QUOTE(rivetindigo @ Mar 26 2019, 11:54 AM) Base on my spending experience using m2c for the past 3 months, not many merchant accept amex. Even some rolex ad does not accept amex. Its like 90% spending on visa vs 10% amex. Hope there will be more merchant accepts amex 😅 Spot on - not everywhere accepts AMEX. Based on my past 2 years spending pattern, only 30% is charged to AMEX, and the rest on VISA.

I managed to use Amex : Visa at 2:1 for last year. Nevertheless, I grouped overseas / foreign currency transaction under Amex (actual usage is Visa, but most cases Amex is acceptable, and both getting x5 TP). No luxury spending (usually accepting Amex). A large portion from visa are contributed from insurance though.

If have big ticket items normally can sign Amex. My transactions probably 2:1 too, but when comes to value, Amex will be 75%

Oh you spend so much on insurance, Amex usually flight tickets, hotel, groceries, e-wallet, some shopping, overseas spending total up quite substantial Mentioned no of transactions because normally more places reject Amex, so it always give us the feeling can spend too little with it but if value actually comprise much higher This post has been edited by msa9696: Mar 27 2019, 11:31 AM

Actually spent on a one-off big amount insurance last year. My most non-Amex use is online shopping (shopee etc), a few restaurants and pharmacy not accepting Amex. Will try every possible chance to pay with Amex (via e-wallet etc)
