QUOTE(limeuu @ Sep 28 2018, 05:49 PM) Merchants will not accept payment by cc/charge card because they have to pay 2-3% transaction fees to the bank....not viable if your margin is thin.... For a 1mil swipe, that's 20-30k of fees..... If you have money, just inform the bank you are making a big payment, and they will approve it....no problem there.... Which is exactly my experience when purchasing cars. I used to kacau the salesgirl by asking if possible to pay by cc but the answer is always a firm no. I never offered to pay the bank charges of course. Then again, with supercars aka prancing horse they may have super margins and wouldn't mind the relatively small bank charges

QUOTE(digidigi @ Feb 28 2019, 09:18 AM) you have to spend yesterday ... Btw this card is not just use for top up, if one day this game stop I guess many in this thread can’t even meet AF waive requirement I hope they clamp down on this and stop people from playing the system. Eventually the bank will find the whole program unsustainable and genuine card users will (unfairly) also suffer the consequences.

QUOTE(propusers @ Feb 28 2019, 05:38 PM) will not last long unless MU lost 90% of the matches or MBB can exclude the BP MCC Well this may sound unpopular but I hope they stop it soon. It is clearly a loophole to get around all the criteria set by MBB and it is unfair to those who play by the book if the whole thing crashes one day
